For WE WHO ARE ALIVE are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. (2 Cor. 4:11)Notice the phrase, "we who are alive". It can't be referring to physical life, since we all have physical life. It is referring to spiritual life, which "FEW" have (Mt. 7:13,14). Do you remember:
But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead." (Mat. 8:22)The lost are the spiritually "dead" in that verse and only the saved, that is, the bible-defined Christians are those "who are alive" in 2 Cor. 4:11, as well as here:
And he died for all, that THOSE WHO LIVE should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Cor. 5:15)

QUESTION FOR CATHOLICS and OSAS PROPONENTS: IF a Christian exchanged JESUS, who is the Christian's true "life, sweetness and hope" (Col. 3:4; Mt. 11:29; 1 Tim. 1:1), for the Catholic fantasy Mary instead as their "life, sweetness and hope", as declared in the Rosary, can that person still be a Christian?

OSAS proponents want us to believe, 1 Cor. 5:5 refers to a SAVED person who was living in terrible sin (1 Cor. 5:1)!
***That person is called "WICKED" (1 Cor. 5:13) and WILL GO TO THE FIERY FURNACE based on the usage of the same Greek word (Mt. 13:49-50) - that is, unless he repents.
ALSO, to say the person of 1 Cor. 5:1-5 was "saved" is to also say there are Christians committing sin that even pagans don't commit:
It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife. (1 Cor 5:1)Such is an OSAS so-called "CHRISTIAN" - even more proof that OSAS is a LICENSE TO SIN.

We have found this man to be a TROUBLEMAKER, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect (Acts 24:5).FYI: The Greek word translated "TROUBLEMAKER" means PESTILENCE. That is what they considered the mighty Apostle Paul! Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. (Col. 4:7)
I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. (2 Tim. 4:12)(Timothy, Titus, Tychicus (and Trophimus) all served God with Paul and their names all started with T.)

EPAPHRAS, MY FELLOW PRISONER in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. (Philemon 1:23)Both Aristarchus and Epaphras must have been wonderfully godly to spend time in prison with the Apostle Paul. Epaphras was the one used to win the Colossian Christians to the Lord (Col. 1:7).
BTW, Silas was beaten and put in prison along with Paul too (Acts 16:22-24). Such is a tiny glimpse of our dear family from first century Christianity and what their earthly lives were like. WOULD YOU HAVE JOINED THEM BACK THEN, IF YOU COULD HAVE?
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isa 40:28,29)

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Mat. 6:31-33)

Spiritually lost people are not light but, darkness (Mt. 6:23; Jn. 1:5; Eph. 5:8). Christians are light in the Lord, because within them is JESUS, who is their life, light, etc. - Jn. 1:4; 8:12; 12:36; etc.

In the same epistle, Paul taught:
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:26).
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal. 6:8-9)***A saving faith in Jesus "works", but we are saved by 100% faith and trust (a SUBMISSIVE faith and truth) in JESUS, the Savior. James said faith without works is DEAD - not a saving kind of faith, but the faith of demons (James 2). Also, the saving faith of a real Christian can cease to exist and become shipwrecked (Lk. 8:13; 2 Tim. 2:18; 1 Tim. 1:19; Rom. 11:20-22). It, therefore, needs to protected and maintained:
holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith. (1 Tim 1:19)
...do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. (1 Tim 5:22)In fact, many professing Christians have less than demon faith; demons fear God and SHUDDER, while many professing Christians do not!
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder. (James 2:19)

We are not to IGNORE a false teacher. Instead, we are to expose and refute him with scripture. In fact, that is an essential ability for spiritual leadership:
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. (Titus 1:9)
