"That brings me back to the book by Dan Corner you are now
holding. When I received the manuscript I was immediately
impressed with the amount of research that went into it, over seven
hundred pages and over six hundred footnotes! The writing is based
on extensive study combined with a thorough review of the
arguments set forth by popular teachers of unconditional security. The reasoning herein is presented very powerfully and with
great passion, but to hear Dan Corner in a debate is to hear a calm,
rational, and most importantly, scriptural presentation of an issue
that easily lends itself to pure emotionalism. To those committed to
unconditional security, I challenge you to read this book with an
open mind, and take another look at the scriptural passages
referenced. At the very least, you will gain the integrity of having
fairly examined the issue from both sides. But I think you will gain
much more than that; you will find a cogent view that validates the
truthfulness of scripture. So I hope you will not just page through
this book quickly and lay it aside. Study the analyses you find in
these pages. Your reward will be a thorough understanding of the
believer's security, an understanding that is crucial if we are to take
II Timothy 2:15 seriously, and 'correctly handle the word of
truth.' "
--Dr. Chris Jakway
"This book, The Believer's Conditional Security ... is a must for every pastor's library. It should be referred to often as a resource for truth concerning this subject of 'once saved always saved.'"
--Pastor L. D. Savage, D.D.
"The Believer's Conditional Security is a strong presentation of the case against the popular, but deadly, 'Once saved, Always saved' doctrine. Daniel Corner ferrets out every argument that OSAS proponents use, and answers those arguments. He uncovers the darker side of Calvin, includes copies of letters he (Corner) has written to the principal propagators of Calvinism today, destroys every supposed refuge by scripture. There is a section on 'contradictions,' references to the Greek tenses, and hundreds of scripture references. Corner is polemic, direct, yet charitable; he allows no quarter and no secrets, but is gracious. He simply asks that those who believe the OSAS teaching be honest enough to read his treatise and then to make a scripturally-based decision. The Believer's Conditional Security is a treasure of information [for] those who want to know what well-known ministry personalities are saying, what the Bible says, and how that should affect our belief system. For those of the Arminian persuasion, this book is a must; it ought to find its way into the homes of Sunday School teachers, preachers, and interested laymen. If not a principal text, it should, at least, be collateral reading for our Bible School ministerial students."
--Leonard Sankey, General Secretary, InterChurch Holiness Convention
"... Last June we retired from the ministry at the age of 75. Everywhere we went to minister we ran into this false doctrine and it was very hard to combat because people were convinced by a minister that they were safe in their sin. Your book The Believer's Conditional Security is very accurate and detailed. The book was written with Biblical accuracy and is documented with scripture throughout. I was amazed at the thorough research that went into the production of the book. It should be required reading in Christian colleges to alert young men what they are facing in the ministry today."
-- Pastor Lyle L. Langdon
"Daniel Corner has drawn together in The Believer's Conditional Security a
wealth of historical and contemporary resource material on the subject of
perseverance and conditional security. With solid biblical interpretation
and well-reasoned logic, he refutes the erroneous teachings of current
leaders who teach extreme eternal security. He also notes the destructive
results of a teaching that has produced a lessening of personal commitment
to righteous living."
--Zenas Bicket, President, Berean University
"Scholarly, exciting, startling, refreshing" are the words which best
describe Dan Corner's new book The Believer's Conditional Security. I believe God has raised up Dan to fearlessly challenge the antinomian Goliaths of our day."
--Pastor Robert L. Brush, Retired Pastor, Author
"It has been a blessing to get somewhat acquainted with you and with your excellent book, The Believer's Conditional Security. I am sure we will continue to make your book available. It is an important work in this day of terrible doctrinal compromise. May many read it and be converted to Biblical truth."
--Pastor David J. Beam
"The Believer's Conditional Security is a vital book with a Scripturally-based, plainly written message solidly refuting and exposing the evil deceptions of falsehoods that are currently invading evangelicalism -- a must read for those who would earnestly contend for the true faith of salvation from sin with conditional security."
--Wesley H. Wakefield, Bishop-General, The Bible Holiness Movement, Canada
"... my formal training was extended beyond study in the field of education and encompassed major studies in Bible, New Testament Greek, theology and church history. I have been active as a lay leader and instructor of adult Bible classes for some thirty-eight years ... Some of my time has been spent lecturing on campuses in this area ... I have been forced a number of times to confront head on the erroneous teaching of unconditional security. My library contains a number of sources that direct one to a correct biblical view of the believer's security. However, I have never before found a treatment of this vital issue so thoroughly and comprehensively covered as that found in The Believer's Conditional Security. The author is to be commended for the extensive research and scholarly treatment of this issue. Such a volume promises not only to be a means of enlightening deceived and unwary souls but should also serve as a valuable reference tool for pastors, Bible teachers and Christian counselors."
--Joseph D. McPherson
"Your book is unsurpassed in facts. Thanks for doing a great service for many of us who do not have the time to research many of these areas. God bless you and your work!"
--Pastor C. M. Brown
"Your excellent book is well researched and timely in its appearance, and Scripturally challenging in its refutation of once saved always saved. In these days of religious confusion, this book needs to be read and carefully studied."
--William Thompson, Northern Ireland
"I just finished your 700 page new book, The Believer's Conditional
Security. I think I disagree with 1% of it -- nothing of consequence to the point of the message. I cannot refute this book. It is the most devastating book against ‘Sin' I have read, other than the Bible. I cannot think of any message that the church needs more, especially at this time. The study of this book shows clearly the inconsistencies of Calvinism in an honest, Biblical way. Most of all, I could tell God was speaking to me -- and will again in the pages of this book."
--Tom Adcock
"Dan Corner has blessed the Body of Christ with this extremely well researched book. He gives more scripture than the majority of the theological works in existence today. If you are a OSAS believer, read this book with an open bible and if you still believe in OSAS, then you just do not believe the Word of God. If you are a non-believer in OSAS, take good notes and you will be prepared at all times to contend for the faith. Keep this one on the shelf with your topical, concordance and dictionary. This is not vain babbling but a work from a true God ordained teacher."
--Rosa Allen, True2Plumb Ministries
"Corner has skillfully exposed a Golden Calf that had gone mainly un-noticed in the churches for almost 500 years, i.e., believing and teaching what the Reformers wrote, instead of what is written in the Bible. That was the fatal error of the Jews in Jesus' time, preferring oral tradition and Talmud over Torah. OSAS is a comforting idol, indeed, but a Holy God cannot but consider such OSAS a lie from the pit of Hell."
--James Elsman, JD, Lawyer and Evangelist
"I would highly recommend to all those who have an interest to study conditional or unconditional security to read Dan Corner's new book, The Believer's Conditional Security." I have been preaching on the streets for 12 years. I believe now, more than any other time in history, the church and the world are deceived into believing an easy believism. We must go forth and proclaim Jesus in all His holiness and Lordship. Dan is going forth and helping those who are deceived by the lies of this age to see the deception of eternal security and predestination. May God bless your labor of love to the church and the world by writing this new book."
--David Martinez, Evangelist
"I think this has to be one of the finest writings on the subject of once
saved always saved that I have ever read. I can't seem to put it down,
the information about the founders of this teaching has boggled my mind.
I see why they would want people to believe this way, because I wonder
out loud if some of them were even saved. This fine book will put a lot of
questions to rest, if someone will take the time to read it. God Bless
You for this excellent rebuttal of a teaching that has many good people
confused."
--Jimmy Sanders, Evangelist
"Dan Corner's book is the most comprehensive study of the eternal security debate I have read. Any serious student of the Bible who earnestly desires to contend for the TRUE faith once delivered to the saints will find that studying to show himself approved of God he will not be ashamed of his time spent here and will find a ready answer of the hope that is in him with sound doctrine for correction and training in righteousness which cannot be condemned since the Bible is here left to speak for itself. A must read for reproving the modern liberal, calvinistic doctrine of demons which is presently damning millions of souls who heap up these teachers having itching ears. This exhaustive compilation uses their own quotes to refute themselves and is the result of many years study and documentation. Our prayer is that God will use this book mightily to persuade them that live in error to come to repentance and give glory to the Lamb which was slain through the new birth."
--Tim Osborne
The Believer's Conditional Security is one of the books in our library and towers above the rest in giving a comprehensive and well balanced view of this issue. Dan Corner writes with a passion for souls and a deep conviction that makes the book compelling reading. The thorough research and countless Scripture citations will concern any honest hearted reader who is searching for the truth about the security of their salvation.
--D. Carrico
I have been interested in the topic of the believers security since I
believed in the Lord back in the early 70s. At one time I embraced this view!
The problem I had was what to do with all the warning passages. If I
integrate all the warnings with all the promises and apply the same plain
method of interpretation, I arrive at a conditional security position. Dan's
book is great for presenting the entire topic, warnings and promises. He also
deals with the history of this doctrine thoroughly and discusses what the
early church believed prior to its inception with Augustin. Many WEB sites
that hold to OSAS only present a laundry list of the promise passages but
they are unbalanced because they do not deal with the warning passages. Or
they will apply an exegetical approach to the promises and eisegetical
approach to the warnings in order to rescue their beliefs from what the Bible
actually teaches. The differences in Dan's approach and the OSAS crowd is
that Dan builds a Biblical theology while the OSAS adherents use select
portions of the Bible to support their preconceived dogma. All interested in
this topic should take advantage of the thorough, balanced approach presented
in Dan's book.
