A Christian Look At The Psalter of Bonaventure

The Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Catholic Saint and Doctor Bonaventure (1221 - 1274) is his version of the book of Psalms changed by his insertion of Mary. It is very revealing as it displays Catholicism's beliefs about her through Bonaventure.

The truth is, IF God wanted the Book of Psalms written the Bonaventure way, it would have originally been written like that, but it surely wasn't. Hence, The Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Bonaventure is not God's truth, but only Catholic Mariology and mythology -- pure soul poison -- though believed by multitudes.

The Catholic saint Bonaventure was canonized in 1482 by Pope Sixtus IV and declared a Doctor of the Church in the year 1588 by Pope Sixtus V. That shows even Popes believed what you about to read about Mary. Those same popes lived hundreds of years after Bonaventure showing their extreme view of Mary. Please also know Bonaventure's Psalter of Mary cares the "Catholic seal of approval", that is, their Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat.

The obsession with Mary has proliferated throughout Catholicism and has been rewarded, as shown with Bonaventure getting canonized and declared a Doctor of the Church. How such could be endorsed and exalted is almost beyond belief, but it has been by the Catholic Magisterium -- shocking, but dreadfully true!

Dear reader, BE WARNED: the following contains a false way of salvation and is lethal spiritual poison for the soul. Do NOT believe Bonaventure's Psalter (B. Herder Book Co., 15 and 17 South Broadway, St. Louis, MO and 33 Queen Square, London, W.C. 1932) even though it has been Catholic endorsed by their imprimatur and nihil obstat. Sadly, the following teaches salvation through Mary, who has even been exalted as God:

[Psalm 1] Blessed is the man, O Virgin Mary, who loves thy name; thy grace will comfort his soul.

[Psalm 2] May thy right hand protect us, O Mother of God: as a line of battle terrible in aspect, confounding and destroying them....Bless her with your whole heart: for the earth is full of her mercy.

[Psalm 4] When I called upon thee, thou didst hear me, O Lady: and from thy throne on high thou hast deigned to be mindful of me.

[Psalm 6] From the gate of hell and from the depths of the abyss: by thy holy prayers deliver us. May the eternal gates be opened unto us: that we may declare forever thy wonderous works. For it is not the dead, nor those in hell, who will praise thee, O Lady: but those who by thy grace will obtain eternal life.

Popes Taught Salvation Through Mary

[Psalm 11] Save me, O Mother of fair love: fount of clemency and sweetness of piety. Thou alone makest the circuit of the earth: that thou mayst help those that call upon thee.

[Psalm 14] O sinners, let us embrace the footprints of Mary, and cast ourselves at her blessed feet. Let us hold her fast, nor let her go: until we deserve to be blessed by her.

[Psalm 31] Blessed are they whose hearts love thee, O Virgin Mary: their sins will be mercifully washed away by thee.

[Psalm 34] Let us run, therefore, dearly beloved, and salute the noble Virgin overflowing with sweetness: that we may rest in the bosom of her sweetness.

[Psalm 44] My heart hath uttered a good word, Lady: it is sweetened with honey-flowing dew. By thy sanctity let my sins be purged: by thy integrity may incorruption be bestowed upon me.

[Psalm 46] All ye nations, clap your hands: sing in jubilee to the glorious Virgin. For she is the gate of life, the door of salvation, and the way of our reconciliation.... Have mercy on me, O Lady, have mercy on me: for thou are the light and the hope of all who trust in thee. By thy salutary fecundity let it please thee: that pardon of my sins may be granted unto me.

Testimony Of An EX Catholic Priest

[Psalm 48] Hear ye these things, all ye nations: give ear, all ye who desire to enter the kingdom of God. Honour the Virgin Mary: and ye will find life and perpetual salvation.

[Psalm 50] Have mercy on me, O lady: for thou art called the Mother of Mercy. And according to thy mercy: cleanse me from all my iniquities.... For I will confess my sins to thee: and I will accuse myself of all my crimes before thee.

[Psalm 59] O God, thou hast cast us off because of our sins: thou hast had mercy on us by the Virgin Mary. Intercede for us, O saving Mother of God: who hast brought forth salvation for men and angels.

[Psalm 62] Keep my soul, O lady: that it may never fall into sin.

[Psalm 68] Save my soul, O Mother of thy Saviour....

Bonaventure was canonized in 1482 by Pope Sixtus IV and declared a
Doctor of the Church in the year 1588 by Pope Sixtus V. Those same popes
lived hundreds of years after Bonaventure showing
the extreme view on Mary that continues on in Catholicism.

[Psalm 83] Honour her, O ye sinners: and she will obtain grace and salvation for you.

[Psalm 90] He who has placed his hope in her, will find the fruit of grace: the gate of paradise will be opened to him.

[Psalm 91] And he who shall bear the character of her name, shall be written in the book of life.

[Psalm 94] Come, let us rejoice to Our Lady: let us joyfully sing to the saving Mary, our Queen.

[Psalm 99] To them whom thou shalt help, O Lady, will be the refreshment of peace: and they from whom thou turnest away thy face shall have no hope of salvation.

[Psalm 104] Eternal salvation is in thy hand, O Lady: those who honour thee worthily will receive it.

Bible Questions For Catholics

[Psalm 105] The hope of the glory of Paradise is in her heart: for the devout soul who shall have honoured her.

[Psalm 112] Blessed be Mary, the Mother of Christ: for she is the way to the homeland of sanctity. Her throne is high above the Cherubim: her throne is above the hinges of heaven.

[Psalm 116] He who shall worthily have venerated her, will be justified: but he who shall have neglected her, will die in his sins.

[Psalm 118E] By thy ruling the world goes on: which thou together with God hast founded from the beginning. I am all thine, O Lady; save me: for thy praises were desireable to me in the time of my pilgrimage.

[Psalm 118F] How have I loved thy law, O Lady: it is forever in my sight.... Help me, O Lady of the world, and I shall be saved: and I shall meditate the honour of thy commandments.

[Psalm 118I] Salvation is far from those who know thee not: but he who preseveres in thy service is far from perdition. Thy mercy rules all things: O lady, in thy salvation quicken me.

[Psalm 129] Lead me unto the harbour of salvation: may my name be written among the just.

[Psalm 138] O Lady, thou hast tried me and known me: my ruin and my transgression.

[Psalm 149] City of God, be joyful in her: and for thy dwellers sing her a constant song.

The Catholic Magisterium is NOT Trustworthy

Go By The Bible Not The Psalter of Bonaventure

Folks, stick to the biblical message as it has been recorded and which focuses on Jesus, the true Lord and Savior of man. To believe on Jesus for your salvation means to obey and trust him 100%, placing all of your faith in him (with 0% in Mary). Never in any salvation teaching to the Jews (who had the scriptures), or others who had no clue of God's way, is Mary ever mentioned as having any role at all in salvation. Ponder God's truth:
I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. (Acts 20:21)
First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. (Acts 26:20)
All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him [Jesus] receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (Acts 10:43)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Mat 7:21)
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Mat 11:28-30)
As clear as the aforementioned are, the Lord's apostles confirmed them with these:
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope, (1 Tim 1:1)
for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, (1 Th 1:9)
We know that we have come to know him [Jesus] if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3,4)
Such eternal truths from scripture brought forth true salvation back then, as it will for you today. Act on God's word to be 100% safe. Reject anything that contradicts God written word, which is final spiritual authority and the basis of all true Christian teachings (2 Tim. 3:16,17).

The Mary Fantasyland Poem

In contrast to Catholicism, the real focus in heaven is God and Jesus (Acts 7: 56; Heb. 1:3; Rev. 4:2-10; 5:6-14; 7:9-12; 7:15-17; 19:4-7; 21:3-7; 22:1-3; etc.). Never is Mary the focus. There is no Queen in heaven. Mary has no throne in heaven, though there are 25 thrones (Rev. 4:4). Mary's name is not even on the 12 gates or 12 foundations of New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:12,14).

As shown in Bonaventure's Psalter above and even in the official Catechism of the Catholic Church, Mary is wrongly taught as the focus in heaven:

1053 "We believe that the multitude of those gathered around Jesus and Mary in Paradise forms the Church of heaven, ..."
With the writings of Alphonsus Liguori, who quotes Catholic saints from centuries earlier, such distortings about Mary have been commonplace and central in Catholicism for many centuries. That is why we even see images of Mary on a throne with Jesus, who has been reduced to either a baby or a young boy, on her lap. Such misleading images have not be denounced or forbidden in Catholicism, as they too help with this ongoing disception.

The Mary of Catholicism as reflected in Bonaventure's Psalter (and elsewhere) is a complete fantasy and is idolatrously different from the real Mary of the Bible. Shamefully, the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary has helped with that ongoing lethal Mary fantasy throughout Roman Catholicism even to this day.
