Do These Verses Referring To Those Who
Enter The Kingdom Of Heaven Describe You?

We can learn much by pondering the various ways the overcomer of Rev. 21:7, who inherits the kingdom, is described elsewhere in Scripture. This is also the person who gets on the road to life by faith in Jesus Christ and faithfully endures to the end to be saved. Dear reader, as you reflect upon the following, ask yourself: Are these verses, which refer to those who enter the Kingdom of Heaven, describing me?

These Terrifying Verses Describe Those Thrown Into Eternal Fire

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God (Mat. 5:8).

Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven .... Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock (Mt. 7:21,24).

And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved (Mt. 10:22).
He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me (Mat. 10:37,38, NAS).

Then the King will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me" (Mt. 25:34-40).

He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice" (Lk. 8:21).
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation (Jn. 5:29).
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (Jn. 10:27).
I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world (Jn. 17:14).

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life (Rom. 2:7).

The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Gal. 6:8-10).
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end (Heb. 3:14, NAS).

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9).

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? (Jam. 2:5).
Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death (Rev. 2:10,11).

But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Rev. 3:4-6, NAS).

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death (Rev. 12:11).

They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings -- and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers (Rev. 17:14).
If you didn't readily know these important verses, perhaps you need to spend quality time pondering and even memorizing them. It would also be good to share them with your friends.

Those Thrown Into Eternal Fire

Much to the surprise of many, Scripture does not say anywhere that the only ones who will end up in eternal fire are people who are murderers, bank robbers and the like. Many others will be there too! To learn the truth, read the following carefully:

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Mt. 7:19).

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mt. 13:41,42).

Then he will say to those on his left, "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me." They also will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?" He will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me." Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life (Mt. 25:41-46).
For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' (Mk. 7:21-23)
... those who have done evil will rise to be condemned (Jn. 5:29).
If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned (Jn. 15:6).
But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile (Rom. 2:8,9).
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:9-11, NASB)
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21).
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life (Gal. 6:8).
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person -- such a man is an idolater -- has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them (Eph. 5:5-7).
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars -- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death (Rev. 21:8).
Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life (Rev. 21:27).
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie (Rev. 22:15).
Multitudes in our day have been deceived by false teachers regarding how to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Dear reader, may you not be of that number. The Lord Jesus and His apostles taught we must get saved and faithfully endure to the end to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is only a trusting-submitting and enduring faith in Jesus that produces holy living and good fruit that will save from eternal fire.
