EO Responds To

Emails 08-16-09

(EMAIL) ...We recently had to leave a "house" fellowship that we attended for 11 months because one of the speakers in his sharing said that we are gods and to be the little god Father G-d wants you to be. When we shared that this was in error, the leaders of our group saw nothing wrong in what this man said, in fact we have been rebuked. So, for now we are without fellowship except between ourselves and Jesus. We have been unable to find a good sound church in doctrine according to the scriptures. We can see the U.S. imploding before our eyes spiritually, economically, and politically. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven ...." This is not our home but eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Keep up the good fight. :) Continued blessings.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.... We are not too surprised over what happened at that house fellowship. There are so many false weird doctrines floating around, it seems to be almost impossible to find even a semi-sound church. Also, the devil is very good at bringing the wrong people along sometimes with false doctrines. There needs to be someone who can refute such and even better never allow it in the first place. We are very sorry for the pain and disappointment associated with that whole experience, but you are NOT alone. Many could share something similar, but still different. We are in a deep dark apostasy, which must precede the rise of the man of sin commonly called the antichrist (2 Thess. 2:1-10).

Our country is in serious trouble. Many are hurting very badly at this moment. Perhaps some will turn to the Lord. I have observed over the decades of handing out salvation literature wherever I go that at certain times people are much more receptive and thankful to get salvation literature. This has been the case, for the most part, over the last year or so. May God have mercy on our land. Whatever happens, keep your eyes on eternity and remain faithful to the Lord Jesus. This life is certainly not our “home,” as you have said. GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) Thank you very much for your website. I look forward every Sunday morning to receiving the weekly messages EO sends out. I especially like reading the emails you receive and the responses. Many times I have some of those same questions or someone may have asked me those questions. It helps tremendously. (I once was a OSAS supporter, not knowing any difference). Words cannot express my gratitude to the Lord for me to see how terrible OSAS doctrine and many people die spiritually because of it.. I too was on the road to Hell while fornicating and doing many evil acts and still thought I was going to Heaven. Wow, what deception. Thank you again for this website. I will continue to pray for you....

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name.... We are also grateful our Sunday messages have helped you.

We rejoice with you about coming out of the heresy of eternal security. Thank you Jesus. Living immorally is commonplace among those who believe that doctrine. We could share many stories. Another common characteristic is the fear of God and sinning is extinguished because of that teaching. It is the devil’s masterpiece which he has used for thousands of years to recapture SOULS.

Now that God has opened your eyes to the dangerous lie that salvation in immorality is, please try to turn others from such. Your personal experience might give you a major advantage.... GOD BLESS YOU. Remember 1 Cor. 2:9.

(EMAIL) you need to compare your bible with the new world translation... they are the same just written in a more understanding way.... i have compared many bibles with the new translations and they read the same...

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. The New World Translation was created by the Watchtower Society to help instill Watchtower [false] doctrines. They did that by adding critical words which should not be there and removing decisive words that should be there. They have also inconsistently translated words for the same reason. A special target of the NWT is the deity of Christ and him being worshiped, [which they try to conceal and/or remove].

Please do not think that the NWT is easier to read, more accurate or more understandable than other translations. The NWT is a spiritual snare to all who read and believe it. You will be much better off to read and study from the NASB, ESV, NRSV or NIV. All of these are far superior to the NWT. For detailed information about some of the errors in the NWT, please read “The New World Translation” http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/jehovah.htm

GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) When you say that "Once Saved Always Saved" is a false doctrine, are you talking about the Calvinistic view of Perseverance of the Saints (One is saved, and the evidence of his faith is the process of regeneration and sanctification in his life. If the process is not shown, he was never truly saved in the first place, because God never worked in him), or the Free Grace or decision theology view of Salvation (Once someone made a decision for Christ, they are saved, even if their life is still in sin with no repentance.)

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. There is no difference between once saved always saved, eternal security, the perseverance of the saints or the preservation of the saints. These are all names for the same detestable doctrine from hell, first taught by the devil in Gen. 3:4. Some people try to make a distinction, but it’s really nothing but semantics which only confuses the issue and deceives the inexperienced. All proponents of those named doctrines believe that King David remained saved while in adultery and murder. Hence, from John MacArthur to Ray Comfort to Charles Stanley, they all are spreading a dangerous message which will help the devil reclaim souls which were saved.

How you described the Perseverance of the Saints is NOT consistent to what happened to Solomon and how the Westminster Confession mentions him! At the end of Solomon’s life his heart turned to idolatry. (He was NOT more sanctified at the end of his life than at the time when he dedicated the Temple.) Furthermore, the Westminster Confession cites David, Solomon and others as examples of the elect who “fall into grievous sins”! Calvinism has a DOUBLE MESSAGE which has deceived some about its wickedness.

How could you logically and consistently end your email with this???:

“Once someone made a decision for Christ, they are saved, even if their life is still in sin with no repentance.”

Unless a person is righteous at the end of his life, he will go to the lake of fire, even if he was saved before this. Please consider getting our 801 page book refuting eternal security entitled, The Believer’s Conditional Security. There is MUCH in it that can help you better understand this salvation related subject. http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/whatsnew.htm This book is the most exhaustive and comprehensive refutation to eternal security ever written. It has never been refuted and never will, even though thousands of Baptists ministers have it!

Please consider signing up for our weekly email teachings, updates, etc. If interested, you can do that here http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/contact.htm Remember Gal. 6:8,9 is a SALVATION passage not a rewards passage. GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) ...I just would like clarification on where you and I disagree. Is our disagreement that you believe that any time a Christian commits any sin, he immediately forfeits his salvation, the Holy Spirit immediately leaves him, and if he were to die in that state, he would ultimately be cast into hell, and that I don't believe those things?

No need to send me a list a scriptures, as I have read the Bible a few times. Just a simple "yes" or "no" will be sufficient, or if there is something in between what I have written, a short clarification would be all that is necessary. Every blessing,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Please do NOT discredit us by misrepresenting our holiness-endurance teachings. Some dishonest people try to do that through suggesting that our message is utter foolishness by saying we teach any sin will cause loss of salvation. (As Paul’s teaching was slandered [Rom. 3:8], so has ours been.) We do NOT teach every time a person sins he will always lose his salvation. NOTE: All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls. Some sins are greater than others (Jn. 19:11). One type is eternal (Mk. 3:29), while others are not. Another type of sin is uniquely against our bodies, while other sins are outside our bodies (1 Cor. 6:18). 1 Jn. 5:16 declares there is a sin that does not lead to death while there is a sin that leads to death. Sins such as worry (Phil. 4:6), unthankfulness (Col. 2:7, 3:15; Lk. 17:11-18) and not being completely humble and gentle (Eph. 4:2) are not included in any of the lists of sins that will send people to the lake of fire, even if they were once saved. However, other sins certainly will send any person to hell if they die unrepentant, even a person who was once saved. (See 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5,6; Jude 7; Rev. 22:15; etc.).

Again, sins like worry, not being completely humble or gentle, not always overflowing with thanksgiving to God, etc. are not in any Biblical list saying such will go to the lake of fire or such a person will not inherit the kingdom as are sexual immorality, idolatry, murder, theft, swindling, slander, etc. There are other sins, however, which will cause loss of salvation over one sin and are not listed with those sins. For example, disowning Jesus (Mt. 10:33; 2 Tim. 2:12). Other sins such as not bearing good fruit or remaining lukewarm will also cause loss of salvation unless one changes, but not immediately. To teach one must “practice” sin is dangerous at any time, especially before the mark of the beast is issued. Receiving that mark (just one time), negates one’s salvation. Taking words away from the Book of Revelation just ONE time will also cause loss of salvation (Rev. 22:19).

A further explanation of these things is found in our book, “The Believer’s Conditional Security,” which we know you had at one point. You can also read about one sin of certain types causing loss of salvation here http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/onesin.htm

...Material on the same is readily available to you, but you remain unmoved thinking even King David, while in adultery and murder, remained saved. Your message is especially a dangerous snare to those who reject eternal security because you will have them thinking “occasional” acts of such sins as listed in Rev. 21:8; Eph. 5:5-7; 1 Cor. 6:9,10, etc. will not cause spiritual death. From Genesis 2 through Revelation 22, we are told ONE sin (of certain types) will cause loss of salvation. Please do NOT dismiss such as foolishness or error. It is fact. Our apostate day filled with people who profess salvation and believe in a counterfeit “grace” (even as you teach) would find these facts strange unless they look into these things for themselves. Your teaching will almost entirely remove any concern about sinning to be extinguished from a Christian’s life. That will set a Christian up for a lethal fall and is clearly demonic. Hopefully, this clarification will suffice since apparently the others have not. GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) I was reading your rebuke on carm and on Matt Slick. By me being a follower in CHRIST, I believe that GOD has already chosen who HE want in heaven. What you said about David was wrong. GOD search the heart, did JESUS tell us that, the father have given us to HIM and that we can't be pluck out of the FATHER hand. I not an educated man but I do depend on the HOLY SPIRIT and the WORD of GOD to lead me. You have to remember that the heart of man is wicked and we, not satan actually commit sin. Even if you commit one sin your guilty of all. So your saying that one sin is bigger than the other, (mans rightousness is as fifty rags).I don't know why Mr. Slick will not debate, but in CHRIST true believe have talk it over in JESUS name. Don't the BIBLE say for us to reason together. I pray that I have said something that might help us get along as followers of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. What we have written about King David is Biblically correct. The sooner you stop believing what the Calvinists have taught you, the better it will be for you and your circle of influence. Without question, a righteous person will die spiritually, if he does evil:

If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, he will die for it. And if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing so. (Ezek 33:18,19)

You believe the last part of that passage about a wicked man who turns away from wickedness, but not the first part about a righteous man turning to evil. That should help you see there is something seriously wrong with what you have been taught. Also, please read this http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/spiritualdeath.htm

God has given all people a chance for salvation. If not, then he has essentially created the ones who will be lost in the end to just suffer throughout eternity. Does that seem like the God of the Bible?

You have referred to the following passage, so let’s take a close look at it:

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME. John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Please note that the ones that will “never perish” or get “snatched” from God’s hand, according to Jesus’ teaching are only the ones that FOLLOW HIM. Also, the Greek tense of the word “follow” in v. 27 is a CONTINUOUS TENSE. Hence, this verse does NOT allow for one to stray into wickedness and maintain their salvation as it has been misused to teach. Please remember this.

Remember also the Holy Spirit will lead one to holy behavior, holy thoughts, holy ambitions, etc. The Holy Spirit in Calvinism allows one to INDULGE in wickedness and still have salvation. That is not the real Holy Spirit but a doctrine of demons.

The heart of a Christian is NOT wicked. It is “pure” (Mt. 5:8) and that occurred at the point of salvation (Acts 15:9). After salvation, however, sin can defile and totally destroy that. Hence, one can lose his salvation.

All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls.

You also wrote:

(mans righteousness is as fifty rags)

Here is that actual verse:

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. (Isa 64:6)

The context is when they were backslid in wickedness! NOTE how the eternal security [teachers] magnify verses like that. Their hidden goal (though they would surely deny it) is to convince their audience how vile they can now be after salvation and remain saved. They are savage wolves and should be treated as a savage wolf.

It is impossible for a grace changer to be my spiritual brother. Jude thought such people were unsaved and blackest darkness has been prepared for them.

(EMAIL) I am a Catholic and happened across Stewart's bad words against The Book of Enoch. The first thing that crossed my mind was that he doesn't even understand what the words "born again" mean. I am thankful that someone out there can challenge and shut-up this obviously over-the-edge religious. I have found many works that are now available to us that aid in understanding our current days. If we close our minds to all that we have available (which is obviously God's plan to make us wiser), we become nothing but ignorant zombies. God Bless You for defending our rights to learn.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. There is no doubt that David Stewart is a heretic. I don’t know what he said about the Book of Enoch, but it is NOT Scripture and should not be trusted as such. (To read God’s truth read the New Testament. You don’t need the Book of Enoch.)

I was surprised to notice your mention of getting “born again.” You are supposed to believe that happens when babies are infant baptized. That is what Catholicism teaches, which is spiritual poison. There are many things that you can examine for yourself, which were written especially for Catholics here http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/catholic.htm

Please read the New Testament for yourself and carefully. Your SOUL is in the greatest danger— going to hell.

(EMAIL) I really got a lot from your site, and also find myself with huge opposition in trying to show that once saved always saved is false. But at the same time could be one of the most debilitating destructive church mainstream teachings, and one of the reasons for the problems in Christianity today.

It is preached here at churches alongside the salvation message as if it is fact, simple, and no question about it.

At one point in my life Jesus words seemed to again and again contradict what I was being taught concerning once saved always saved, and found that discouraging. When I dropped that teaching everything seemed to come and alive and make sense.

It’s so strange that so many of the verses you quote that go against once saved always saved, nobody ever taught me, they just came to mind as direct contradictions, and it’s a confirmation in a way that I can continue to use them because you did also....

I believe you conducted the interview with Mark Driscoll very well (although the part in the beginning with Judas maybe should have been avoided), the rest of your points were solid, and scriptural. You did not resort to character bashing like Mark did, I lost so much respect for him when he did this and gained respect for you when you did not retaliate on that level. It was inspiring to listen to. You cut to the chase a number of times, and mentioned the fruit of the doctrine.

That Mark has a big church is nothing to brag about repeatedly it means nothing, in fact that he has so much of certain demographics, could mean he has compromised too much, and the quality of the callers knowledge on scripture was generally very low also.

Arguing with the natural for the supernatural as the one caller did, you confronted it, and you weren’t afraid to plainly state what Jesus said.

Thanks for the good work. I hope you will be blessed with further insights and you have my good wishes for you and your work.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. It was a sweet blessing to read you know once saved always saved is demonic. The Calvinists have done a great job deceiving people with that. You mentioned how the devil’s first lie to mankind is taught next to the plan of salvation in New Zealand. Well, we have seen many so-called salvation tracts which refer to eternal security too! This is a worldwide problem. It has spread like gangrene and must be opposed, not ignored or supported. Multitudes are on the road to hell over this doctrine thinking they are heaven-bound!

Mark Driscoll has a double message, as they all do. It seems their audience, who seek out teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear, can NOT notice or don’t care about their contradictions. They love the devil’s lie and cleave to it to their own damnation. It is very sad. We especially get mad at so-called “pastors” who are not actively teaching against this widespread VENOM, which has taken many to hell. For many they are more interested in numbers and popularity, than precious souls and pleasing God.

Do you know about our two books refuting eternal security? Please consider signing up for our email teachings, updates, etc. If interested, you can do that here http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/contact.htm

God bless you. 1 Cor. 2:9.

(EMAIL) I am an ardent reader of your articles. But i disagree with you on the issue of MARY. I did not purchase the book, but i know where you people are heading to. You also claim that you were formally a catholic, but i doubt you because you did not follow or read the story behind fatima.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Believe it or not, it was the Fatima visions which finally tipped the scales causing me to leave Catholicism. I knew if I went by the Fatima message I would go to hell. Please know Mary is not “the way” to God, as Fatima states she is. Please read John 14:6 carefully. In fact, please read the entire New Testament. It is absolutely vital that you stop committing idolatry so rampant throughout Catholicism and reject their plan of salvation. Salvation is NOT associated with the sacraments, being a Catholic or Mary, according to the Bible. This is very serious. You are on the road to hell, as it seems you follow the message of Fatima instead of the Bible. Our book, “Is This The Mary Of The Bible?” can help you.

Remember Jesus’ public rebuke of the Catholic-like woman in his day:

As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:27, 28)

(When still a Catholic, as I read that, I was thrown into confusion. That confusion existed because I had been taught a wrong Mary, not the Mary of the Bible.) GOD BLESS YOU.

(EMAIL) I understand your points on no Calvinism, but I certainly want to ask you a question about eternal security, which you believe is NOT taught in the Bible. The question is: if you have been saved, and you do something wrong or just dwell on a bad thought and then die unexpectedly, would that mean that you would be going to Hell for eternity?...

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. It depends on the type of sin. All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls. (See 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5,6; Jude 7; Rev. 22:15; etc.).

You have never been taught about spiritual death that occurs to the righteous who turns to evil. That is a MAJOR truth you need to glue to your view on salvation and trash, for the most part, what you think you know. Please read this very carefully
