(EMAIL) I have no doubt that you are a child of the devil. There are no Marys of Catholicism & Mary’s of the Bible. If you say ,“O God” & are sure that you’re calling upon the True God, you don’t need to mention that you’re calling upon the God of the Bible .
Ok you Biblical scholar; You Trust that Jesus is the God-man & he’s perfect lamb of God without the blemish of Original sin .Tell me did not God say ..“ Honour thy Father & Mother”.If God is Jesus’ Father & as any sane human & even a scientist & even a dictionary would testify that Mary of Nazareth naturally, physically, emotionally et Cetra was & of course still is the Mother of the Living God ; Don’t you think that your God (if at all he is Jesus Christ & not any other imaginary Jesus like the muslims ,jehova’s witnesses et Cetra have ) will keep his word coz the Bible itself says that God does not go against hsi word . & if I call Mary of Nazareth, Mother of God (Jesus of course is God) as Queen of Creation ,I do not in any way elevate her more than God . Oh ya you Disbeliever who needs Biblical References & is slow to believe do some research, See the old Testament & you’ll find in Judaism it was not as in case of pagan Rulers who had their wives as Queens. In the Bible you’ll find that the wives of the King were submissive to him & it was the MOTHERS who were Queens. You’ll also find instances where Kings have Genuflected before their Mothers not coz they thought that their Moms were godesses but just to Show Respect .Go do some bible study Great theologian . I’m not Someone Great .I am a Humble Servant of God, coz he Himself is meek & humble of heart .He told me ,” Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.”

The Mary of the Bible (who gave birth to the man Jesus) is a different “Mary” than the one who has been fabricated, prayed to and trusted in for salvation by Catholics. Over the centuries more and more false concepts to Mary have been added to the place where she is now considered the sinless, Queen of Heaven, co-redeemer, mediatrix and dispenser of all graces, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To believe these unbiblical things will surely damn any person. ALL 100% of our TRUST FOR SALVATION is to be in the Lord JESUS and 0% in Mary, the sacraments, church membership, etc.
There can be NO DOUBT that Catholic authorities of the past have elevated their Mary to the place where they have asked her in prayer for salvation and taught such to others. One such heretic was became a Catholic “saint” —Alphonsus Liquori. He was called an “apostle of Mary”!
To say that Jesus obeyed his Father and Mother and thereby imply these unscriptural claims for the Mary of Catholicism are true is irrational. Jesus never viewed the real Mary the way Catholics view the fabricated Mary of Catholicism. We are talking about a SALVATION issue here and nothing less. You also brought up Old Testament kings having their mother as “queen.” Solomon did that, but did you ever notice that she had ZERO (0) control and power. It was NOT son and mother ruling! Furthermore, it clearly was NOT Jesus AND MARY working together on earth. The first person mentioned in the Bible who Jesus rebuked was his Mother because she was in error and that was when he was at the age of 12. While Catholics sometimes point out the truth in John 14:6, they more often proclaim a contradictory message about Mary being their “life” and “the way” to God—according to the Rosary and Fatima visions. Don’t be deceived by this.
Finally, we don’t think Catholicism elevates their fabricated Mary MORE THAN God. They don’t have to, to spread a poisonous and lethal message about Mary to others. PLEASE for your own soul’s sake read the New Testament and change accordingly. The Bible is FINAL AUTHORITY and what you do with that message will determine where YOU spend eternity.

(EMAIL) Hello, I am from Canada .... I have been misled, first by my own initial antichrist reading of scripture, then by spending years in a _________ church. I found, to be honest, more depraved people there than on the street, and wish to this day that I never set foot in there, were it not for the fact that while there I actually had experiences with God that were powerful beyond words. Presently I have no fellowship with believers, for I am not sure where to find one? There is a spiritual wasteland out there, and I still have my own serious issues to work through. I only hope that somebody out there ... can be bothered to correspond. Not quite sure what to do, have only recently begun reading the Bible after years of not doing it. Found that it didn’t help to get me out of my chronic rut. And on top of that, I have friends who have either denied Christ, stopped serving him with joy, or who are altogether talking about a different gospel than the one I am sure I am supposed to embrace. Very frustrating. Please help me to arrive at a good place, like I know I am supposed to.

We are sorry for the disappointments, etc. that you have experienced. You are NOT ALONE! We are in a DEEP DARK APOSTASY. Many have been stumbled, misled, frustrated, etc. The so-called churches are loaded with sin and false teachings. That however doesn’t change the message of the Bible or the value of one’s soul. PLEASE PLEASE don’t give up. We are promised if we seek God with all of our heart we will find him, which is the GREATEST TREASURE.
You might never be able to find a sound church. If you can find 1 or 2 others who fear God, study the Bible with them and change accordingly. Put into practice what you read. See Luke 8:21.

We are VERY SORRY your girl friend is getting deceived by the JWs. It is WONDERFUL that you are there to help her. There are several things which can help quickly, depending on how indoctrinated she is already. If she has a little understanding of the Bible, she knows Jesus is NOT Michael the archangel, which is what the JWs teach. They don’t reveal this doctrine right away. Hence, if she is new in studying with them, mention this and hopefully she will be awakened to their dangerous teachings.
Also, know this: ALL JWs have accepted 1 simple concept which holds them all in bondage to the Watchtower headquarters. That concept is: ONLY the Watchtower headquarters can correctly understand the Bible. Hence, if a JW thinks like that, then automatically you and I are wrong, regardless what we show them. Hence, that trust and confidence in the Watchtower must be shaken. This can be done with various false prophecies and contradictions. Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The rapture is when the church is caught up to meet him the air, and the only time this happens is at the second coming. The notion of a pre-tribulation rapture will be the cause for the falling away.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

There is NO DOUBT that many will be hurt because of believing the PRE-trib rapture lie. If it is the cause of the great falling away or not we can’t clearly say.

I quite know that the Father is distinct from the Son, and really get uneasy when the Father is supplanted with the Son as is the norm nowadays. But as you pointed out, Jesus the Son is also deity:
I would want you to please relate this with the injunction that we should not worship any other God but the Father. Is Jesus worthy of worship as deity?
I am from the ____ tribe of Nigeria and before the advent of Christianity my people acknowledged the supremacy of the Almighty God (Chukwu), but they believed the other (smaller) gods to be mediators and more accessible to humans. And though they made idols of these gods they never had the effrontery to make an idol of the Almighty, and their highest oaths were by the Almighty.
Since the Father is greater than the Son, does the worship of the Son as deity not equate what my people of old were doing? Were my people also right though not perfect?

Jesus is NOT a lesser deity than the Father. He is EQUALLY God. Please don’t stumble over John 14:28 where Jesus said the Father is “greater” than him. The Lord Jesus spoke that as a humble servant and man when referring to OFFICE, not NATURE. Jesus was in subjection to the Father, but remained deity. Ponder this:
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! (Phil 2:5-8)

If the Lord did then there is no clear Biblical evidence for it! Some misuse/misunderstand Acts 2:31 and think “Hell” (KJV) there or “hades” (NIV) has to mean the abode of the wicked dead, but it doesn’t. That Greek word refers to where all people—righteous and wicked—went after they died. (The righteous were on one side of an impassable gulf and the wicked on the other side in fire and torment. See Luke 16:19-31.)
Hope that helps. Now a few questions for you? Do YOU realize that a real Christian is one who is following Jesus NOW in the PRESENT? Are you aware that eternal security and Calvinism are demonic lies? Are you like most on the road to hell?

(EMAIL) I have a dear friend who is currently a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and we have been having discussions on the Bible. How is it possible to “de-program” this person so as to allow her to realize that she is being deceived? I’ve been steadfast in my prayers that Jesus would allow his Holy Spirit to dwell in her heart so that she would want to know the “whole” truth regarding the Holy Scriptures. Although my Faith is indeed strong, I’m becoming frustrated in my efforts. I’m beginning to realize just how strong her organizations ability is to control her thoughts are on this subject. Is there anything else I can do that might get some better results sooner?

The real lie that holds the JWs in bondage to those false doctrines is this: They all believe the Watchtower Headquaters is the ONLY source of God’s truth. That deception must be exposed. So how can this be done? By using their own materials you can bring up their false prophecies, contradictions, etc. IF you can get them to THINK ON THEIR OWN, then you can show them the truth of God about SALVATION. SALVATION is the subject the JWs need to learn about most. Don’t discuss the Trinity, birthdays, blood transfusions, etc. Stick to what the Bible says about SALVATION. Especially verses like 1 John 5:12,13 are good, as is Titus 3:5-7; etc.
The JWs are trained in twisting Scriptures and will CONFUSE and OVERWHELM MOST professing Christians, including ministers. You must be prepared for their tactics which they regularly practice in the Kingdom Halls.

(EMAIL) ... I’m a bit timid as I have no idea how to proceed in getting the word to you concerning how starved I am for the truth. Unfortunately it seems I have opened my mind to read and even study too much stuff and my head is spinning in confusion. Then of course there are all those years I was blind or wasn’t ready yet to completely surrender all.
I’ve always been a bit of a gypsy so I have traveled through many different churches. I could have been one of the countless who regularly attend a dead church and still be in the same shape I am today. For the majority of the past three years I have diligently sought more understanding. My life has been filled with much tragedy and anguish throughout this time (as it has since my first birth) and I need God to spell it out for me so I may experience the life of a true believer.
How many seekers out here have no real place to get answers? The JW’s and Mormons and all the cults aren’t too busy to bother you, offering all kinds of time to teach their beliefs. It often seems there are more answering machines, automatic mailed responses and many middle men before you get to (if ever you get to) converse with the man in charge of all this teaching we are delving into.
Most of us are amateurs and we need guidance when we accidentally stumble onto your site, which is precisely what I did three days ago. It is the new converts we need to be concerned with and with your teaching I would guess most of us may feel like one these days.
My first very important question is: Have you heard of Harold Camping with Family Radio Worldwide? I heard it several months ago, then two weeks ago I got serious about listening to him and he is telling us that the Lord’s coming will occur May 21, 2011. Your teaching is easier to grasp that this one—but still much more stern than most of us are brought to believe once we leave the Catholics.
I’ve heard it read that God does not create a spirit of confusion .... In my case the more I seek the more confused I become. How are we to determine who the false teachers are? Sure you back up your words with scripture, but so does it seem they do as well ....
Your teaching has got me all stirred up, as it should. I’ve always believed our churches were in trouble, but according to your writings we are more confused than could have been imagined.

We are VERY SORRY that you are having trouble knowing what is God’s truth and what isn’t. This is common and will CONTINUE until you learn the New Testament for yourself. Only such will set your heart at ease.
As for me, I was once a staunch Roman Catholic. I started to read the Bible and my eyes were opened to see what we have been taught is clearly not the message of the Lord Jesus or his disciples. The Bible says we must make JESUS the object of our faith, not the sacraments, Mary and/or being a Catholic. The faith we must have is an OBEDIENT faith. See Rev. 21:8; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Gal. 5:19-21; etc.
Harold Camping is a false teacher. The mere fact that he teaches eternal security is enough reason to shut his off teachings permanently. He likewise believes in a pre-trib rapture which is also false. Camping falsely predicted the Lord’s return about 1 decade or so ago. For your own good stay away from him.
To learn the vital truths of God and quench that thirst for “truth,” which you have, please read the New Testament over for yourself at least 10 times. Read it from different translations—NIV, NASB, NRSV, ESV, etc. Read it and change accordingly. See Luke 8:21.

(EMAIL) Please help me to overcome my guilt of having a one night stand with a divorced woman. I myself am a single guy. Never been married. But she was married twice and divorced twice. We stop seeing each other after the one night stand. I regret it ever since. but my conscious is still bothering me. I feel so ashamed and guilt because of my lack of self control at that time. Help me. I hate myself for becoming a stumbling block to her and myself. I am a believer. I repented of it. but yet the thought still lingers in my mind. Also, does that make me an adulterer? Even though I am not married. Yet had a sexual encounter to a divorced woman Would that make me a fornicator or adulterer or both? I apologized to her and prayed with her to forgive me. I asked God to forgive me and her for this sin. Never again have i contacted her. Will God judge me even though i sinned and apologized. I despised myself for it.

Your remorse, regret and other actions show your repentance. As painful as it all was, move on. Remember the pain and regret when the devil tempts you in the future. The devil never indicates such when he is tempting one to sin like that.
David got saved again and forgiven of his murder and adultery and Peter got saved again and forgiven of his disowning Jesus and you did too. Over time the peace and joy of salvation will return. Your sin was a deep hurt to the Holy Spirit and sin against your own body (1 Cor. 6:18), but since you repented you are forgiven of that adultery. God took you back. (EMAIL) I was reading your article concerning prostitution. When I got to the bottom of the column I particularly read with interest your comments about Bathsheba and David. I respectfully disagree with your statement concerning Bathsheba being a prostitute.
King David was not out playing war like all of the other Kings. Her bathing on the rooftop was a common thing during that day, especially in hot weather. Granted she was a married woman and King David a married man. He was the King and she subject to him. You could not refuse a King’s request. You risked your life if you did. The Bible doesn’t say that she knew David was watching her bathe. All of Israel knew when the King was or was not in the palace.
This was David’s sin and David’s sin alone. David’s lusting after Bathsheba led to the death of her husband, without the knowledge of Bathsheba.
I’ve listened for years to preachers bash Bathsheba. She had no choice but to submit to the King.

ANY woman or man that would bathe where another could view their naked body is immoral. Bathsheba is no exception. End of discussion. Also, your attempted defense of Bathsheba—she couldn’t refuse the King’s request—is wrong. Of course she could. It might have cost her her life, but she could have walked pure and holy in that area and been faithful to God and her husband. Jezebel, Bathsheba, Job’s wife and Rachael were among the most wicked women in the Bible.
