Adrian Rogers Gets The
Skull and Crossbones Award

Adrian Rogers, who died in 2005, gets this Skull and Crossbones Award for his license for immorality teaching. Though dead, Adrian Rogers' concepts and materials will continue for a long time to be spread. Adrian Rogers sadly taught the following, as he describes a Christian:

We’re talking about a person who has received Christ into his heart by faith, who has become a partaker of the divine nature, who has been twice born, who has received the new birth. This person can never, ever, ever again be a lost soul. (How You Can Be Sure You Are Eternally Secure, audio-tape RA-1728, part 1, 8/1/93).

Adrian Rogers

Adrian Rogers' statement is typical for a Southern Baptist pastor, which Adrian Rogers was. His doctrine implies that NO SIN of commission or omission, regardless what it may be, or DOCTRINAL HERESY believed (or taught) could ever produce spiritual death. That error throws the door wide open for any type of wild living, while being seemingly protected by their false related teachings on grace, sin and salvation.

One common trait shared by all license for immorality teachers is: King David never lost his salvation when in adultery and murder and neither did Peter after he disowned Jesus three times and fell away! This is detailed more in our acid test. It may be a surprise to some to know that it is still possible to correctly reject Calvinism, and still be guilty of teaching a license for immorality! Adrian Rogers is a prime example of this!

Suicides, criminal acts and broken homes through adultery are the ongoing fruits of once saved always saved and all who teach a license for immorality. Along with many others, Adrian Rogers was guilty. He has helped to distort the image of a Christian to a mere form of godliness and one who can serve the devil till death, but then go and live with God beyond the grave. God bless you.
