The Daniel Prayed POEM (pdf)

The law of the land was to pray only to the king or become lion's food;
That was an attack kindled by Daniel's enemies, who didn't have a clue.
But righteous Daniel living in Babylon itself, prayed to God three times a day;
When he learned of the new law, he continued to God Almighty, to pray.
[Dan 6:5-9; 6:10,13]

Daniel knew God was his strength and his prayers were vital;
Darius was only a feeble man though the King was his title.
Daniel feared not praying to God more than being cast into the lion's den;
Daniel was around 80 years of age when he was severely tested back then.
[Dan 6:6, etc.]

Our tests today, like for the prophet Daniel, can be a life or death matter;
And remember what happened to John, whose head was laid on a platter.
To save your life, at times, is the worst thing you could do;
You must remain faithful to the end be one of the chosen few.
[1 Thess. 2:4; Rev. 2:10,11; Mt. 14:11; 16:25; 10:33; 10:22; Heb. 3:14]

Daniel asked God for His help, knowing the power of prayer;
When Daniel was cast in the lion's den, God's angel too, was there.
For a whole night, Daniel spent his time with the beasts so ravenous;
They didn't eat him, but instead later feasted on Daniel's antagonists!
[Dan 6:22; 6:24]

Daniel remained unmoved during his dire plight.
It was on his knees that Daniel won the fight.
Learn from that holy man and conquer through God;
Prayer is the key to the miraculous and that's not odd.
[James 5:16b; Isa. 37:21; Lk. 18:13,14; etc.]

Our battle is spiritual and our weapons must be too;
Don't give up praying to God for his promises are all true.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective;
Act on God's word to benefit from his prayer directives.
[2 Cor. 6:7; 10:4; Eph. 6:10-20; James 5:16]

As Daniel prayed and prayed and prayed to God more;
You better too for painful testings and trials are in store.

From your heart pray in faith to God often or you'll be devoured;
A serious prayer life will help make you spiritually empowered.
[1 Pet. 4:12; 5:7,8; Jude 20]

Go to the miracle God to receive mercy and find grace;
Lean heavy on prayer always to succeed in your race.
Your weapon of prayer is feared by your enemy and foe;
Remember Daniel, follow his example and don't be slow.

[Heb 4:16; Dan 6:11; etc.]
