Witnessing To Jews The Easy And Effective Way

Witnessing to Jews is not as hard as you might think! In fact, all you need is a handful of verses to Christian evangelize Jews! If you are a Christian, read carefully and you may be surprised to learn that it is quite easy to plant important seeds of truth with them by using the following two passages found in their own Scriptures.

Proverbs 30:4

Christians witnessing to Jews need to remember Proverbs 30:4:

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of HIS SON? Tell me if you know! (Prov. 30:4)

OBSERVATIONS: That Scripture is obviously referring to God, but also states that God has a son. That is the first point - God has a son. (Who might that be?)

Psalm 2:11,12

The next Scriptural passage to remember when witnessing to Jews is:

Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss THE SON, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him (Psa. 2:11,12).

Compare Psalm 2:11,12 to Jer. 17:7:
But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him (Jer 17:7).
God is the one we are to trust in. If we trust in man as we should the LORD, we are cursed (Jer. 17:5), but Psa. 2:11,12 says we are blessed to take refuge (trust) in the SON.

OBSERVATIONS from Psa. 2:11,12:

(a) The sole object of our faith is to be in the Son, that is, God’s Son.

(b) He is also our refuge. All are blessed to make the Son their refuge.
(c) Finally, that same Son has wrath and anger that can quickly be flared to the destruction of people. Hence, he needs to be kissed.

Isaiah 9:6

This is a third passage which is also great, the the former ones should make an impact though:

For to us a child is born, to us A SON IS GIVEN, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isa 9:6)

The "Son" that was given was God's only begotten son (Jn. 3:16), the one we are to take refuge in (Psa. 2:12 cf. Rom. 9:33). Compare also Isa. 52:14-53:11 to Acts 8:28-8:35.

Find Out Who Is Jesus Christ

These truths alone are stunning for Jews and they are found in their own Hebrew Scriptures!

Getting back to the Son, for the Son to be kissed does not mean kiss a statue of him with our lips, as Catholics do. We cannot and do not pass on our love to him this way. We show our love for Jesus (the son of God) by obeying his commands, John 14:15. Jewish people, who reject the Lord Jesus as Messiah, do not have God nor salvation:

No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also (1 John 2:23).

It is only possible to have eternal life by having the Son (Jesus of Nazareth). We need to make this personal. He must be our own personal Lord and Savior. We must turn from our sins and submit to him or perish (Acts 20:21; Lk. 13:3,5; 9:23). It is only a trusting-submitting-enduring faith in Jesus that will save us from hell. To follow Jesus unashamedly is nothing less than a salvation issue:

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12).

Again, salvation is only found in the Lord Jesus (Acts 4:12) and we must follow him (obey him) to be his sheep (John 10:27). Repentance is implied. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and we are blessed to take refuge in him (Psa. 2:12). Is the Son your refuge NOW? If you are a Christian witnessing to Jews, or anyone else, point people to Jesus.
