86. How often we have all heard, referring to even the obedient, that our righteousness is like filthy rags. It seems that very few know that phrase has been grossly taken out of context and misused by those who teach the security-in-sin gospel (the perseverance of the saints). Let’s look at the context:

You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved? (Isa 64:5) All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. (Isa 64:6) No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins. (Isa 64:7)

NOTE: The verse in question is Isa. 64:6. The context shows Israel was in sin at that time. The verse before and after both show that. Even more surprisingly, the last part of Isa. 64:6 shows they were in sin, but that part of the verse is never quoted for obvious reasons:

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. (Isa 64:6)

87. Have you ever noticed that the eternal security proponents are always looking for a verse from the Bible to justify sinful living? When they find one they can use, that is their proof text for this doctrine! That speaks volumes regarding what this doctrine really is—a license for immorality taught under grace.

They are constantly trying to convince the Christians they can turn to sexual immorality, theft, murder, drunkenness, etc. and remain a possessor of eternal life. That is their goal. May God raise up multitudes to stand opposed to this heretical fairytale taught as grace.

88. Prov. 11:4 says:

Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

The world system makes seeking after wealth the top priority in life. After all, they think if you have wealth you will have more creature comforts, amusements, exciting things to do, etc. as you spend that money.

Prov. 11:4 helps place all of that in its proper perspective. Wealth is only important here and will never deliver from [eternal] death. It takes righteousness to do that, which can not and has never been bought with money.

The Apostle John tells us who the righteous are:

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil (1 John 3:7,8)

Don’t let anyone deceive you about who is righteous.

89. There can be no doubt that the devil can be the cause of visions. One Scripture proving this is often overlooked and almost never quoted for support. That passage is:

The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. (Luke 4:5)

In other words, the Lord Jesus had a vision that wasn’t from God. The devil was trying to use such in his temptation. He has never changed regarding this.

May we all be very guarded from just accepting visions from the past to the future. If God speaks through such, His message in that vision will always parallel the message of Scripture. That is one of the ways we know for sure Catholicism, Mormonism, Seventh Day Adventism, the Moonies and others are not accurate. They have all accepted vision/s which dangerously contradict Scripture.

90. Is heaven reserved for only the 144,000 as the Jehovah’s Witnesses strangely teach? Never! Here is a clear verse regarding this:

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12:26)

The Lord promised his servants will be with him and he is in heaven. Hence, there will be many more than just 144,000 with the Lord. QUESTION: Did you notice, you will have to be God’s servant [slave] to qualify?
