(EMAIL) Hi. I read your article about Yeshua vs. Jesus as the Messiah’s name. It’s all very interesting indeed. I do have one question, was Jesus a Hebrew (Jewish)? If yes, then wouldn’t he have had a Hebrew name? I’m kind of confused about the whole thing and look forward to your answer.
Thanks!!
(RESPONSE) Your one question is irrelevant. We must go by the Scriptures and not depart from them (2 Tim. 3:16, 17). When we do that we learn that over 900 times the Holy Spirit cited Messiah’s name in the Greek Scriptures as “JESUS” when transliterated into English.
GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) I’ve been studying the scriptures, & before I knew about your ministry, I just couldn’t believe the OSAS view point. Last Sunday, the pastor (Independent Baptist Church) was going over their Articles of Faith & how you had to accept them in order to become a member. He spent over an hour on the OSAS stand. I left disgusted, what was distressing was that he said if you don’t believe that way i.e. OSAS that “you were wrong.” I’ve been perplexed regarding Judas ... because I really believed he may have loved Jesus @ the beginning. He heard the sermons, saw the miracles, your article about ‘The Apostle Judas Iscariot’ I have pondered or thought exactly the same way as you have written your article. I’m always praying to ask the Lord if my way of thinking is wrong. I’m not rebellious. I love the Lord with my whole heart, yet, people that oppose OSAS are called heretics & liars & trouble makers ...... I don’t get it? I can’t seem to find a church here in __________ that doesn’t take the OSAS stance ...... if you can recommend one, please let me know.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Sorry for the discouragement regarding eternal security teaching and teachers but it goes with that heresy. Imagine, they are teaching their heresy under the banner of “grace” and the “gospel,” yet they label Christians as being “heretics” etc.!
No doubt Judas was once saved. To teach otherwise is borderline blasphemy since Jesus picked him to hold the highest office “in the church” and to be his representative. If he was always unsaved then Jesus violated 1 Tim. 3 and Titus 1 regarding the high standards which are needed to be in spiritual office. They, of course, have to teach he was always unsaved because he went to hell in the end (Mk. 14:21; John 17:12). If they admit he was once saved, then his loss of salvation would destroy their doctrine.
We are living in a very dark day with rampant deception. You will have a hard time finding a sound church. In part that is why we started doing mini-teachings on video to feed the sheep something from Scripture. Those teachings are compact. (EMAIL) I have enjoyed your book THE BELIEVER’S CONDITIONAL SECURITY .... I have almost finished reading it. I ran across a website today that you might find interesting since the man .... called you and all who teach or believe in a conditional security false teachers .... I am _____________ and he on another website attacked us for believing a works salvation. I turned my back on the Lord two years ago and married an Independent Fundamentalist .... I knew better but I deceived myself into thinking that we could somehow make it work even though we believed separate things concerning salvation. I was ... lonely and wanted so badly to be married this was my downfall. I have paid dearly for listening to Satan ..... he and our entire family are so deceived .... it makes my blood run cold to hear some of their philosophies so far removed from Scripture .... Pray for me and my loved ones ... that God will lift the blinders off their eyes .... he thinks his pastor can do no wrong. God’s Word is true and I am reaping what I have sown .... pray God will deliver my children and my husband even though I don’t deserve it. I would love to share your book with him .... but I know he would dismiss it with all the different versions of the Bible in it ... {we have discussed salvation and conditional security several times as much as he will allow} .... he believes in using the KJV..... I do as well because I believe it is the preserved Word of God .... I know it is not word for word like the Greek and Hebrew text but still for years it was the only Bible in the English language ... and carried the Christians through who cut their teeth on it. Taking a stand with the King James Version is also a way of sifting out all the fallible versions out there today and undoubtedly tomorrow as Satan attempts to pervert the Word of God. My Grandfather and my Grandfather before that only had the King James Version and it was clear to them that ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED was not biblical. The King James makes it just as clear to anyone searching for the truth as other versions .... my grandfather understood it and he didn’t even finish the 2nd grade .... because the Spirit of God teaches us all things ... even the King’s English. I fear your stand on the KJV could alienate many who would otherwise hear your message .... These people don’t need to be converted to the opinion that what sustained the 1611 Christian is somehow now inferior .... but rather that the preserved Word of God in this form as well teaches a conditional salvation not one of works but one of obedience. I hope you receive this in the spirit if which it is written .... in love.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Sorry to read that you are suffering so for marrying an eternal security proponent. His loose example caused by his beliefs could adversely affect your family in the future. You must be on guard and try to prevent this.
The KJV is not the preserved word, as you heard. The Hebrew and Greek manuscripts are. Besides that, the KJV was NOT the first English translation and was never the only one available. Finally, as kind as I can write it I do not believe your grandfather or any KJV person could/can understand the KJV or even pronounce the archaic words! I speak from experience. At one time I too believed the KJV was the most accurate translation. I studied it carefully and could NOT understand much of it. All that changed when I started to read reputable translations in the English we speak today (which is not the same as in 1611). Please look over these 7 articles on the KJV for more information http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/cat2.htm
GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) I have enjoyed reading some of the articles on your site. I do have some questions, however. You state that you are not legalistic, but you evidently have a list of sins which will disqualify one from salvation. You distinguish between sins which cause one to lose one’s salvation and those which do not. I would like to see a complete list of which sins are of a disqualifying nature and which are not. I also observe that while you contend that OSAS teachers have a low view of sin in general, there is sense in which you too have a low view of sin, since you believe that some sins are not serious enough to disqualify one from salvation. Isaiah 59:2, which you quote, makes no distinction between kinds of sins. I do not see how anyone can be saved if any of our sins are going to be counted against us. I feel that every thing I say or do which is not perfectly in line with God’s will is a sin. Since none of us is perfect, then how can I (or anyone else) possibly be saved if all that I do and say is to be counted against me. Thank you, for your time. I am not trying to be argumentative. I am trying to come to grips with what is to me new theology which seems to have some scriptural ground, but which also seems to lead only to despair and to a works approach to maintaining salvation. A work which in which I am not able to succeed. Thank you again,

You wrote:

You seemingly think to know certain sins can negate salvation makes one “legalistic.” If that was true, then Paul was also legalistic for teaching that same way (Eph. 5:5-7; Gal. 5:19-21; etc.), but that is impossible since Paul fought Jewish legalism. You also stated you want a complete list of sins that can negate salvation. The Bible doesn’t give one. The various Biblical lists are incomplete at times! See Gal. 5:19-21.
If we have a low and wrong view of sin, then John did too, since we quote him (1 John 5:16,17). He said there is sin that does NOT lead to death. Remember that, that is, not all sin will bring about spiritual death. This is fact. It is truth. It doesn’t lead to despair. It never did in New Testament times among the Christians that were repeatedly taught they could lose their salvation (Rom. 8:13; James 5:19,20; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11; etc.). Also maintaining a pure heart is not “works.” It is part of “grace.”
You need our book, “The Believer’s Conditional Security” and your mind renewed from all the false teachings you have received.
GOD BLESS YOU. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) ... i totally agree with you being anti OSAS. i, too, believe that as a Christian we are to “daily” take up our cross and follow Him. it makes me sad that many bible teachers are preaching this false message and therefore, misleading many into damnation. please keep up the GOOD WORK and continue to teach the TRUE MESSAGE so that those who are deceived may have their eyes opened before its too late.
May the GRACE AND BLESSINGS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU
(RESPONSE) Greetings in JESUS’ name.
A MAJOR part of the reason why the so-called churches of our day are in such bad shape is the teaching of eternal security. It is a blessing to know you know it is not from God and not a Christian teaching.
Do you know about these? http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/alphabet.htm

(EMAIL) I as a active Gideon International renounce your religion and call upon God to bring rath upon you and your teachings today. You are a instructment which is leading many to the depths of Hell, if you truly believe what you have written. At this time I am putting you on my junk email list and will not reply should any sneak through.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Why get so mad? Why not examine the evidence and change accordingly. The Gideons promote the HERESY of eternal security, which originated with the devil. A Christian MUST endure to the end to enter God’s kingdom (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11). Follow the teachings of the Bible, not how you were taught.
GOD BLESS YOU.
