(EMAIL) I have reviewed only a few of the comments on the website concerning the on-going debate over the version of the Bible. Division is blamed on the KJV only proponents, and yet, as I sit in a class where five different versions of the bible are being referred to, one by every second student, it is obvious that not having a universally accepted version common to all is much more confusing than any word in the AV is. Also, the most dramatic point is being overlooked. It seems that difficult words are the basis on which we should move from the KJV, and yet no one is able to understand even one word of the scriptures without the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 2), and that this encourages the God given use of preachers, as it is they who help to unfold the gospel message to those who do not have the Holy Spirit. What a shame that we have overlooked the role of the Spirit, and now rely on the translating ability of the bible printer to ensure that people understand His word. Sorry...it is by the Spirit only.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Your understanding of confusion over different versions is not necessarily accurate. If those versions are reputable ones, perhaps a better choice of words would be alternative renderings. That is a very real possibility since many Greek words have more than one possible meaning!

There is NO QUESTION that many KJV words are not even pronounceable, much less understandable. You are trying to defend an archaic translation merely because of an old church TRADITION. It is NOT to one’s advantage to read from the KJV. Just the opposite, since such a person will NOT be able to understand what he is reading. Reading the KJV leads to frustration and error. To say the Holy Spirit gives understanding is not applicable here. YOU can NOT understand the KJV when you read it and yet you must claim to have the Spirit!

Even though one has the Spirit, if he is reading words he has no clue of what they mean, he will still misunderstand the original intent. If the Spirit of God was the cure-all, there would NEVER be anything but a perfect agreement among Christians, which is far from truth.

(EMAIL) Greetings in Jesus' name: I was curious about holidays. Has your ministry explored this subject much? Today's holidays are so secular and do not honor God, including the pagan traditions behind Christmas and Easter. However, to completely avoid them would make us out to be Scrooges, which is the opposite from the testimony we need to have as Christians. Any thoughts? Thanks and God bless.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Our society is pagan and most don’t know it. The holidays are proof. The most grieving holiday is Halloween. It reeks with wickedness and is getting more and more popular. If Easter is supposed to be connected with Jesus’ resurrection, then one must ask, what does hard-boiled and colored chicken eggs laid by a rabbit have to do with it!? [Rabbits don’t lay eggs!] There is no clue of Jesus being raised from the dead with that. Only Christmas has even a hint of the Lord Jesus, but it has been so twisted, many get drunk and do other immoral things on this day. When godless people look forward to Christmas, one can be assured it has nothing to do with Christianity. Hopefully, this has helped. God bless you.

(EMAIL) Question wanting your perspective for my study. I have long been taught that the Jews are God's chosen people. Yet I understand that they must accept Jesus. Some say that they can still follow the law and get to heaven. Please give me your understanding. Can a Jew today get to heaven without a saving faith in Jesus Christ? I look on your site and have not found anything on this.

Also having read your site and the information on KJV only has really got me to thinking. I use several different bibles and many writers in my study. Never considered myself guilty of KJV onlyism but maybe I am. I will be following up on that and want to thank you for your insight. I discovered twenty years ago that is is very easy to "follow man". Made many yet always want to live and teach the truth. discovered today "again" that I am still learning and am not afraid to correct my doctrine when I learn. Thanks

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. God’s chosen people NOW are Christians. The following were written to those who were Bible-defined saints:

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Col 3:12)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Pet 2:9)

Hence, it now means nothing to be born of a certain race or lineage, as far as having personal salvation. God looks on the heart and such is purified by faith in JESUS. If one doesn’t have a submissive faith in Jesus, he remains in his sins. Ponder John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 20:21; etc. Jesus called some Jews children of the devil (John 8:37-44). Rom. 11:19-21 says:

You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

I used to read the KJV and once thought it was the most accurate. It was a WONDERFUL spiritual blessing to change and understand what the Scriptures were saying.

(EMAIL) Just wanted to thank you for standing against the cultlike fanaticism of the KJV Only movement. I've been called a "Bible corrector" and a false teacher among other things. I used to pastor a church near you... A KJV Only Pastor in Waynesburg, whom I've NEVER met, had a girl at his church that used to go to ours. He told her I was a false prophet and that the church I pastored was a false church, simply because we used the NIV translation of the Bible. I am not opposed to the KJV, it is quite beautiful and is a good translation, but only a grand fool would deny that it is extremely difficult to understand in places. If I walked up to a person on the street and said, "charity suffers long" I highly doubt they would surmise that I was trying to convey that "love is patient." It is sad to me that so many would cause strife and division to support a translation as "the only real Bible" as one KJV Onlyite said. It is especially sad because history does not support their claims.... You are correct, the KJV is NOT the Bible, nor is the NIV or NASB, but all are simply translations of the Bible. Thank you for being a voice of sanity on this issue.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. Thank you for the kind words and personal experiences you shared on a raging issue in our day, which is clearly nonsensical and wildly bizarre! It is almost like the KJV Onlyites are drugged and unable to think. To them the chief mission is the absolute supremacy of the KJV, even over spreading the “gospel” message. One KJV Onlyite actually told us that the KJV Only message is more important than fighting/ refuting eternal security, which that person knew was heretical! Shocking! We too have been called various degrading terms like you have. Others don’t really want to help us win SOULS, even in this extremely dark day, because we are not KJV Onlyites! We have found them to be aggressive and grossly mis-informed. They have been fed half-truths and remain glued to a translation they can NOT understand and want all others to be hindered by it as well. We believe the KJV Only movement is “of the devil” to spread division and hinder people from learning God’s word.

GOD BLESS YOU. Remember 1 Tim. 4:16.

(EMAIL) I have listened to 6 or 7 or your radio programs where you and Kathy have discussed Catholicism as false doctrine. I understand that you both used to be Catholic and wanted to know what steered you both away from Catholicism? Thanks.

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. I can’t speak for Kathy, but with me as I started to read the Catholic Bible I could see the massive differences between what I was taught and God’s truth. The main passage for me was Luke 18:9-14. The man who was instantly justified and forgiven did NOT go to the priest or Mary to get forgiven. Instead, he went DIRECTLY to God in sincerity and humility. He got forgiven and didn’t have to say a number of prayers afterwards!

Another glaring error I noticed as I read the Bible was the lack of emphasis on Mary. The Catholic church I attended actually spoke more of Mary than Jesus! As the Bible says:

The unfolding of your words gives light.... (Psa 119:130)

As I read Scripture and Catholic teachings, it became more apparent the Catholic church was teaching a false plan of salvation, which included Mary. That info about Mary is found in the Fatima visions which are endorsed by Catholicism. According to them, Mary is “the way” to God. In contrast, JESUS is “the way” to God (John 14:6).

We have a book which can help Catholics find salvation entitled, “Is This The Mary Of The Bible?” Please consider getting a copy.

(EMAIL) Thank you for your ministry! You have opened my eyes to the truth of the Gospel and I am so thankful that God has led you to place videos .... without which I may still be lost in my sin believing the lies of satan's ministers. I am having difficulty finding a church that preaches truth and I thank you for your weekly emails of sermons and information you provide for people in my situation. I have no question or doubt that when I give my offerings to you in His name that they will be used for His purpose to turn people from their sins. It is a hard task to share truth with people who have been taught their whole lives that they can be saved and yet live in sin but your tracts make it so much easier to show people the truth straight from God's Word. You have my prayers and my support. May God richly bless you and your ministry that many more will come to know the truth!

(RESPONSE) Greetings in Jesus’ name. THANK YOU for the donation and kind words. It is GREATLY needed. We remain on the front lines with God’s truth. We are after SOULS and not to tickle ears with excuses for wickedness. This is VERY SERIOUS. What we are doing now will stretch throughout eternity. Your support and prayers qualify you to share in our spiritual fruitfulness. We are laboring with YOU.

Thanks for telling us about the videos. Please know these are available on DVD too and may be the best way to spread them to others since many can watch them on the internet. Again, thanks and God bless you.

Your desire and obedience to hand out salvation literature are also a GREAT encouragement to us. Too few who profess salvation are doing this. Following Jesus,
