He then wrote more scripture (2 Peter), and he showed no remorse over disowning Jesus 3 times in the past. He apparently knew - when sins are forgiven, God also FORGETS about them:

No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." (Jer 31:34)[BTW, God also let Paul know when he was about to die (2 Tim 4:6).]

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as THERE WILL BE FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU. I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. FOR SUCH PEOPLE ARE NOT SERVING OUR LORD CHRIST, BUT THEIR OWN APPETITES. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. (Rom 16:17,18)

Furthermore, people assume that such an event - such a treaty - would surely be covered by the news. Know that the "news" is not really the news. Deceit is prospering (Dan. 8:25). Many important end-times events surely occurred, especially in the Middle East, which we never heard of.

But the widow who LIVES FOR PLEASURE IS DEAD even while she lives. (1 Tim 5:6)Scripture warns about riches. One of the dangers of having a lot of money is to selfishly live for the pleasures money can buy, instead of living for JESUS (2 Cor. 5:15). How exactly the unnamed widows of 1 Tim. 5:6 lived for pleasure is a mystery.
Moreover, Luke 8 includes riches and the pleasures of this life amongst the thorns that can choke out fruitfulness.
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. (Lk. 8:14)To "eat, drink and be merry" is a worldly - broad-road philosophy, as the rich fool had.

Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair. So the sisters sent word to Jesus, "Lord, the one you love is sick." When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days. (John 11:1-6)Jesus stayed away to let Lazarus die, which brought great emotional pain to his sisters, Mary and Martha. Jesus wept (Jn. 11:35) with them, even though he knew Lazarus would be resurrected from the grave 4 days later. Because of that outstanding miracle, we read:

So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him. (John 12:10,11)

"But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST, fulfill your ministry" (2 Timothy 4:5).On a side note: many pastors despise the idea of going out soul-winning, preferring the congregants to bring potential members/converts into their building. Yet, the Apostle Paul's pastoral epistle to Timothy (letter on how to be a pastor) contained the command to do the work of an evangelist.
The Point: ALL Christians have been commanded to "go" with the gospel. If you have been timid in this area, you need to repent, ask God for help, power and just start doing it. Don't be afraid if someone asks a question; tell them to consult the tract or that you will get back to them via email, etc. We all have to start somewhere. Sound gospel tracts can serve as the icebreaker and are great stand alones. You could extend a tract and ask: "Have you gotten one of these yet? "Consider also:
Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done? (Prov 24:11,12)

The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John [the Baptist]; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it. (Lk. 16:16)** We are no longer under the ceremonial or dietary laws, BUT WE ARE STILL UNDER THE MORAL LAW. You can eat pork, you can pick any day you want to set apart as special to the Lord, BUT you cannot steal, lie, practice magic, hate, murder, lust, fornicate, commit idolatry, covet, etc.
When you are contending for the faith (Jude 3,4), remember that point when the grace changing OSAS proponents retort that "we are no longer under the law". They are confusing and distorting what it means to "no longer be under the law":
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:19-21)

Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood. (Exo. 7:20) The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt. (Exo. 7:21) BUT THE EGYPTIAN MAGICIANS DID THE SAME THINGS BY THEIR SECRET ARTS, and Pharaoh's heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said. (Exo. 7:22)The above phenomenon could have been scientifically substantiated as a MIRACLE, but when the sorcerers did it (Ex. 7:22), it was a miracle by demonic power!
**Just because a miracle occurs, that doesn't mean God is the supernatural force behind it. You MUST examine the message associated with the miracle to see if it parallels scripture or not.

If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways SO I MAY KNOW YOU AND CONTINUE TO FIND FAVOR WITH YOU. Remember that this nation is your people. (Exo. 33:13)A most unique detail about God was afterwards revealed to Moses:

He [Moses] chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall. (1 Cor. 8:7-13)

Hence, just like with the eternal security proponents, the "Twice Lost, Always Lost" people teach backsliders into drunkenness, sexual sin, drugs, pornography, murder, etc. remain saved, when scripture teaches they DIED SPIRITUALLY.
They would claim salvation continued on for both David and Peter, even while both were in wickedness and before their repentance.
If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, he will DIE for it. (Ezek. 33:18)
but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to DEATH. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. (James 1:14-16)
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. (Eph 5:5-7)**Both David and Peter fell away for a time, but repented and became alive again (like the prodigal, who repented - Lk. 15:24); Both the OSAS and the Twice Lost Always Lost advocates are unable to teach that David and Peter were lost and on the road to hell in their backslidden condition. Hence, they both teach a license to sin.
On a side note: Three passages that readily prove that one can indeed be saved more than once are the following: Luke 15:24; James 5:19,20; and Romans 11:19-23. Be encouraged and read about the return to salvation of the prodigal son. (Audio messages are included.)

Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter THINGS HIDDEN SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD." (Mat. 13:34-35)PARABLES are a unique treasure of God's hidden truth - revealing the secrets of the kingdom. While those truths ("secrets") are revealed to the saints, they remain "veiled" to the lost, just like other spiritual truths (2 Cor. 3:14-16), but parables are still unique:
This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, MANY PROPHETS AND RIGHTEOUS MEN LONGED TO SEE WHAT YOU SEE BUT DID NOT SEE IT, AND TO HEAR WHAT YOU HEAR BUT DID NOT HEAR IT. (Mat. 13:13-17)[BTW, Matthew 13 has various parables in that one chapter.]
Remember: When you forgive people who sin against you,
IT WILL BENEFIT YOU (Mt. 6:14,15)!
"I [JESUS] will show him [Paul] how much he must suffer for my name." (Acts 9:16)
...I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me. (Acts 26:17,18)
And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, " Let all God's angels worship him." (Heb. 1:6)**NOTE: the same Greek word translated "WORSHIP" in Heb. 1:6 is also used here:
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'WORSHIP the Lord your God and serve him only.'" (Luke 4:8)
Furthermore, IN HEAVEN, Jesus receives equal praise and worship with the father (Rev. 5:12-14), and angels refuse worship and say "WORSHIP GOD" (Rev. 19:10; 22:9). In contrast, Jesus receives worship, and the same angels, who rebuked John saying 'WORSHIP God', WORSHIP Jesus (Heb. 1:6)!
Strangely, the SDA people think Jesus is Michael and God too, but never thought that out. Michael the archangel is a created being, while God is eternal proving their dogma is wrong - even impossible.

They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert. (1 Cor 10:3-5)
