Could The Asteroid Apophis Be A Major
End Times Event?
Have you ever heard of the Asteroid Apophis? A most stirring Fox news broadcast about a coming large asteroid in 2029, then again in 2036, was announced years ago. The asteroid was first discovered in 2004. It has been broadcasted that there is a tiny chance that the asteroid in 2036 could have a LETHAL impact on our planet for millions, as per well-known theoretical physicist, Michio Kaku!
The Asteroid Apophis Below Our Orbiting Satellites!
According to Michio Kaku, it is the first major asteroid threat to Earth - larger than 1,000 feet across - during our era of modern technology! It has been named Apophis (after the Egyptian demon serpent god of darkness and death). Apophis will pass by Earth twice - first in 2029 below our orbiting satellites, then again on April 13, 2036 when a collision into our planet might occur! From what was described, such an event might possibly be the fulfillment of what the Lord Jesus referred to here:
There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will FAINT FROM TERROR, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. (Luke 21:25,26)
If that large 2036 asteroid does hit planet earth,
it will definitely affect our planet's rotation as it goes around the sun! Fire storms, soot and smoke will shoot into the atmosphere, etc. and at least 500-1,000 miles will be directly affected by the collision itself, that is, IF the Asteroid Apophis hits our planet in 2036.
Something Very Frightening Is Coming
Regardless if Asteroid Apophis hits or misses our planet, something will occur in the future that will fulfill Luke 21:25,26! Whatever that will be, people will know it is coming before it arrives and will be fainting in terror over its destructive arrival! It remains a
bible mystery at this point, but that scripture will surely be fulfilled. Something similar is also described in Revelation:
I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. (Rev 6:12-14)
Something Much Worse Than Any Apophis Asteroid Collision
If you think the possible 2036 Apophis asteroid collision is terrorizing, something much more frightening, but 100% factual, is concisely stated in Rev. 20:15:
If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Imagine watching God's holy angels pick people up and throw them into the lake of burning sulfur, on the basis of their names not being in the book of life. What a frightening event! The Rev. 20:15 incident is guaranteed and will be on the basis of names not being in the book of life (which indicates one does not have spiritual life at the point of his death). Rev. 20:15 will happen and MOST people will experience the fiery effects from that (Mt. 7:13,14). Clearly, there absolutely is not a
universal salvation for all, as some believe.
Also, names can be blotted from the book of life after one is born again, disproving the popular eternal security doctrine.

We are now in 2016. Let's suppose in 2036 the asteroid does hit our planet. IF that occurs 20 years from now, surely many reading this will be long dead before that catastrophe. If that collision happens or not, our own physical deaths are certain! We can't escape! We are still going to die. There is ONLY ONE way to spiritually prepare for death! That way is to unashamedly follow the Lord Jesus Christ in this wicked world (Jn. 14:6; 1 Jn. 5:12,13; etc.). Obeying the Lord Jesus (believing on Jesus) is the only way to a PARADISE this world knows nothing about. Such is also the only way to have your name written in the book of life, as mentioned in Rev. 20:15. [BTW, I personally believe that if the human powers ruling our present world knew for sure the Asteroid Apophis was going to hit us in 2029 or 2036, they would NOT tell us because that would cause a worldwide panic!]
