Godly Accomplishments WITHOUT The KJV (pdf)

Actual Terms Found In The KJV Bible

What you are about to try to read and understand are terms from the King James Bible, proving the inability of comprehending this archaic translation written in Elizabethan English.

*********************************************

How Could Anyone Understand This

Mingled people (Jer. 25:20) from the nethermost (1 Kings 6:6) ate snuffdishes (Ex. 25:38) and palmerworm (Joel 1:4) every quarternion (Acts 12:4). Their sheepcote (2 Sam. 7:8) were in shambles (1 Cor. 10:25). Naught (Prov. 20:14) to worry. We outwent (Mk. 6:33) to bewray (Isa. 16:3) the breeches (Ex. 28:42) with putrifying sores (Isa. 1:6) on the sackbut (Dan 3:5).

Beeves (Lev. 22:19) armholes (Jer. 38:12) and emerods (Deut. 28:27) canker (2 Tim. 2:17) the bald locust (Lev. 11:22) before horseleach (Prov. 30:15) broilered (Ex. 28:4) the calves of our lips (Hos. 14:2) and cast the same in his teeth (Mt. 27:44) burning ague (Lev. 26:16) and chalkstones (Isa. 27:9)! Besom (Isa. 14:23) liers (Josh. 8:14) girt (2 Kings 1:8) the hasty fruit (Isa. 28:4) while lapwing (Lev. 11:19) helve (Deut. 19:5) the hindmost (Num. 2:31) apothecary (Ex. 30:25). The ambushment (2 Chron. 13:13) cauls (Isa. 3:18) chapiter (1 Kings 7:16) from ambassage (Lk. 14:32) and his flesh pots (Ex. 16:3) freckled spot (Lev. 13:39) the mallows (Job 30:4). Then nergal (2 Kings 17:30) mufflers (Isa. 3:19) astonied (Ezra 9:4) the farthing (Mt. 5:26) flagons (Isa. 22:24) mincing (Isa. 3:16) mete (Ex. 16:18), maw (Deut. 18:3) and assupim (1 Chron. 26:15). Afterwards the college (2 Kings 22:14) oil tree (Isa. 41:19) was neesings (Job 41:18), plaiting (1 Pet. 3:3) pleasant plants (Isa. 17:10) and rereward (Number 10:25) ribband (Num. 15:38).

Moreover, the portray (Ezek. 4:1) bloody flux (Acts 28:8) botch (Deut. 28:27) his ossifrage (Lev. 11:13) while the pommels (2 Chron. 4:12) pygarg (Deut. 14:5) his victual (Ex. 12:39). Waxed rich (Rev. 18:3) caused a tender eyed (Gen. 29:17) unicorn (Numbers 23:22) to spikenard (Mark 14:3) the sabaoth (Rom. 9:29) the same time a cankerworm (Joel 1:4) cheek teeth (Joel 1:6) the exactors (Isa. 60:17). But that’s not all! The crisping pins (Isa. 3:22) fell out of the chamois (Dt. 14:5) fray (Jer. 7:33) engines (Ezek. 26:9) and succour (Heb. 2:18) the malefactor (John 18:30) into the lily work (1 Kings 7:19)!

For those who think this is but succothbenoth (2 Kings 17:30), vain janglings (1 Tim. 1:6) and superfluity of naughtiness (James 1:21), winefat (Isa. 63:2) and wist (Joshua 8:14) will unstopped (Isa. 35:5). Trow (Luke 17:9) the wreathen (Ex. 28:14) and gay clothing (James 2:3) over the clift (Ex. 33:32) and churl (Isa. 32:5) the checker work (1 Kings 7:17) down the firepans (2 Kings 25:15) and on hungerbitten (Job 18:12) hoar frost (Ex. 16:14). The latchet (Mark 1:7) to the lowering (Mt. 16:3) has occurrent (1 Kings 5:4) and even munition (Isa. 29:7). The mortar (Num. 11:8) pavement (Esther 1:6) is below the almug (1 Kings 10:12) and pressfat (Hag. 2:16) the sheaf (Gen. 37:7). Understandeth what thou readeth?

The KJB Is Incomprehensible

The following are actual passages from the KJV. KJV onlyism breeds frustration and ignorance of God's word. In fact, over the last couple months we spoke to 3 different KJV people claiming salvation from 4 years to "many years," yet none of them even read through the entire New Testament! Without question, the KJV will discourage and cripple personal bible reading, because it is not an English translation that can be understood.

Imagine trying to understand an important document with a word or two that you can't understand! That bit of misunderstanding could turn disastrous for you, but with God's word it is infinitely more important that you understand what scripture is saying. The KJV will hinder you to the point of frustration and hopelessness as the following few examples will prove. Try as hard as you can to understand the following and you still won't be able to:

O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. (2 Cor 6:11-13, KJV)
He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers: Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks. (Job 15:26,27, KJV)
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. (Prov 11:15, KJV)
In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind. (Isa 27:8, KJV)
For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. (Deu 32:36, KJV)
Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman. (Prov 20:16, KJV)
Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an EVIL EYE, neither desire thou his dainty meats: (Prov 23:6, KJV)
Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. (Psa 101:5, KJV)
Or if there be any flesh, in the skin whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white; (Lev 13:24, KJV)
And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. (2 Ki 4:38, KJV)
Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; (1 Tim 3:8, KJV)
Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. (Deu 32:14,15, KJV)
He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary. (Job 41:31,32, KJV)
...he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. (Prov 9:7b, KJV)
That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled! (Isa 18:2, KJV)
QUESTION: Do you still believe the KJV propaganda that even a 12 year old can understand the KJV? More important, why do KJV bible readers LIE and say they can understand the KJV? Don't they know all LIARS will go to the lake of burning sulfur (Rev. 21:8).

Godly Accomplishments Without the KJV (pdf)

The god of the KJB Repents of Evil!

If one would ignore all of the aforementioned and just ponder that Moses told God to repent of evil and God did repent, that should be enough to prove the KJV is fatally flawed:
Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. (Exo 32:12-14)
The kjv horribly misrepresents God as being UNHOLY for he is REPENTING of evil and REPENTING of evil and REPENTING of evil for hundreds of years making him a type of backslider -- from Moses day through Jonah's day. The aforementioned is from Moses' day, then we have:
The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD. (Amos 7:3)
And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. (Jonah 3:10)
Just on that wild blasphemy alone, without considering all the other many problems and errors in the kjv, that translation is disqualified as an accurate translation. You might be angry with those facts, but it remains the truth and will not change.

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? (Gal 4:16)

Did God Command Ezekiel to Eat Feces?

An atheist brought this up from the KJV as proof that God doesn't exist and the Bible is not true. Here is that verse:
And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it WITH dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. (Ezek 4:12, KJV)
His argument was: God told Ezekiel to eat feces. Hence, God doesn't exist and the Bible is inaccurate. That is inaccurate and a definite distortion. Maybe he wanted to criticize because of the word "with" in the KJV for it seems, as a possibility, to be saying human dung was to be mixed in WITH the barley cakes and eaten. Other translations clarify that:
Eat the food as you would a loaf of barley bread; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel. (NIV)
You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung. (NASB)
And you shall eat it as a barley cake, baking it in their sight on human dung. (ESV)

The KJV is not the Bible. The KJV is an English translation of the Bible. The "Bible" is
actually the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. The manuscripts we have
were translated in Spanish, French, Russian, Mandarin, etc., including English. The
KJV is just one of various English translations of the Bible, with the first edition
appearing in 1611; the KJV translation presents VARIOUS problems for the readers
besides being basically incomprehensible because of the archaic wording.

Was The Apostle Paul Rude

Only God knows how many KJV users have been misled by this verse:
But though I [Paul] be RUDE IN SPEECH, yet not in knowledge; but we have been thoroughly made manifest among you in all things. (2 Cor 11:6, KJV)
That verse should be understood in a much different way:
I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way. (2 Cor 11:6, NIV)
Paul was holy, righteous and blameless (1 Thess. 2:10). That is the man God used to write one half of the books of the New Testament. Paul was not "rude" in speech, as many ungodly people are in our day.

This Will Mislead KJV Readers

Rev. 6:6 KJV is very misleading and reveals yet another problem with the KJV. Compare and contrast how this important verse is stated in modern reputable translations verses the archaic flawed KJV.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a PENNY, and three measures of barley for a PENNY; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. (Rev 6:6, KJV)
The Greek term translated "penny" in the KJV is denarion and was given as a day's wage (Mt. 20:2). In contrast to a day's wage is a "penny". There is a big difference between the two. So, when we read Rev. 6:6 in the KJV, a "penny", as we know it, is basically worthless in our day and it is, therefore, easy to be misled by the KJV; Rev. 6:6 is implying a famine, not an over-abundance of food, which, consequently, would be the case if food were to be had so cheap, as the KJV implies.
Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for A DAY'S WAGES, and three quarts of barley for A DAY'S WAGES, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" (Rev 6:6, NIV)
And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat FOR A DENARIUS, and three quarts of barley FOR A DENARIUS, and do not harm the oil and wine!" (Rev. 6:6, ESV)

A KJV Contradiction - Was Ahaziah 22 or 42 when he became king?

Various reputable modern translations consistently read 22, as the NIV cites below:

Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother's name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri king of Israel. (2 Ki 8:26)
Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother's name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri. (2 Chr 22:2)
In contrast, is the KJV:
Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel. (2 Ki 8:26, KJV)
Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. (2 Chr 22:2, KJV)
This is yet another reason to stay away from the archaic KJV. There is NO CONTRADICTION in modern reputable translations. Muslims, and others who hate biblical Christianity and aggressive attack it (especially on college campuses), may cite the above 2 references FROM THE KJV, but not modern reputable translations, to present their flawed argument. (In fact, I recently had that thrown at me by a Muslim.)

IF You're Having a Hard Day Read these KJV Verses

If you're having a hard day and need a good laugh to lift your spirits, read these nonsensical kjv jewels:
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? (Ezek 13:18, KJV)
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. (Psa 22:20) Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. (Psa 22:21, KJV)
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: (Isa 3:16) Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. (Isa 3:17, KJV)
The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. (Isa 19:8) Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. (Isa 19:9) And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish. (Isa 19:10) Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? (Isa 19:11, KJV)
Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself. (Prov 27:16, KJV)
WITHOUT doubt the kjv is in a class of its own! Remember the kjv propaganda that even a 12 year old can understand the kjv. It is only because of LIES like that and church tradition that the kjv is even known in our day. Don't allow pressure from the kjv camp to hinder your comprehension of God's word anymore. Read modern understandable reputable translations.

BTW, if a kjv advocate tells you: "If you had the Holy Ghost and discernment you could understand the kjv", recognize that as a cultic trait for now they have made understanding the kjv a salvation issue since all Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 3:16,17).

"Easter" - More Trouble for KJV Only People

"Easter" is an embarrassing term that is only found in the KJV at Acts 12:4 and not in other English translations. The KJV has inconsistently translated the Greek term PASCHA as "Easter" and every other time as "passover".

In light of the KJV main attack against all other translations - "They left that word out" - at Acts 12:4 it severely recoils back on them. The term, "Easter" should be 'left out' of Bible translations. It is NOT a Christian term.

"The term Easter is not of Christian origin. It is another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen of heaven." [W. E. Vine, Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, Fleming H Revell Co., 1966 ed., Vol. 2, pp.14,15]
Easter and Ishtar (or Astarte) are related. That connects to this scripture:
The king [Josiah] also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption - the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for ASHTORETH THE VILE GODDESS OF THE SIDONIANS, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon. (2 Ki 23:13)
Finally, note the last five letters of Easter are ASTER. Compare that to the female pagan goddess, Astarte - the queen of heaven. Despite these facts, some still shamefully believe the KJV is 'inspired by God' and 'God's perfect bible'.

Even More KJV Confusion

In the KJV OT, Elijah is called Elijah and Elisha is called Elisha (2 Ki 2:9, KJV). However, in the KJV NT, both prophets have BRAND NEW NAMES; Elijah = Elias and Elisha = Eliseus!

But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. (Luke 4:26,27, KJV)
Furthermore, in the KJV NT Isaiah the prophet's BRAND NEW NAME is Esaias (Rom 10:16, KJV); while Jeremiah in KJV NT has TWO NEW NAMES - both Jeremy (Mat 2:17, KJV) and Jeremias (Mat 16:14, KJV)!

Can you see why many Christians believe the KJV is confusing and inconsistent on names (not to mention other areas of importance too)? So WHY are you struggling with such a frustrating and ERROR-RIDDEN putrid translation?

This KJV Problem Doesn't Go Away

The relentless, irrational and damaging KJV Only propaganda continues on to the hurt of sincere truth-seeking people. To struggle with this error-ridden, archaic KJV is to:

The KJV further unjustly inserted the word "the" before "way" (Acts 16:17), thereby rendering a demon possessed girl saying Jesus is "the way" to salvation, when she actually spoke out "a way", which is a doctrine of demons and in line with the demonic spirit speaking through the girl.

The common main KJV "missing words" argument, especially targeting the NIV, is illogically used to condemn ALL non-KJV translations, even the NKJV and MKJV, yet seemingly goes without notice! [FYI, those so-called "missing words" are cited in the NIV footnotes and not really missing. And more-importantly neither are they in the manuscripts upon which they are based. To jump to the Bible 'manuscript' debate issue is to further confuse the MANY 'translation' problems in the KJV using the TR.]

Finally, for YOU to be coerced, for the sake of man's acceptance, to cite such an inferior error-ridden and incomprehensible translation as though it were superior (after learning these facts about the KJV) is to be part of this serious ongoing problem - NOT the solution for the sake of the kingdom of God and SOULS. It also shows you to be a spiritually weak, man-pleasing HINDRANCE who the truth-seeking saints must get by for their own sake.

THE ULTIMATE NAIL: Before the KJV translation came into existence, for 1600 years:

* The Christian gospel was preached;
* The Bible was read and studied;
* Churches were established;
* Miracles occurred;
* People were filled with the Holy Spirit;
* God was worshiped in spirit and truth;
* Jesus was gloried;
* Many died and went to Heaven; etc.

Have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth (Gal. 4:16)? Don't be of the "SLOW BELLIES" (Titus 1:12, KJV). "CONVINCE THE GAINSAYERS" (Titus 1:9, KJV) to get off this KJV way and for your own sake - "QUIT YOU LIKE MEN" (1 Cor. 16:13, KJV)!
