Soul Winners

Rejoice!

Often, the soul winner will face discouragements, fears and rejections as he spreads the precious life-giving word of God to others. It is vital to walk by faith and look beyond such temporal opposition for the sake of SOULS. To focus in upon Scriptures, like the following passage, will help much:

Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets. (Luke 6:22,23)

To be rejected when evangelizing is GREAT NEWS for the servant of God, according to the Lord Jesus! Why? Because that form of persecution will bring a great reward—great enough that he should leap for joy. To ponder that fact will help the Christian to continue sowing God’s word to others. The mystery about this is, what exactly is that great reward? The Bible doesn’t say. The overcomers will just have to pleasantly wait to find out.

Have you ever wondered why those on the road to hell treat Christians, and their wonderful message, so badly? Here’s the answer:

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. (John 3:19,20)

Evil doers hate and love the wrong things! They love darkness and hate the light, the opposite of a Christian. So how bad is society—past and present—with that in mind? The answer is: Since the MAJORITY of people are on the road to hell and are also evil doers, then the MAJORITY of people love spiritual darkness (false doctrines, sin, etc.) and hate spiritual light (God’s truth and an obedient faith/commitment to the Lord Jesus). All Christians were there at one time, but God’s wonderful gospel, when received, changed things in the most blessed way.
