(EMAIL) Hi, I was looking at your site on the false teachers, and of course most of the names are not a surprise or news, but I was surprised to see Chuck Smith. Do you have any more info on his organization? Please let me know. Thanks.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Chuck Smith is the founder of the Calvary Chapels, which are located all over the USA. They are proclaiming once saved always saved and hurting many by doing so. His book on “grace” is where we got those quotes of his, which show his serious misunderstandings.

(EMAIL) I just had to write and thank you for helping me. I have been fighting shame and spiritual depression lately and your messages on God's word have been a light of hope. I got saved in 1978 and married a wonderful Christian lady in ____. Around ____ we became lukewarm in our walk and although in a church were not serving the Lord or most importantly staying in His word. (walking in His word or by the Spirit) This led to a subtle selfish falling away on my part over the next 10 years which culminated in an affair and a seperation with even more affairs and sin. In 1999 after many failed attempts to make our marriage work I finally left home and around 6 months later had a total broken-ness experience. I finally realized to my fear and terror that I wasnt sinning against my spouse but God alone. This started a breaking process that led me back to the Lord and back together with my wife and a restoration process through the Holy Spirit that enabled it all. Yet it still didnt really dig in with me about the importance of obediance until an event in 2004 when I read John 15 and 16 and was suddenly convicted about the premier importance of obeying...grace opens the door, but obedience proves the authenticity of our love for Him as our Lord. The reality that it isnt just grace that completes the process that shook my foundation and I started a deeper walk with God and re-engaged in a deeper way by emersing in His word and service to Him.

As you well know the more I learned Gods word and grew closer to Him the more and more I could see myself "in a mirror dimly" no longer. 3 years ago I had a meltdown over thanksgiving and felt lost and hopeless in grief. About a year later it came again... and then a few weeks ago it came yet again with an awakening each morning at 5 am with total clarity of my past sins and the feeling that I can never be forgiven for kicking Christ to the dirt for my selfish sins. My wife and I had a few months ago shared our testimony at church in a series the Pastor was doing on repentence. We are small group leaders and counsel couples who are going through the same struggles. God has redeemed many of them with authentic repentence to Him restored...which then led to their marriages being healed... Even during these great testimonial experiences and seeing Gods mirculous grace unfolding in them I would often sit there speaking Gods word in correction and encouragement and simultaneously feeling totally condemned by and in my own life... I love the Lord so much, and I feel such deep regret and remorse and yet I just cant shake this feeling of hopelessness and deep knawing depression that in his righteous judgement that He must cast me out. I am not oblivious to the fact that the devil rales my charges even greater when we are about the Lords work and I have rebuked him..but I also read Hebrews and tremble in shame over my wasted life and grief which I have brought the Holy Spirit. "oh wretched man that I am". I feel so lost when I awake and feel those condemning pangs start yelling at me... I feel fear of being seperated from Him and I cant bear it... I want so badly to just once hear Him say to me "that I was faithful" in anything..I just want to serve my heavenly Father and make up for the the things I let the moth destroy....not by law for dead works to redeem, but a desire to show my love and resolve to live by the Spirit.

I came across your teachings (backslider and many others) and for the first time in a long while feel a small glimmer of hope in the scriptures you have outlined that demonstrate God's great mercy that perhaps even a wretched backslider adulterer like me can be forgiven his wickedness if his heart is broken and sincere in repentence. The hard part remains facing myself..the closer I get to my daddy the more I feel shame as I see me like He sees me... how could I have been so wicked when He had given me so much. These teachings have been a light unto my feet of His undeserved mercy... Thank you so very much for fighting the fight in truth... there is so much of it lost in seeker theology these days and lives will only change if we seek God with our whole hearts in Spirit and in truth of His word. God bless you and I thank God for you...Sincerely,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Thanks for the kind/encouraging words as we are often attacked unjustly. It is wonderful to read that you have repented and encouraged by the truth. The entrance of God’s word brings light. While one must always be aware that the righteous can die spiritually by turning to evil, it is also true that turning away from evil to God will bring life again. God does want the backslider back.

It seems somewhat common that the devil must tell the backslider he can’t come back to God. Many have contacted us over the years thinking this way. The devil is a crafty, merciless enemy who watches for an opportunity to snare us. You must be in the Scriptures or he WILL deceive you. GUARD THE THOUGHTS YOU PONDER. Have you read this? http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/newconverts.htm

GOD BLESS YOU. Remember 1 Cor. 2:9 and Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) I am truly blessed to read your articles against once saved always saved. I praise God for your ministry. We have to continue to fight for the Truth. Don't ever let the devil slow you down. Continuing to spread the truth is a good way to stomp on the devil and make him mad. Praise God. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Thanks for the encouragement regarding our teachings. It is good to know you have been helped to some degree. Please get in the fight too. The need is great. The Calvinists are everywhere deceiving people about salvation.

Please pray for our ministry regularly. The devil attacks in various ways as we press on for the cause of God and refute doctrines of demons.

Do you have our books? Remember Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) The Lord has revealed to me that we do not say, "In Jesus Name" but rather we say In the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.....many today say in Jesus name and yet, there are many who have named their children Jesus, and there is one who's name was Jesus who was called Justus in Colossians 4:11. Rather, the disciples as an example said, the Lord Jesus Christ.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. No doubt there have been many who have been or are still called “Jesus,” but the context of what is being done by Christians is clearly Jesus, the Savior—not someone else.

It appears that you are trying to split hairs over nothing. Notice these two Scriptures:

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Phil 2:10)

But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus. (Acts 9:27)

If you are right, then why does it say, “the name of Jesus” in those places? Please spend your time and energy on other subjects which are more relevant to the will of God. God bless you. Heb. 3:14.

(EMAIL) Hello, My mother just turned Catholic a couple months ago; she started talking to me about praying to Mary. When I asked her why she was praying to anyone but Christ she said exactly what you said Catholics say! “We don’t pray to her, we pray through her... like when I ask you to pray for your sister!” It’s like they brain wash them into saying these things. She told me I was ignorant for not knowing the difference, and I pointed her to your web page. Thank you so much for displaying this so boldly, I’m sure you get a lot of hate mail. I just want to lift you up in Christ and let you know you helped me to have an intelligent and Godly response back that hopefully will help my mom. I appreciate everything you guys are doing, may God continue blessing you all for spreading the TRUTH! Thank you,

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Thanks for the words of encouragement. We have noticed that not only do some Catholics, but also some Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, SDA, etc. will try to deny what they actually believe at times! That is often their only defense when their doctrine is exposed and refuted.

It was very distressing to read that your mother turned Catholic. That is terrible and we sympathize with you. Oftentimes, Catholicism is presented as just another Christian sect when it is FAR from what others believe. For example: Catholicism has an ongoing sacrifice for sins through the mass, they think people get purged of sins after death in the fires of Purgatory, they think the priest changes the communion elements into the literal body and blood of Jesus and “worship” the communion wafer as God because of this doctrine. They also have, among many other strange beliefs, a fabricated Mary who is their sinless, ever virgin Queen of Heaven, who is the mediatrix and dispenser of “ALL graces.” She is also supposed to be “our life, sweetness and hope” as she is openly and regularly mentioned as such in the Rosary, another unique and unscriptural belief/practice of theirs. Catholicism has a false and dangerous plan of salvation which leads people to hell, even though they know Jesus is the Savior and Lord.

How sad so many so-called churches and ministries are not speaking out against these serious problems, as nearly 1 BILLION Catholics exist in the world. (Maybe God will help you do this very thing, now that your own mother has been ensnared.)

As a former Catholic, when I started to read the New Testament, I was thrown into confusion because what I thought was true was not only not true, but often the opposite of truth. If your mother has just been converted she will be very defensive because of her recent decision to join them. That is where a humble heart and one which is willing to admit error is needed to get free from such a snare. May God help you help her. Do you know about our book for Catholics, “Is This The Mary Of The Bible?” We also have various radio interviews on Catholicism, which are available on CD....

(EMAIL) Hello, my name is __________. I have been raised in a Southern Baptist church for about thirteen years now. I am __ and all my life I believed in the OSAS doctrine until about three days ago because I had been going much deeper into Scripture and was astonished at the solemn warnings Jesus gave and how everyone always has seemed to “accidentally” overlook them. I brought the discussion up and man, I tell you, they hate the idea of Conditional Salvation! It is like Satan to them! Someone went as far as to say it could destroy my faith if I kept it up (with me being against OSAS and my research with it). One had also conveniently said that Satan can use Scripture and twist it up and plant seeds in our heads (pointing to me). But I do not believe in the OSAS lie anymore. I’ve tried to show them warnings but they rationalize and generalize the Scripture citing all sorts of passages (ie…No one can snatch them out of my hand) and excuses (they must not have been saved to begin with.) In reality I gave up on my discussion… In my youth group it was 9 to 1. I wasn’t too happy about it. But now that I have seen the truth Scripture makes so much more sense to me. OSAS distorts Scripture and exchanges the truth of God for a lie. However as I know it, most of the ___ people that attend _____ Baptist believe OSAS and I am going to be hard pressed to get the truth to them. Your website has helped me see the truth more plainly and has given me the evidence to fight OSAS.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Your email was like a sweet sounding gospel song to us. We love it when another one has potentially escaped from the grace changer’s dangerous teachings. Your eyes have been opened, but you are still in a very dangerous environment because of their false view of grace and the gospel. I know you are young, but you really need to leave that church. That same congregation you are attending has distorted sin, God, the gospel, grace, righteousness, etc. They have to do those things as they avoid or twist HUNDREDS of Scriptures that teach a conditional security as they try to teach and defend their beloved “gospel,” which has no place for 1 Cor. 15:2:

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. (1 Cor 15:2)

It is wonderful that our web site has helped you ....We also have numerous tracts which are written to help eternal security people out of their doctrinal snare. You can also print some of these tracts from your computer printer for free http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/printfreetracts.htm

We believe that we are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8,9) but we can fall from grace (Gal. 5:2-4). We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1) but our faith can become shipwrecked (1 Tim. 1:19,20) and cease to exist (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23). We are not under the law (Rom. 6:14,15) but if you live according to the sinful nature you will die (Rom. 8:13). Paul taught against legalism (Gal. 5:3,4) but he also taught that no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God (Eph. 5:5-7). We are not saved by works (Eph. 2:8,9) but to reap eternal life and not destruction you must sow to please the Spirit and not the sinful nature (Gal. 6:8,9). God is faithful to us (1 Jn. 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13) but we must be faithful to him to the very end of our lives to escape the lake of fire or second death (Rev. 2:10,11). God surely loves us (Jn. 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39) but those who inherit the kingdom of God love God (Jam 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:9) and to love God means to obey his commands (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3). We have freedom in Christ (Gal. 5:1) but this freedom is not to indulge the sinful nature (Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet 2:16).

Here is a very important article for Christian singles http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/christiansingles.htm

(EMAIL) Saw your website. Great design and very well laid out with straight to the point information. Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds from what you have stated on your website that even if I have been saved that I can lose my salvation if I sin. Is this right?

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. There are three ways for a Christian to lose his salvation: certain sins, believing/preaching certain false doctrines and disowning Jesus. Since you specifically asked about sin, carefully read what we teach about it:

All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls. Some sins are greater than others (Jn. 19:11). One type is eternal (Mk. 3:29), while others are not. Another type of sin is uniquely against our bodies, while other sins are outside our bodies (1 Cor. 6:18). 1 Jn. 5:16 declares there is a sin that does not lead to death while there is a sin that leads to death. Sins such as worry (Phil. 4:6), unthankfulness (Col. 2:7, 3:15; Lk. 17:11-18) and not being completely humble and gentle (Eph. 4:2) are not included in any of the lists of sins that will send people to the lake of fire, even if they were once saved. However, other sins certainly will send any person to hell if they die unrepentant, even a person who was once saved. (See 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5,6; Jude 7; Rev. 22:15; etc.).

Please consider getting our 801 page book refuting eternal security entitled, The Believer’s Conditional Security. There is MUCH in it that can help you better understand this salvation related subject. http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/whatsnew.htm This book is the most exhaustive and comprehensive refutation to eternal security ever written. It has never been refuted and never will, even though thousands of Baptists ministers have it!

(EMAIL) To Whom It May Concern: I am in deep distress of soul. I was saved many years ago. I am now 70yrs old. I have been a homosexual for all of my life. I recently came back to God. I am struggling for faith to believe. I renounced my former way of life and came running back to God. I am very frightened. I try to read my bible but I cannot retain much of what I read. I recently had rectal polyps removed. The doctor said they were non malignant but I am having trouble having bowel movements. I have medicaid pending and I feel there is something more serious going on with me and they won't do anything until medicaid kicks in. I never stayed with the church long and I've never done much for the Lord. The world is so hostile and people frighten me. I want to glorify God through this but at the same time I am very frightened. I don't want to go to hell. If this be to my death I need to make a thorough confession to God and I don't know how. I pray and I cry out to God but I have no peace in my soul. Please help me to find peace and to let me know that God still cares even now as I am in great distress. Please pray for me. Sincerely

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. GOOD NEWS - Sure victory and forgiveness are YOURS, IF you repent (turn from your idols) and place a trusting-submitting faith in Jesus to OBEY HIM. (You seem close to this already.) Let me elaborate. It seems that you are very sincere, which is a MUST. HUMBLY (and sincerely) cry out to God and ask him for forgiveness of all your sins (Luke 18:13,14). Also ask him to change you and strengthen you spiritually. Such a sincere request means you are also going to make ALL the changes God wants in your life. You need to be DONE - FINISHED - with all wickedness. You are turning your back on your sins, which are dragging you to hell. You are now going to live for God and make your life count for him. It is impossible for a homosexual to inherit God’s kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9,10), but VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS (1 Cor. 6:10). People who were homosexuals before salvation were in that congregation (v. 11). They found eternal life and you can too!

When a person is willing to change like that (turn from sin to serve God), good spiritual things happen. After that go to the New Testament again and read through Luke and the rest of the New Testament. The Bible will be easier to understand. (Also read a reputable translation like the NIV, NASB, ESV, etc.). The KJV is too hard to understand. Change accordingly as you read. Your prayers will also take on power, unlike before.

The Bible is true, God is real and you have a SOUL, which will exist FOREVER. You are “wise” to draw near to God, according to the Bible. Please read this for more information on salvation http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/salvationps.htm

Please stay in touch. Beware of the heretical teaching of eternal security which falsely claims that one remains saved if he ever had a moment of faith. Remember Gal. 6:8,9 is a SALVATION passage not a rewards passage.

GOD BLESS YOU.

(SECOND EMAIL) I read your reply and I am very grateful for it. How can I be helped with the utter terror that I feel? As I've said before, I try to read the bible and I can't seem to retain much of it because of this terror I feel. I want more than anything in this world for Jesus to save me from the pit of hell, but I also know there is an enemy to my soul and he torments me night and day and sometimes I can scarcely move I am so frightened. I believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for me but I can't seem to get beyond the horror of eternal damnation. Whenever I can't think of how to pray I mutter the name of Jesus over and over again and I cry out for Him to save me. I don't know how to rest in Jesus and allow Him to take over my mind, my heart, my soul. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind. I have been so beat up by life and I hate myself for not staying within the protection of Jesus. To be perfectly frank I don't know how to trust Jesus completely and it scares me very much. I have trouble with Heavenly Father because of my earthly father. He died when I was very young and I felt rejection from the very beginning. I wasn't raised in a christian home and the bible is a new experience for me after being away from God for so long. Can you please have your church members pray for me. I grant you permission to have anyone from your church write and to share with me some of their own experiences and to encourage me. I sincerely want to give my all to God but I have difficulty knowing how to do that. I'm in serious bondage and I need your love and understanding and prayers. Thank you so much for allowing me to pour out my heart. I look forward to your reply. Thank You Sincerely

(SECOND RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. First, oftentimes we are contacted by people who think they have sinned too much — that God will never forgive them. This needs corrected! YOU are NOT beyond forgiveness! Two examples are Manasseh and David. For a loooong list of shocking vile acts of wickedness, please read what Manasseh did in 2 Chronicles 33. He was one of the most wicked people and yet he got forgiven! Another example is King David. David started out as a mighty example of faith and righteousness. Later in life he turned to adultery and murder. He too got forgiven. So STOP ALLOWING THE DEVIL TO TORTURE YOUR MIND. The devil is a liar. If God forgave them after they repented, he will do the same for any person who sincerely repents, including YOU.

Next, ponder the prodigal son. He deliberately strayed from the father and from his salvation into great wickedness. He got VERY LOW and wanted to return to the Father. The Father saw his repentant son and “RAN” to meet him!!!! This is God with YOU!!!!! The Son thought the Father would act differently, but he was wrong too. He got saved again. GOD WANTS YOU BACK LIKE HIM! Ponder that truth: GOD WANTS YOU. You have turned from wickedness, you are repentant, WHY do you think God won’t accept you? Answer: ONLY BECAUSE YOU ARE DECEIVED BY THE DEVIL. (Sometimes I have to be blunt to shake people from their terror.)

Get back in the New Testament. Try to read it now. Read through Luke. You can do it now. Ask God for help.

Part of my personal testimony includes the time shortly after I was saved. The devil tortured me too for about the next 6 months, even to the point of me waking out of a sleep and sitting up in bed in terror!!! I had to come to the place (LIKE YOU) that I believed the word of God over what the devil was putting in my mind. NOTE: The real truth is:

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:12,13)

Do you believe that? Your answer should be ABSOLUTELY YES. Well, if you have Jesus, you have eternal life (and salvation) now.

Read this http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/prodigal.htm and http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/backslider.htm

This link has many sermons and some music you can listen to, which will help you keep your mind on spiritual things http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/sermons.htm

You MUST believe the truth to be set free from these fears, since you have repented.

Have you signed up for our weekly teachings http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/contact.htm

Peace and God’s blessings on you. (We will pray.)

(EMAIL) I do not wish to debate you because I do not debate anything except Jesus.

You are sincerely wrong about your belief about the Doctrine of Eternal Security.

What are you trying to achieve by your assertions? There is no edifying in what you say.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. When we refute eternal security we are obeying what Jude wrote in verses 3,4 about contending against the grace changers. The Calvinists have laid a spiritual snare before all who believe their teaching. Besides destroying the fear of God and making people think they must sin, sin is not as bad as it really is, etc., they have also set people up for a fall:

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! (1 Cor 10:12)
