Spiritual Nuggets

To Ponder For 03-30-08

36. God fed the Israelites with Manna for 40 years. It was the same food and the same taste. In other words, it wasn’t very tasty to the flesh, but God wasn’t interested in that. He just wanted to feed them what they needed. People started to crave the tasty food in Egypt and actually wanted to return. It all started over the taste of food. Something small can lead to something very big and spiritually destructive.

37. The unsaved have ignorant bliss in their darkness and spiritual death. If they knew the greatest danger that exists (going to the lake of fire) is real in their case they would repent immediately.

38. Jesus had perfect wisdom, love and humility, yet started conflicts everywhere He went because of his stand for truth. Jesus is our ultimate example.

39. Paul wrote: “ ... we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor 10:5). This is a major reason why he was so fruitful. He took captive every thought.

40. Unsaved people can worship God (Acts 8:27) and fear God (Acts 10:4,35), yet be without the life of God.
