Eternal Security
Debate
Challenge To
David J. Stewart
From Dan Corner
(To Be Posted Publicly)
Mr. David J. Stewart is not only a staunch eternal security proponent, he has terribly slandered me (Dan Corner) and misrepresented our holiness-endurance salvation message. He is also a poor researcher (or deliberate deceiver) trying to link me to Jesus Is Lord Ministries. (I have absolutely no dealings with that ministry, though years ago, I was on their broadcast for a short time.)
Mr. Stewart did a similar thing here. He wrote:
Here is a lengthy list of compromised, apostate, milquetoast, ecumenical, prophets of Baal that I wouldn’t give you a dime for...Bob Bell, Doug Sager, J. Harold Smith, James Dobson, Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley, Alistair Begg, Dennis Rainey, Ron Stewart, Chip Ingram, Mart DeHann, Steve Brown, John MacArthur, David Jeremiah, Steve Arterburn, Sam Polson, Dan Corner, Adrian Rogers, Andrew Wommack, Chuck Bentley, Bil Gephardt, Fredrick Brabson Sr., RC Sproul, June Hunt, Hank Hanegraaff, Joni Eareckson Tada, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer, Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and hundreds of others.
I have actually exposed and refuted about half of those people in our book refuting eternal security entitled, The Believer’s Conditional Security.
Among other bogus attacks, Mr. Stewart states that I am a dangerous false prophet and of the devil. David J. Stewart rants about eternal security and thinks such a damnable heresy is actually sound doctrine.
Christians need to debate such dangerous people, as David J. Stewart. Such was done in first century Christianity too. Hence:
I, Dan Corner, challenge you, David J. Stewart to a text debate on eternal security via 5 email exchanges (or something similar).
I propose the following details:
● Opening Statement to be no more than 1,500 words.
● After the opening statement, each party can attempt to rebut his opponent or interject new information relevant to eternal security with no more than 2,500 words per exchange. (We do that for a total of 3 exchanges.)
● Closing Statement to be no more than 1,500 words.
● We will have a total of 1 week for each segment to be completed. In other words, 1 week for the opening statement, 1 week for the first rebuttal, 1 week for the second rebuttal, 1 week for the third rebuttal, 1 week for the closing statement. In 5 weeks it will be over and will then be posted on our web sites to remain there.
Mr. David J. Stewart likes to hide. He has no photo of himself, and no physical address or phone number posted—only a contact form. (Does that sound like something Paul would do?) I can only try to reach David J. Stewart with this debate challenge through his contact form.
David J. Stewart, will you accept this debate challenge on eternal security? This doctrine has allowed you to slander me and deceive people.
NOTE: This debate is not on eternal security and/or any other subject, including KJV onlyism, but only on eternal security. (David J. Stewart was contacted regarding this on 12-30-08.)
