16. It is not easy to enter God’s kingdom after death (Mt. 7:14; 1 Pet. 4:18). False prophets are one of the chief reasons. Such men and women are as dangerous to the spiritual sheep as ferocious wolves in the natural are to natural sheep.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them .... (Mat 7:15,16)
Learn to spot a spiritual ferocious wolf and stay away from such blind guides for your own soul’s sake.
17. One of Satan’s chief weapons is love. He used it on: (1) Solomon through his pagan wives to turn his heart away from God and to idols in his old age from which he never came back to God (1 Kings 11); (2) almost all Christians through their unsaved natural family members (and closest friends) as they try to turn them away from serving the Lord; etc. Ponder Mt. 10:34-38.
18. Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak (Judges 1:20) from Hebron. They were basically the reason why the children of Israel didn’t enter the promised land (Num. 13). Faith got the job done for him. The others had the same promises that Caleb had yet didn’t trust and missed out.
19. Paul didn’t witness to everyone the same way. In Acts 24:25, Paul discoursed on righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come to Felix, but at Pisidian Antioch his salvation message there was different (Acts 13:16-41).
20. A person must be a lover of the truth (God’s word) to find salvation:
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. (2 Th 2:9,10)
People don’t perish because they are not predestined by God for salvation, as Calvinism teaches.
