(EMAIL) Pray that you are well. Just heard the audio of your Halloween radio talk show. Truly shocked that professed Christians are so blinded by deceiving spirits! Halloween is blatantly evil! Not only they failed to see it, they even defended it.

Hosea 4:6 - my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

Could also sense the spirit of nationalistic pride and that is why they attacked you.

Christians are supposed to be without borders or nationalistic nuances.

Believe or not, I removed various curse words and a blasphemy from the Halloween radio interview. That was done on a secular station in a heavy Catholic country. I had quite a door opened for me there. It was great even though it was very different. (Thank you Lord for the chance to get the gospel out in Ireland.)

There is no doubt our country and world are in serious trouble. We are being tested and this will continue. May we prove to be faithful to the Lord.

Nine of the 10 Commandments were reinstated in the NT, but NOT the Saturday Sabbath command as given to Israel. Please note that even the so-called Saturday Sabbath keepers are NOT really keeping that command as given to Israel. They only have a modified command which is no command at all. Also, such people seem to be TRUSTING in keeping the Saturday Sabbath command and NOT JESUS.

Please note the context of Mt. 16:28:

“I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” (Mat 16:28) After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. (Mat 17:1) There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. (Mat 17:2) Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. (Mat 17:3) Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (Mat 17:4) While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” (Mat 17:5)

The context shows Jesus was taking about what would occur 6 days later at the Mt. of Transfiguration.

Jesus said, speaking about His sheep, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall (never perish), neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand .” John 10:28

Friends, why will the sheep never perish ? Because their salvation in not in their own keeping! Their salvation is in Christ keeping!

John Newton told of a dream he had, there were three men on a ship . One had a very valuable ring . The man with the ring was told by one of the other two, that the ring was really not all that valuable . And he kept talking till the man with the ring just threw the ring over board in the ocean ! And at once the third man jumped immediately into the water and got the ring from the ocean! That third man was Jesus Christ . He told the man that threw the ring over board, that He was now going to keep the ring for him ! That left to himself, satan would be able to talk him out of his salvation ! But now that the salvation of God’s people is in Christ keeping, no one would be able to pluck them out of God’s hand! Friend, I can’t lose something that is not in my own keeping to lose !

You have referred to the following passage, so let’s take a close look at it:

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME. John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Please note that the ones that will “never perish” or get “snatched” from God’s hand, according to Jesus’ teaching, are only the ones that FOLLOW HIM. Also, the Greek tense of the word “follow” in v. 27 is a CONTINUOUS TENSE. Hence, this verse does NOT allow for one to stray into wickedness and maintain their salvation as it has been misued to teach. Please remember this.

Dreams are NOT authoritative. Christians are to go by the Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16,17).

We believe that we are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8,9) but we can fall from grace (Gal. 5:2-4). We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1) but our faith can become shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19,20) and cease to exist (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23). We are not under the law (Rom. 6:14,15) but if you live according to the sinful nature you will die (Rom. 8:13). Paul taught against legalism (Gal. 5:3,4) but he also taught that no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God (Eph. 5:5-7). We are not saved by works (Eph. 2:8,9) but to reap eternal life and not destruction you must sow to please the Spirit and not the sinful nature (Gal. 6:8,9). God is faithful to us (1 Jn. 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13) but we must be faithful to him to the very end of our lives to escape the lake of fire or second death (Rev. 2:10,11). God surely loves us (Jn. 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39) but those who inherit the kingdom of God love God (Jam 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:9) and to love God means to obey his commands (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3). We have freedom in Christ (Gal. 5:1) but this freedom is not to indulge the sinful nature (Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet 2:16).

Bercot has gotten a lot of people to read the ante-Nicean “fathers” to learn doctrine, which is a SERIOUS ERROR! Bercot presents the picture that those people were sound, consistent and dependable. The truth is they often embraced HERESY and were contradicted by other so-called “fathers” and especially the Bible. For example, some of the ante-Nicene “fathers” taught Universalism and others didn’t. That alone should help one see their teachings were NOT always sound as in the Bible. Bercot is actually spreading those teachings because of the way he exalts those men. That is NOT good.
