H

ow can Christians help Jewish people learn the truth about Messiah Lord Jesus and come to salvation? You may be surprised to learn that it is quite easy to plant important seeds of truth with them by using the following two passages found in their own Scriptures:

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know! (Prov. 30:4)

Observation: That Scripture is obviously referring to God, but also states that God has a son. (Who might that be?)

The next Scriptural passage to point out is:

Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him (Psa. 2:11,12).

Observations: (a) The sole object of our faith is to be in the Son, who is really God’s Son. (b) He is also our refuge. All are blessed to make the Son their refuge. (c) Finally, that same Son has wrath and anger that can quickly be flared to the destruction of people. Hence, he needs to be kissed. (For the Son to be kissed does not mean kiss a statue of him with our lips. We cannot and do not pass on our love to him this way. We show our love for Jesus by obeying his commands, John 14:15.)

Jewish people who reject the Lord Jesus as Messiah do not have God nor salvation:

No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also (1 John 2:23).

It is only possible to have eternal life by having the Son (Jesus of Nazareth). We need to make it personal. He must be our Lord and Savior. We must turn from our sins and submit to him or perish. It is only a trusting-submitting-enduring faith in Jesus that will save us from hell. This is a nothing less than a salvation issue:

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12).

Again, salvation is only found in the Lord Jesus (Acts 4:12) and we must follow him (obey) to be his sheep (John 10:27). He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and we are blessed to take refuge in him (Psa. 2:12).

GOD BLESS YOU.
