Robert Morris Gateway Church
Dispenses Spiritually Poisonous Teachings

Robert Morris is the founding senior pastor of Gateway Church, a multicampus church in the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas area with over 36,000 active members.

Gateway Church calls itself non-denominational, evangelical and charismatic, but the teachings there are deadly for your spiritual health, as will be shown.

Pastor Robert Morris has written various popular books and has a staggering spiritual influence over tens of thousands of people, but that is NOT good! Why? Because like so many others, Robert Morris denies the reality and lethal danger of spiritual death for the righteous who turn to evil. Robert Morris did that very thing with these words:

We don't lose our salvation, but we lose our close fellowship with God. Adam and Eve already enjoyed close harmony with God.
He hadn't withheld anything good from them. But when we sin, the sin muddies the relationship, and we lose the close relationship with God that we can enjoy. (Frequency, Robert Morris, 2016 ed., p. 144, emphasis mine)
Robert Morris and his Gateway Church have a false gospel and a dangerous message for his trusting followers! Robert Morris mentioned Adam and Eve, but neglected to say that DEATH came upon them when they sinned, just as God had warned Adam:
And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely DIE." (Gen 2:16,17)
What kind of death did Adam and Eve experience when they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? It surely wasn't physical, because they continued to live physically. It was spiritual death. Prior to that point, Adam and Eve had eternal life as they would have continued living throughout the eternal ages in sweet relationship with God, if only they didn't yield to temptation and eat the forbidden fruit. Unlike what Robert Morris would have us believe, they did lose their spiritual life over sin. That is another was of saying they lost their salvation and it happened quickly after their sin!

Robert Morris Vs The Apostle Paul

The gospel of Robert Morris doesn't allow for our conditional salvation with the description Paul gave of the gospel, that is, the real Christian gospel:
By this gospel you are saved, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. (1 Cor 15:2)
That was Paul's gospel, which he preached to the saints and it has conditional salvation written all over it. Certainly, Robert Morris would also deny certain salvation passages are really dealing with salvation, such as Gal. 6:8,9:
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
The subject there is reaping eternal life itself. That makes Gal. 6:8,9 a salvation passage, but we must not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest IF we do not give up!
That surely is not the language of eternal security or Gateway Church Robert Morris.

Sin is always downplayed by all of the once saved always saved teachers, Robert Morris sermons are no exception. How different their teachings are from God's final spiritual authority:

But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. (James 1:14-16)
Sin gives birth to spiritual death, as was the case for Adam and Eve (Gen. 2:17), the prodigal son (Lk. 15:24), the widows who live for pleasure (1 Tim 5:6) and all who wander from the truth (James 5:19,20)! That is always the case with sin unto death, but not all sin is of the same degree. Never forget that and don't allow popular Robert Morris pastor deceive you by misapplying biblical terms and taking scripture out of context.

Don't believe the religious myths of eternal security dispensed by any OSAS proponent including Robert Morris Gateway Church, who isn't hearing God, as he claims in the book title that you can! Robert Morris needs to read, The Believer's Conditional Security: Eternal Security Refuted before he gives another sermon; then publicly renounce his license for immorality teachings.
