It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter. Here Paradise is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good the design, and the glory of God its end.
It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents. [Found inside a Gideon's New Testament]
Have you ever wondered what a really holy man of God is like? If you have, look no further than Job.
One of the most relevant sections of the entire New Testament for those of us who have found salvation years ago has to be Revelation chapters 2 and 3. The reason for this is that the Lord Jesus Himself, after His infinite work at Calvary, is directing his truths to such church people. Again, these addressees are not new converts, but instead people who have been engaged in the Christian battle for some time—in some cases, perhaps, many years.
The Bible teaches before the rapture occurs, two things will transpire: (1) The [great] apostasy and (2) The revealing of the antichrist.

This letter from a staunch KJV Only proponent reflects how some KJV Onlyites have exalted one's view of the KJV to a salvation issue, which therefore makes it cultic!
If you think I’m being too harsh on these KJVO people to say they are in a cult, please ponder this fact—they have exalted the use of the KJV to a salvation issue. Some will openly teach it is, but others do it indirectly and in a way that is not clear to everyone.
Mingled people from the nethermost ate snuffdishes and palmerworm every quarternion.
This brief outline gives facts that the KJV Onlyites will probably never tell you.
A critique of Riplinger's scholarship and KJV Onlyism. Loaded with shocking information.
Should English-speaking people read only the KJV? Doth thou prefereth ye ole King James 1611? (An actual letter which we expanded upon for the WWW.) See also, Understandest what thou readeth?
How godly are you? This question, in part, is reflected by your attitude towards the Holy Scriptures. To be more specific, how much do you treasure the Scriptures? Much to the surprise of many, both the righteous and wicked have a definite attitude towards the word of God, though they are opposites. While the righteous love, treasure and believe the Bible to the point of putting it into practice, the wicked react the other way and sometimes violently.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16,17). Convincing proofs for the authority of the Bible as our standard for spiritual truth.
The early Christians knew that the final court of appeal and our absolute standard of truth is God's written Word, not some man-made creed or confession (2 Tim. 3:16,17). The Bible doesn't just contain the Word of God, it IS the Word of God! Jesus taught that every minute detail will be fulfilled (Mt. 5:18). It is truth (Jn. 17:17) and cannot be broken (Jn. 10:35). It is the ultimate source of truth on whatever it refers to, not just spiritual things. In fact, it is even called "the word of truth" whereby we have been given birth (Jam. 1:18).
