Bible Answers Basic To Christian Beliefs

(Bible Question)

My name is _____________ and I was a saved believer for some time, but for some time I became like an atheist. I have been asking God to forgive me and I do feel a more stronger desire to serve Him, but passages like Hebrews 6 prevents me from pursuing the desire I have for God. I know you believe in Conditional Security, but I am wondering if you can tell me if my situation is hopeless or not, I do want to be saved. I know you do believe that a person can be saved again, but I am wondering if you can help me understand whether or not I have gone so far away from grace that I can't return. I am literally haunted at times from passages like Hebrews 6. I have also been terrified by the idea at times of whether or not I have committed the unpardonable sin. Sincerely,

(Bible Answer) Greetings in Jesus' name. There are several points in my answer: (1) You stated that you have been asking God to forgive you, but have you repented (turned from your sins) to serve God? Notice this relevant verse:

For they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God (1 Th 1:9)

(2) YES, YES, YES you can return to God! Here is Scriptural backing for it:

You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. (Rom 11:19-23)

So again, you can come back to God through repentance to serve God, as the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: 19-31) did. The Father “ran” to welcome him home and was so glad to have him back that there was a feast! So stop allowing the DEVIL to lie to you! God's truth is clear.

(3) Heb 6:4-6 and 10:26-29 do NOT apply to you. The context of that book is, the Hebrews Christians were under great pressure to return to the synagogues, but to do so would mean they would have to commit eternal sin, according to history. For the ones that did return, Heb. 6:4-6 and 10:26-29 apply. Hence, for that unique sin there was no forgiveness. That is NOT what you did! The unpardonable sin is not unbelief as you fell into. It is believing/saying Jesus had a demon and by the power of the devil he performed his miracles (Mk. 3:22-30). That is not your sin.

(4) NOTE: You are in a battle for your SOUL. You must be guarded or you'll get picked off again! Please read this for new Christians. It has many truths in it which can help you. Please consider signing up for our internet church. God bless you. Remember Heb. 3:14.

(Bible Comment) I have only listened to one of your messages, but from what I have heard, you are preaching the truth. I have been a christian for 13 years now, and after reading the king james version of the bible several times, I began to realize that the pastors at the churches that I was attending were preaching a false doctrine. Please pray for me, I have not been faithful to jesus. But I sincerely want to get right with the lord immediately and to stay faithful to him from now on. Very sincerely,

(Bible Answer) Greetings in Jesus' name. We are glad you found us. The message we preach has a long track record of bringing about repentance and a closer, more guarded walk with God. The majority of professing Bible believing Christians are not aware that they can die spiritually and get back on the road to hell again because of all the multitude of once saved always saved HERETICAL teachers in our day. Holiness is not optional to see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). Regarding faithfulness to God, a perfect passage on such is:

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev 2:10,11)

If you consider yourself similar to the Prodigal Son, then please repent and reverse your spiritually dead and lost condition. You will become "alive again" (Lk. 15:24), as he did.

It would be good for you to read this for new Christians. Please consider joining our internet church. God bless you. Heb. 3:14.

(Comment) Wow, lost you are. You know as a Mormon it is ironic that I was led to your sight....

(Bible Answer) I'm glad you found us and apparently looked over the material we have refuting Mormonism. If you will verify the documentation you will see that Mormonism is accurately represented there. Hence, you need to make some vital changes. For your own sake, please take that material to heart. Turn from your sins and place all 100% of your faith in the Lord Jesus, who shed his blood on the cross for your sins. Follow him faithfully to the end for eternal salvation. BTW, you stated I was "lost." What is the basis for your statement? Remember, Mt. 24:11.

(Comment) I am ________ from Australia. Finally I have found some sanity in the potent truth you have presented. I have always believed the truths you have presented and always refuted the foolish error of eternal security. I was saved off the streets by a miracle in 1974 when I was 19 and if I believed the error of eternal security you would not need a Bible just eat drink and be merry because all the rest is up to God. It is laughable how they try their escape clause saying if someone goes back into sin they were never a Christian. How well did the Apostle Peter understand the truth by warning Christians to make their calling and election sure. Basically if their doctrine were true then the Bible warnings are all ridiculous ranting, and Paul's warnings to the Galatians would only be ranting. Why would you need a warning from the Bible of any kind if your salvation was eternally secure. It would only become a story book and a tool for Evangelism. Why would pastors need to take heed to the flock and be concerned about grievous wolves if the Church was insured by the "Once Saved Always Saved Incorporated". Wolves then could do no harm, false prophets could try but not succeed. The list of things related to that poisonous error goes on and on. Well on that note I am certainly happy to be associated with you. Many thanks,

(Bible Answer) Greetings in Jesus' name. We are glad you found us! It is great to meet you and nice reading your observations. This is a worldwide problem with precious SOULS being adversely affected by that heresy. Your righteous hatred for the devil's masterpiece heresy is commendable. If I could, I would shake your hand on that! BTW, their never saved argument is selective and only used when they are cornered with the obvious, that is, their doctrine is a license for immorality. NOTE: They never say King David was never saved because he committed adultery and murder or Solomon because his heart turned to idolatry or Peter because he disowned Jesus or the Prodigal because he turned to wild living and being with the prostitutes! Just the opposite. They would argue that they all remained saved while in those heinous sins. They have a double message, deny what they believe and confuse the issue. It is very sad, but multitudes have been deceived by those godless people who change grace into a license for immorality (Jude 3,4). We have much material, including two books refuting that doctrine, to help people better understand this salvation related subject. God bless you. Heb. 3:14.

(Comment) Sir, I thank you for the great work that you are doing to contend for the Gospel. Your website has not only strengthened my faith but it has helped me to confirm many deadly deceptions about the Catholic Church that God has shown me in the spirit. Recently I tried to witness to my own brother about the deception of the Catholic Church [being myself a former Catholic] but he very angrily responded with an unreferenced document that supports most false Catholic doctrine, including worshiping statues of Mary and Jesus. I quote:

Statues - Isn't having statues of Jesus, Mary and the saints in violation of Exodus 20:4-5? This passage is in reference to pagan idols and graven images which the Israelites would have been prone to worship at the time. For if it were in reference to all graven images, God would not have commanded angelic cherubim of gold be put on the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:18-19). Nor would Moses have made a bronze serpent and mounted it on a pole (Numbers 21:8-9). In addition, the temple had several graven images decorating it (1 Kings 6:23-29; 7:25-45).

Please help me to comprehensively and Biblically respond to the above, since it makes reference to the Bible but my mind tells me it is a mere form of Catholic godliness and counterfeit. Thanks and God bless you and your Ministry for your great work of saving souls worldwide. Uganda

(Bible Answer) The missing piece of the puzzle regarding Catholic answers is revealed when one carefully reads Ex. 20:4,5:

You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Catholics violate that passage by bowing before graven images! For example, on Good Friday they bow before and kiss the feet of an image and think they are showing love for Jesus by doing so. Ex. 20:4,5 actually says they are showing hate by bowing before an image! Christians show their love for Jesus by obeying his commands (John 14:15), not kissing a statute of him! Furthermore, to kiss an image is a pagan practice (Hosea 13:2). Hence, their traditions are really idolatry in disguise. Besides, we really don't know what Jesus looked like! The pictures of Jesus we often see are often incorrect based on scriptures!

While it is true that images were in the holy of holies, etc. they never bowed before them or worshiped them! The bronze snake Moses made and erected on a pole (Num. 21:8,9) was a stumbling block years later when the Israelites burned incense to it:

He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.) (2 Ki 18:4)

Just because a Catholic gives an answer doesn't mean it is a Biblically sound answer. Christians are to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). The Catholic church is filled with idolatry and false doctrine, even including their plan of salvation. Glad to hear you are out of the Catholic church. That was an important move for you. Here is our main page for Catholics. for you to bookmark. Please read this for new Christians, even if you have been saved for some time. Consider signing up for our internet church. God bless you. Heb. 3:14.

(Comment) Hi: I just want to send a note to say I appreciate your book about the believer's conditional security. I believe that OSAS and other of Calvin's heresies have become a Shibboleth among modern evangelicals. Many equate Calvinism with Christianity and would lose their faith, if Calvinism were taken away. Consequently, they hold to such beliefs with a zealous, yet obstinate attitude. Many preachers do not allow any debate about the topic. Keep up the work. Blessings.

(Bible Answer) Thank you for the kind compliments. It is a great blessing to know you reject Calvinism. Thank you Lord. Calvinism has been a major spiritual snare and tool of the devil for centuries. They still control powerful platforms in our day, even search engines, to the harm of many. All 5 points are flawed, but none like the license for immorality of the fifth point- once saved always saved. People love to think they must go to heaven if ever once saved and many will ignore or distort Scripture to maintain that deadly illusion. They are not lovers of the truth and will regret their decisions for eternity, unless they change. The saddest part of it all, are the new Christians who get deceived by the slick popular teachers of our day. May God help you contend effectively for the faith and against the DANGEROUS grace changers of Jude 3,4. Remember, you are battling for eternity. Press on.

Bible Answers on Once Saved Always Saved

(Question) Hello. My name is ____________. I am really scared. The church I attend currently teaches once saved always saved. I personally agree with you. Should I leave my church? I am so scared that Im getting chest pains and stomach pains. I thought I was saved. Could it be that I am really not. I have done what Jesus said to do, ask him for forgiveness and put away gambling and pornography. Those were my main sins. I do not drink, smoke, or use drugs. I don't want to be the one who falls away! What do I do?

(Bible Answer) Greetings in Jesus' name. It is good you don't agree with what is taught in the eternal security church you attend. Just on that point alone, shouldn't you leave? (ANSWER: YES!) It is important for you not to help spread their anti-gospel or you will share in their sins (2 John 9-11). The real Christian gospel, as Paul preached is:

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. (1 Cor 15:2)

As clear as that is, join that passage to Gal. 1:8,9 which mentions another gospel and you have a knockout blow to their counterfeit version of grace.

A real Christian is a person who follows Jesus (John 10:27). In other words, he puts into practice the word of God (Lk. 8:21). The grace changers will try to convince you that Rom. 7:14-25 is the normal Christian life and Paul was the chief of sinners. As bad as that is, they call themselves sinners and will often deny a Christian is righteous! It is very sad as they have people thinking they must sin all the time, but it really doesn't matter since their salvation is forever secure, because they have been taught that way. May God help all Christians fight against such dangerous heresy. Surely, there must be many in hell now because of that type of teaching. Remember Heb. 3:14.

(Bible Question) Hi, I believe in the eternal security of the believer. I would like to know how this verse HEB 12:14 is dealing with a loss of salvation? I don´t want to engage in a debate but simply want to know more about the Arminian view´s. Looking forward to hearing from you.

(Bible Answer) The Christian view of Heb. 12:14 is similar to Mt. 5:8. They both show it takes heart purity (holiness) to see God. It is not the best refutation to once saved always saved, but could be used since your belief system unscripturally says there are two types of drunks, two types of adulterers, two types of liars, two types of greedy people, etc.–one being saved because of a past moment of regeneration and the other one lost.

If you are open to the message of the Bible and not just trying to make it teach something sinful ears want to hear, then please examine these Bible questions. The real plan of salvation has a conditional security all over it.

We are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8,9) but we can fall from grace (Gal. 5:2-4). We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1) but our faith can become shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19,20) and cease to exist (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23). We are not under the law (Rom. 6:14, 15) but if you live according to the sinful nature you will die (Rom. 8:13). Paul taught against legalism (Gal. 5:3,4) but he also taught that no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God (Eph. 5:5-7). We are not saved by works (Eph. 2:8,9) but to reap eternal life and not destruction you must sow to please the Spirit and not the sinful nature (Gal. 6:8,9). God is faithful to us (1 Jn. 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13) but we must be faithful to him to the very end of our lives to escape the lake of fire or second death (Rev. 2:10,11). God surely loves us (Jn. 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39) but those who inherit the kingdom of God love God (Jam 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:9) and to love God means to obey his commands (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3). We have freedom in Christ (Gal. 5:1) but this freedom is not to indulge the sinful nature (Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet 2:16).

(Comment From Same Person) ...I strongly believe that believer can fall in sins , and remain carnal for many years and still be saved. ALL SINS equal or not merit a condemnation, but grace to God Jesus died at our place, otherwise all Christian who fall into adultery will go to hell, this is absolutely nonsense. We sins everyday! Can you say that if your father gave his life to Jesus at the end of his life , he was not saved , because he did not produce works like the Lordship view affirm? "If" is only a way to ask ourselves whether we are in Faith or not. According to you what is the strongest verses speaking of loss of salvation?

_______________

(Bible Answer #2) You are just interested in sharing what you believe rather than what the Bible states. You are not open to the truth. Your beliefs are NOT Biblical. You were already given answers and pointed to sources which can help you, yet you refuse to examine and receive the truth for the sake of your own SOUL. Why ask anything? It's not going to help you. You seemingly will continue to cleave to the very doctrine which leads to sin and damnation to your own shame and regret in eternity.

Just because you sin every day doesn't mean everyone sins every day like you! Just because you are a slave to sin, doesn't mean everyone is a slave to sin like you. Real Christians do exist:

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. (Rom 6:22)

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil.... (1 John 3:7,8)

Just because you refuse to allow the Scriptures to shape your beliefs, doesn't mean everyone refuses like you! Some do realize they were misled and they change. Such repent of their sins at that time, but while embracing osash (once saved always saved HERESY) they remain in their sins unaware they are on the road to hell.

ALL sins are not the same. There is sin that leads to death and sin which doesn't, or the Bible is a lie (1 John. 5:16,17). ALL adulterers, with no exception, are on the road to hell (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Eph. 5:5-7). It is where a person is at the END of his life, which determines if he goes to heaven or hell. “IF” is a conditional word and often used in conjunction with salvation (1 Cor. 15:2; Heb. 3:14; etc.). There are MANY verses and sets of verses which demolish osash. Again, work through these Bible questions and you will see what I mean. That this message to heart!

(Comment) I was intrigued by your trashing the "once-saved-always-saved" kingpins like James White, Matt Slick and Dave Hunt. I thought you were a sensible protestant who was correcting these Calvinist (Hunt is a one point Calvinist ) and enjoyed your _____videos.

I just saw your attack on Mary, Scapular, Catholicism, etc. At first I thought you were just another misquided non-Catholic and planned to send you some material to set you straight. You can imagine my disappointment when I saw you were once a member of the Church founded by Christ but opted to buy into protestant heresy. Now all of your stuff seems insipid.

Just another "Bible-Only" person putting out opinions of men now, arent you Dan? A person who was Baptized, Confirmed and catechized and then rejects the truth is in danger of damnation. Get to Confession, do penance, get your scapular back on and amend your life.

(Bible Answer) I have a question for you. Since the Catholic church accepts both the Bible and what they call Sacred Tradition, what do you do with the fact that they contradict each other MANY times? Since truth never contradicts truth, at least one of the Catholic standards must be wrong and it definitely isn't the Bible! An example of that is the Rosary, which is repetitious prayer mostly to Mary. Jesus taught that Christians are NOT to pray repetitiously like the pagans do for they think they will be answered by their many words (Mat 6:6-8). So is the Rosary wrong or is Jesus wrong? Also, what do you do with the extreme idolatrous exaltation of Mary by Catholicism? For a Catholic the question is often, Is it Jesus or Mary who does salvation related things now? What a spiritual snare the fabricated Catholic Mary is!

Forget the protestant label. The BIBLE is God's word -- the real truth. It is final authority for the Christian (2 Tim. 3:16,17). How can you bad mouth the Bible yet claim to have truth, which is so different, even antithetical? May God help you shake off the many religious traditions and pagan practices you embrace as precious and see them as God does (idolatrous, deceptive and DANGEROUS) before it is too late. Your SOUL is in the danger of hell because you do not have the salvation Scripture speaks of. For your own SOUL'S sake, read the New Testament for yourself, burn your brown scapular, smash the statues of Mary you have been bowing before and kissing, and change accordingly. [True Christian beliefs excludes such!] Eternity is a long time.
