(EMAIL) I am a Catholic Christian and am intrigued by the Protestant doctrine of the Bible Alone. (The Catholic Church sees the Bible as an authority, but not the sole authority.) In many years of prayerful Scripture reading and study, I have not found the teaching of the Bible Alone expressed in the Bible. Most non-Catholic Christians, when questioned on this issue, tend to cite Second Timothy 3:16-17 or a similar passage. Yet while these passages confirm the inspiration and great authority of Scripture, none identifies Scripture as the only authority for believers. ... Thank you for your time and consideration, and for your devotion to the Holy Bible. May Our Sweet Lord Jesus Christ abundantly bless you and all whom you love; may He shower you with mercy.
Yours in Christ,
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
You cited 2 Tim. 3:16,17 but might not have noticed a few things. Here is that passage:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
If Scripture (THE BIBLE) is given for “correction” then it must be our standard of God’s truth with nothing higher. Therefore, anything that would contradict the Bible is NOT sound and must be rejected by Christians. Furthermore, the man of God is “thoroughly equipped for every good work” with the Scriptures ALONE. He doesn’t need the so-called Sacred Tradition of Catholicism. Also, if one doesn’t believe he is “thoroughly equipped” with the Bible alone he must not be a “man of God.”
... I used to be a staunch Catholic but became a Christian by reading the Bible and changing to its message. Please do the same. Ponder Luke 18:9-14. That is where it all started for me. GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) Yes, I have a question to ask. Mainly in reference to Matthew ch.5: 29-30. Is Jesus actually saying to do this literally? Again, Is Jesus telling us to do this literally? Is Jesus telling us that it would be better to actually cut off our members if need be, so as to not go to hell? Please explain this passage in proper context, more elaborately, so I can better understand this passage of scripture. Thank-you.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
The Lord Jesus taught there that sin can drag any person to HELL, even one previously saved. He also taught it is so important to avoid hell by sinning, if you must cut off your bodily members to do this, it would be better than not to and go to hell because they helped you into sin. JESUS TAUGHT SIN IS THE ISSUE. Never forget that! See Rev. 21:8; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; etc.
GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) How do I explain the sightings of Mary by the saints, miracles of bloody palms, etc. that Catholics are taught to believe in childhood? I always believed they were real... Is this Satan’s ploy and is it conjured up by Catholics’ desire for a real-life spiritual experience?
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Most people are NOT aware of what the devil can and will do to deceive a person. Furthermore, most don’t really know the message of the Bible. Hence, they are in a VERY DANGEROUS spiritual condition. This is true for the Catholics as well as many non-Catholics, who are also on their way to hell.
Please check out our articles for Catholics http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/catholic.htm
The Bible is FINAL AUTHORITY (2 Tim. 3:16,17). Hence, the sooner we learn its message and change accordingly, the better.
GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) my friend i believe is a believer of eternal security and he tells me that if a converted believer puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger he is actually saved and going to heaven , I believe that that is from the pits of hell , I believe that once you are saved you can lose your salvation and go to hell . is this called like you book The conditional security please give me a reply ... i am wondering what book i can get for him to change his mind thanks
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
What he said by telling you that is: A person once saved can turn from God and become a [self]-murderer, not repent and still go to heaven. That is the essence of his belief. You are right to believe one can lose his salvation.
Many people have read our 801 page book, “The Believer’s Conditional Security” and have been blessed. There are over 700 footnotes in this book. It is accurate, Biblical and has never been refuted.
Remember Heb. 3:14. GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) Hello, God bless you!
First, I want you to know that I’m in total agreement with you doctrinally. There are conditions and an expectation of the Lord toward us (holiness) to be saved for real.
Second, your website though, continually suggests to not believe in what the ‘eternal security believers’ teach. I absolutely know what you mean by this, but, I have to admit, it gives a first impression to someone not to believe in eternal security.
I absolutely believe in eternal security: 1. Believe on Him (Jesus Christ) 2. Receive His Holy Spirit (power to obey) 3. Obey His commandments
4. Abide in Him (stay put)
Doing these things will give us confidence that we are eternally secure! Amen.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Your email was very good at confusing the issue over the dangers of eternal security. Your type of unclear message needs to stop for the sake of clarity and truth. Paul never taught like you! Many would not know what you really believe.
We have noticed that [some] people have applied a different definition to eternal security than the standard, typical one as used by Stanley, MacArthur, Hunt, etc. They [Stanley, MacArthur, Hunt, etc.] further explained the definition by their teachings—a person once saved can afterwards turn to wickedness, like the unbelievers, and remain saved. In other words, one does NOT have to “obey” (and can’t obey) and will remain saved. That is their teaching and that is from Satan. NO ONE, therefore, can be eternal secure. “Eternal security” refers to remaining secure in SIN—not in obedience. Remember that and stop clouding the issue. Many SOULS are deceived by this damnable HERESY. Don’t try to befriend it.
GOD BLESS YOU. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) I found your site browsing the internet. Throughout history, mankind has sought after God. I am only writing because I am lonely, and I figure God is lonely too.
I used to go to one of those giant, non-denominational churches. We have a pulpit that got split in half years ago out in the foyer. Why do the preachers in the big churches not participate in the preliminary worship service with the little guys? They are like celebrities or something. I tried to “get real” with the pastor there, but only got the artificial shoulder and a handshake every year or so ....
Anyhow, now I live alone in a machine shop as night-watchman, still searching for God. I’ve been reading my Bible, and attending the smallest, most boring church I could find just two blocks from me. I read about how God spoke to people in the Bible, and I wish very much that I could “hear” God also. I do this senseless thing because I believe that God is coming to pour out his Spirit someday. I’m almost afraid to go out and socialize. There are many who suffer from addictions, and demons here. It’s real! And wow some of them hate me for no reason!
I know that I just need to wait and be patient. It’ll come. I just know it. I am very blessed to be able to “see”, but I just don’t “hear”. I am lonely, and I want to be closer to God. I’ve been shedding the sin away from my life in hopes that God would draw closer to my heart. It’s the sin that separates us from Him ...
In conclusion, I’d like to say thank you for your website. There are lots of people like me browsing the internet.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
I’m very sorry for the misery and pain. This life is filled with such. Everyone could tell their own story. The important thing is to turn from sins and place a trusting-submissive faith in the Lord Jesus. Please read this
http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/salvationps.htm
This life is short. Plan ahead by getting and keeping a pure heart.
The so-called “churches” of our day are in terrible shape spiritually. They are snares rather than blessings, with very little exception. But know this: YOU are not alone. There are MANY people who can’t find a sound church or even Christian fellowship! This is on a world-wide scale!
As you draw near to God by getting rid of sin and changing based upon Scripture, you will get closer and closer to him. Remember there is NO SECRET SIN. God knows everything.

(EMAIL) I stumbled across your web site calling MacArthur and Lutzer false teachers because they believe in eternal security. What buys eternity? What loses it?
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
To become a real Christian one must repent and commit from their heart to the Lord Jesus. Please read this
http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/salvationps.htm The issue, though, is: Can a righteous person die spiritually or not? The Biblical answer is YES. Please read this http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/spiritualdeath.htm

(EMAIL) As I read your book and listen to some of your debates and study things on your web site, I can see where you are having to put up quite a fight for the truth.
I, for one, am very glad that you’re obeying Jesus and contending for the faith. I am a product of eternal security teaching and am living proof that a person who was truly saved, can then be truly lost and on the wrong path. OSAS really IS a license to sin ! That is exactly what happened to me. I wasn't afraid of God or afraid of losing my salvation so I wasn't afraid of sin. I ignorantly believed that I could sin and still be safe and secure. . . I REALLY was saved and I had a very miraculous and personal salvation experience. It’s to my shame and regret that I immediately, after salvation, fell into the hands of a false teacher, and gradually and insidiously fell into horrible sins.
The radio teacher I listened to was J. Vernon McGee. I listened to him for many years and I’m still undoing many of his teachings; with the help of God. Is it possible that a Christian, like McGee, can be a false teacher, but a real Christian? Could he have done that out of ignorance, but still be saved?
... you are a light in this present day darkness; thank you for standing strong and being unafraid. Keep on going because I fear there are MANY people just like me, who have been deceived and who have yet to hear the truth.
May God bless you and your much needed ministry, I look forward to reading/listening to more of your teachings,
p.s. I’m going to share your book with several people I know who are living under the false teaching of OSAS.
By the way, the truth REALLY does set us free. Free from the bondage of sin! And I am being freed; thanks to our Lord and to people like you, who speak the truth; no matter what! There is hope for people like me and people like me need people like you; to speak the truth and help set us free! Thank you for giving hope and truth to repentant backsliders.
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
THANK YOU for the very nice and encouraging email.
YES you are right, we are in a great battle for truth. The devil fights hard and confuses the issue every way he can and as often as he can. Even among those who agree with us, we have gotten very little support, encouragement, etc. (percentage-wise) for all we have helped over the years.
Your personal testimony helps to confirm the fruit of the doctrine of eternal security. You described it perfectly—no fear of God, no fear of losing your salvation and no fear of sinning. That combination leads to an immoral person (now twice spiritually dead) professing to be a Christian, which smears the holy image of Christianity and sets a terrible example before all others.
Eternal security people who SOMETIMES say one was “never saved to begin with” because they stray to a certain degree (but not at other times when others do the same or worse) just confuse the issue by saying this. But that is probably what they want to do to conceal the license for immorality they teach and try to defend. Their teaching is accurately described as the security-in-sin gospel. Remember: There is only one HERESY that tries to convince people, if ever once saved, they can afterwards be a drunk, murderer, thief, adulterer, liar, swindler, homosexual, witch, etc. all at the same time and remain saved. We call eternal security THE HERESY around here. There are no heresies like THE HERESY.
It seems that the devil goes after new converts with eternal security before they can get grounded. Have you ever noticed 2 Peter. 2:18,19?
For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.
McGee, a Calvinist, has stumbled MANY people over the years. Based on Jude and other Scriptures we do not believe these eternal security teachers can be Christians. Jude certainly didn’t think they were. If we really stick with the Bible we must conclude the same. That also explains why they can’t understand the parables. (About 7 parables teach a conditional salvation security.)
Have you read over this for new converts http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/newconverts.htm
You now have the GREATEST reason to live—to serve God. You also have much to be thankful to God for. Keep drawing near to God and he will draw near to you. This life is short and eternity is very loooong.
GOD BLESS YOU. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) The thing that is so amazing about OSAS is that most “Christians” think that they have God cornered or trapped regarding their salvation. They think that they have a ticket to heaven in their back pocket. God has always left His options open. I believe that it is true that: “All of God’s promises are conditional.” I am happy to say that God kept me clear on this issue. Early on I was determined to be a “Berean”. I sat under the preaching of OSAS for many years and never got sucked in and was bold in my testimony against that deception.
On a somewhat unrelated issue: Do you think that the word “blessed” is ever to be pronounced “bless-ed”. (Which carries with a totally different meaning.) Could it be that the word should always be pronounced at blessed? (Such as in: “I was blessed by the message.”) Don’t you think that the beatitudes would make more sense?
(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.
It is wonderful to read your insights about THE HERESY (eternal security) and to know that you know this doctrine is demonic. It appears that you are NOT going any longer to an eternal security teaching congregation. That is wonderful. No Christian should support such doctrine with their presence or money.
Regarding the word “blessed” I really don’t see the difference, but that is okay.
With a name like ___ are you Russian? Were you taught eternal security in Russia or whatever country you are from?
