To Be Blameless?

Many think it is impossible to be blameless. Perhaps you are of that number. If so, please consider the evidence and even more important make the needed changes in your life.

This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. (Gen 6:9)

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.” (Gen 17:1)

You must be blameless before the LORD your God. (Deu 18:13)

I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin. (2 Sam 22:24)

To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, (2 Sam 22:26)

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. (Job 1:1)

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” (Job 1:8)

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.” (Job 2:3)

Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope? (Job 4:6)

Surely God does not reject a blameless man or strengthen the hands of evildoers. (Job 8:20)

Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, it would pronounce me guilty. (Job 9:20)

Although I am blameless, I have no concern for myself; I despise my own life. (Job 9:21)

I have become a laughingstock to my friends, though I called upon God and he answered—a mere laughingstock, though righteous and blameless! (Job 12:4)

let God weigh me in honest scales and he will know that I am blameless (Job 31:6)

He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart (Psa 15:2)

I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin. (Psa 18:23)

To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, (Psa 18:25)

Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. (Psa 19:13)

Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. (Psa 26:1)

But I lead a blameless life; redeem me and be merciful to me. (Psa 26:11)

The days of the blameless are known to the LORD, and their inheritance will endure forever. (Psa 37:18)

Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace. (Psa 37:37)

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. (Psa 84:11)

I will be careful to lead a blameless life—when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. (Psa 101:2)

My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. (Psa 101:6)

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. (Psa 119:1)

May my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be put to shame. (Psa 119:80)

He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, (Prov 2:7)

For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; (Prov 2:21)

The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness. (Prov 11:5)

The LORD detests men of perverse heart but he delights in those whose ways are blameless. (Prov 11:20)

Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse. (Prov 19:1)

The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him. (Prov 20:7)

Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse. (Prov 28:6)

He who leads the upright along an evil path will fall into his own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance. (Prov 28:10)

He whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but he whose ways are perverse will suddenly fall. (Prov 28:18)

You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. (Ezek 28:15)

He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 1:8)

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. (Eph 1:4)

and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (Eph 5:27)

so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, (Phil 1:10)

so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe (Phil 2:15)

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. (1 Th 2:10)

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. (1 Th 3:13)

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Th 5:23)

An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. (Titus 1:6)

Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. (Titus 1:7)

Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (Heb 7:26)

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. (2 Pet 3:14)

No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. (Rev 14:5)
