(EMAIL) I see you feel very strongly about whether or not someone can lose their salvation. I don't wish to debate the issue with you (although I disagree with your conclusions). I'm wondering, however, if you could give me scripture for the idea that you can be "saved again"? Your statement:

"The Biblical answer is YES. David did lose his salvation. (Afterwards he got saved again.)"

I have heard other people say things like this and I can find no scripture to support the idea of people going in and out of "eternal life". It seems to me that either you are right about being able to lose it, or I am correct that you cannot- but the idea of receiving eternal life, losing it, getting it again, is not something that scripture teaches.

This is an issue of "regeneration". I find nothing in scripture to support the notion that we

can be spiritually born, then spiritually die, and be spiritually born again and die again, over and over. I would be interested to know why you believe what you do concerning this. Thanks,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Drop all preconceived ideas about what you think the Bible says and ponder these grace Scriptures:

For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. (Luke 15:24)

You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. (Rom 11:19-23)

My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19,20, NASB)

Don’t be confused by the grace changers who make rhetorical statements like, “You can’t be born again, again.” The truth is a righteous person can die spiritually when he turns to evil. That fact is basic and taught from Genesis to Revelation.

There is no eternal security or once saved always saved. The truth is: That teaching is not Biblical and therefore non Christian. It has been a snare to multitudes and without a doubt millions are in the fires of hell at this moment because of the false doctrine of eternal security. The real gospel is connected with a conditional security for the believer (1 Cor. 15:2). Hence, it is most serious to teach any other version of grace. This is a salvation-related issue. (EMAIL #1) Hi there. My name is _____ and I’m staying in a ________ village in ______________, South Africa. My next-door neighbour is an old lady of 82. According to her daughter, she grew up in a house where there was no Christianity but only involvement with ouija boards and such.

This old person told her daughter how that they, as children stood together holding onto the youngest and smallest of them but could never prevent an unseen force pulling the little sister up and holding her against the ceiling (to give you but one example). My neighbour’s children also experienced demonic occurences in the house when they were still children, with the result that they left home as soon as they could.

After becoming married, my neighbour joined the Dutch Reformed Church, (one of the South African Calvinist churches). However, I am fairly certain that she never repented of that sin of involvement with the occult for the simple fact that she did not know it is wrong.

I spoke to her daughter, who is living near to us about this and asked that she get the older children together to come and talk to their mother about the wrongness of these things but I got the impression that they are not that much conscious of the dangers as such. They will come but only in October, which for me is too far away. Anything could happen from now to then – suppose the old lady die. What then? It will not stop when she dies but continue through her children.

I normally go and visit her for about an hour in the early evenings, from about 18h30 to 19h30 and I’ve come to realize that she is really very much afraid when it becomes dark. She does not want to go to her bedroom and always want to have someone with her, especially in the evenings.

Apart from praying for her, doing spiritual warfare and asking for God’s protection every night, I don’t know what else to do. All I know is that she will not acknowledge to me that she had bveen busy with these things. Its possible that she still have that board in her house!

Please, can you advise me? Best wishes,

(RESPONSE #1) Greetings in Jesus’ name. ANY and ALL involvement in the occult is BAD NEWS. Though it may seem innocent the Ouija board (Harry Potter; etc.) are dangerous spiritual snares. It is a blessing to read your email for it seems you already know about the Ouija board being dangerous.

The elderly woman in question needs to specifically close the door to her occult involvement, which she opened by the Ouija board and maybe other things you don’t know about! When one even dabbles in that form of abomination, he starts to see and experience weird things, which probably explains her fear in the bedroom and in the dark hours.

Pointedly ask her if she has specifically confessed and renounced her sin of occult involvement? If she has the board now she needs to burn it, which will prove her repentance.

That woman also needs to leave the Reformed church since they teach Calvinism. That is NOT a good environment to be in since such “pastors” have a distorted view of grace, sin, salvation, etc. Tell that woman to seriously seek God by reading the New Testament and changing accordingly. (That is good advise for everyone!) Eternity is a looooong time and one’s SOUL is too valuable to play games with!

May God help you as you try to help others. Please consider signing up for our email, text, audio and video teachings, updates, etc. If interested, you can do that here http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/contact.htm

God bless you. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL #2) Good morning! Thx for your answer. The problem with this old lady is that, as with most of the Afrikaner older generation they refuse to acknowledge their wrongs. They go, “How dare you…!”

According to her daughter, to whom I spoke again yesterday, she has a dresser in her bedroom, which she bought from another old lady who definitely was mixed up with spiritism, magic, shamans etc. and who did not want to know anything about Jesus Christ. We think that ouma’s fear at night stems from this dresser and I personally think all the time up to now that I started to make the children attend on these dangers, the evil spirits came awake and are manifesting. I truly think, the first time the old lady, maybe as a child, dabbled in these things, she had opened herself to demonic possession. When I talk to her in general I can see different “personalities”manifesting, which corresponds with the kind of spirit the Lord has shown me, is controlling her.

We have decided to ask someone who also live in our village and who has a video ministry going among these old people, to try and get a video which shows the dangers of these things and which tells of the absolute need of repentance. Maybe then she will listen and act.

The daughter gave her a book of daily readings, which contain an entire week’s inscriptions with Scripture references, about these things and the transference of these dangers from a mother to her children as a kind of generational curse.

Please pray for her and her children? I come out of such an environment and although I cannot remember much about it and have found Jesus Christ very early in mny life, I understand almost too well the dangers of these things and their manifestations.

      God bless you!

(RESPONSE #2) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Have her read directly from the Bible, out loud to you and or the daughter, Deut. 18:10-12 & Rev. 21:8. That should help her see the extent of her occult wickedness before God.

That bedroom dresser needs to go! Have it burned and replace it with another one.

The Bible teaches a Christian can cast out a demon! She needs to call out to the Lord Jesus for help, salvation and deliverance with a humble, [repentant] and sincere heart.

Pass this email and the last one on to her daught. Thanks. Remember Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) Are you familiar with Mary K. Baxter's Divine Revelation of Hell???? My question regards a critic of her book and that they said salvation can never be lost; this is what is said:

A Christian may walk into sin, but salvation can never be lost, which is

clearly evidenced by 1st Corinthians 3:15 and 5:5. Jesus warned us in

Matthew 7:15 of wolves who would come to us in sheep's clothing. Mary K.

Baxter is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Now, My thinking is if a person sins and does not repent or remains in sin (back

slidden) where is this person's salvation???? Thanks

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Yes, we are familiar with her book. However, her portrayal of hell is not always consistent with the Bible.

The critic of her book is certainly WRONG about salvation never being lost. There is nothing in 1 Cor. 3:15; 5:5 or any other Scripture which teaches once saved always saved. Please read the following for details http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/1cor55.htm and http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/saved_through_fire.htm

We believe that we are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8,9) but we can fall from grace (Gal. 5:2-4). We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1) but our faith can become shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19,20) and cease to exist (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23). We are not under the law (Rom. 6:14,15) but if you live according to the sinful nature you will die (Rom. 8:13). Paul taught against legalism (Gal. 5:3,4) but he also taught that no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God (Eph. 5:5-7). We are not saved by works (Eph. 2:8,9) but to reap eternal life and not destruction you must sow to please the Spirit and not the sinful nature (Gal. 6:8,9). God is faithful to us (1 Jn. 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13) but we must be faithful to him to the very end of our lives to escape the lake of fire or second death (Rev. 2:10,11). God surely loves us (Jn. 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39) but those who inherit the kingdom of God love God (Jam 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:9) and to love God means to obey his commands (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3). We have freedom in Christ (Gal. 5:1) but this freedom is not to indulge the sinful nature (Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet 2:16).

(EMAIL #1) As a family, we have been attending a '_____Baptist' church in _________, Germany for the past 2+ years. My husband's parents are non-believers, but I grew up in a Penticostal church and my husband started attending church with me and gave his heart to the Lord in 2007. Then we moved to Germany in 2008 and started looking for a suitable church. We came upon this Baptist church with an Afrikaans pastor (I am also Afrikaans, from South Africa. My husband is German) and loved them straight away.

We had no idea what doctorine they followed as I had no idea such doctorines existed and was furthest from my mind - I was a little naive. They believed in baptising grown-ups and therefore I assumed that we believed the same thing (gospel). I had several questions and got answers regarding salvation etc., but always told my husband that the Holy Spirit warns me and that I somehow cannot fully except this teaching. I didn't really want to attend at this church, but for my husbands (penticost praise and worship and sermons were too loud in his opinion) sake went there, but never felt 'at home'. I always maintained that i will never be a Baptist and that it was too dead as they did not practice the spiritual gifts, etc. Later on it came to light that they are Calvinists. Then it started getting serious. The situation escalated to such a degree that I refused to attend church anymore (about 4 weeks now) as it feels to me like I am getting forced to decide what doctorine I will accept and that I am caught up in something I don't want to be in.

I am now in such a debate that I don't know how to get out of it. I get accused of not wanting to know the truth, not knowing scripture, that my family (mom) doesn't know scripture well enough to help me (my mom is 71 and grew up in a God-fearing home where both parents evangelised among people of colour in SA for many years and mom worked for the Lord until this very day, playing the Organ in church, etc.), that I must make very sure that I follow the right doctorine and be careful in deciding for the Armenian doctorin and not lending my ears out to the enemy proclaiming this doctorin, that i blaspheme against Godly men like John Calvyn by saying that he was a murderer (as history states - having had people killed if they didn't accept his teaching), etc.

It is like psychology being excersized on me and it makes me more and more uncomfortable. I have now written a letter to our pastor stating that I withdraw from church on severel grounds stated and that I want nothing to do with any doctorine, regardless Armenian or Calvanist, but only the Gospel. I am so afraid and don't know where to go and what church to attend anymore. I feel alone and utterly hurt and disappointed. It is terrible and now I understand why so many people do not want to attend a church anymore.

Please help me in my decision. What is right and what is wrong? Are all believes based on either Armeniasm or Calvinism as they claim and if so, which one is right? Aren't these philosophies exactly what the bible warns us about?

I hope you can help me and look forward to a positive answer in Christ Jesus. Kind regards

(RESPONSE #1) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Sorry for the distress and problems, but you are not alone! Many Christians get attacked by various dangerous false doctrines. Calvinism is only one, but it is certainly a raging issue, with the last point—once saved always saved—being the biggest issue.

Everything I have observed, even in the secular world has opposite views on almost each issue (or doctrine). Hence, until you go to the Bible directly and let that message control your life and doctrinal beliefs you will be tossed back and forth. To get established you must learn the Biblical message by quality time directly in the Scriptures.

If one is a 5 point Calvinist, his (false) god has predestined some to heaven and most to hell with NO CHOICE on man’s part! The savior in Calvinism did NOT die for all people, but only for those who will go to heaven. The Christian in Calvinism can commit adultery and murder (like David), idolatry (like Solomon) and disown Jesus (like Peter) and not die spiritually! Hence, since these are all major serious errors, NO PERSON SHOULD BE A CALVINIST! ALL 5 points are demonic with the fifth point being the most deadly.

John Calvin got his teachings from the Catholic theologian Augustine of Hippo, who wanted salvation but not without Mary. Calvin mercilessly burned Michael Servetus at the stake with green wood because of doctrinal differences (much like the Catholic church murdered non Catholics)! Calvin was a heretic, but because we are suffering under the influence of Calvinism he is exalted and described as a brilliant theologian and link from the apostle Paul to the present! Few seem to be aware of the damage he has done to multitudes and the theology he has left behind.

We believe that we are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8,9) but we can fall from grace (Gal. 5:2-4). We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1) but our faith can become shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19,20) and cease to exist (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23). (EMAIL #2) How I love your subject! Thank you very much for this insight. It just confirmed what I already believe. I have hope now and thank the Lord for people standing up for the truth like yourselves. Continue this good work in the Lord as there are many people like myself being under the attack. I believe that the message of the gospel has been made simple for all (even little children like Jesus said) to understand. God is holy and therefore we have to live holy lives and do His will. I am not a major intellectual and certainly do not want to study any man-made doctorine. I just want to read the Word and let Jesus be in control of my life and no man. Thank your for your invitation. We will certainly visit your on-line church. God bless,

(RESPONSE #2) Thanks for the encouraging words and may God help you help people in your part of the world. SOULS continue to perish. There are many enemies of grace, even some who reject once saved always saved. Hence, even though one may claim to teach holiness and flatly reject once saved always saved, he still may be teaching a license for immorality! Ask about David when in adultery and murder. If ANY person says he was still saved after his adultery and murder, that person is spreading the DEVIL’S POISON and will hurt SOULS, and maybe even in a greater way than if he taught David remained saved and also openly embraced once saved always saved. Check this out http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/acid_test.htm

(EMAIL) Thank you for this as I was searching how to forgive, when I knew I had to and not only that I wanted to, but didn’t see how. Thank you, so much for once again opening my mind and seeing his grace. I was lost without him and have been here for some days, but pray and ask all that I can and plan to keep my eyes on him and not me. I love you, In Jesus,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. THANK YOU for the gracious words. It is always good to know we have helped someone. Unlike what many have been taught, forgiving others is vital:

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Mat 6:14,15)

Because a Christian has been shown great mercy when forgiven at the point of salvation, he likewise must forgive others (Mt. 18:22-35). Unforgiveness is a common and subtle satanic temptation designed to destroy a Christian. We must remain guarded.

Have you signed up for the internet church? GOD BLESS YOU. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) Hello, I am seeking information about how to specifically witness to Jehovah's Witnesses. I have allowed myself to be pursued for the last year by a woman who visits regularly and brings me her tracts. She gave my children Bibles at Christmas and we discreetly disposed of them after finding some theological differences that, though subtle, we were not wanting to affect the way our children think about Christ and salvation.

Anyway, I want to witness to her--I know that she is working herself to the bone, hoping to make it into heaven. She leads 12 Bible studies every week and drives around witnessing every day accept for one day of rest. I feel unequipped because I'm only vaguely aware of the difference between her and myself and want to be well prepared when I broach some of the more hairy topics. Do you have any printed material that I could study to prepare myself to bring up some more difficult questions? I would welcome in depth discussions. Thank you ! In Christ,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. It is very commendable that you want to win that JW woman to the Lord and may the Lord enable that to occur. However, for someone who is as you describe yourself to be, such a wonderful goal is almost unattainable. WHY? Because the JWs practice in the Kingdom Halls how to deal with people like you! They are “brainwashed” to refuse literature which may come from any non-JW source and if any Biblical uncertainty arises they are also taught to go to their elder/s to seek an answer. The answers supplied from the JW elders, though unscriptural, will be enough for the door knocking person to think you were answered and there is nothing wrong with their own teachings! The spiritual blindness is thick with them!

There is still hope, though! If you are ready to do battle, do this: Ask the JW if she has gone to Jesus “for life.” That should render her speechless! The vast majority of JW I have talked to have very little or no idea how to answer that or other issues related to SALVATION. (They are trained to bring up and attack the trinity and deity of Christ.) Stick to the subject of SALVATION. (You might have to be forceful!)

That question is based on this Scripture:

You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. (John 5:39,40)

That describes them perfectly since they think taking in accurate knowledge is how to get eternal life (and the only source to get accurate knowledge from is the Watchtower Society)!

So they do not teach to go directly to Jesus FOR LIFE, because they were taught life comes a different way! Then show them this:

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)

Again, their doctrine does NOT allow them to ask Jesus (pray to Jesus) for living water! John 4:10 says why people don’t!!!! If the JW woman brings up Mt. 10:22 agree:

All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Agree that there is no eternal security or once saved always saved, but that doesn’t mean the Watchtower has the true plan of salvation. If she says who does then? Answer her with Jesus does and his message in John 4:10 and 5:39,40 is rejected and refused by you!

Hopefully, that will help that woman to start to think outside the way she has been brainwashed to think.

Here is the link to MANY teachings we have for JWs, which may help http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/jehovah.htm
