We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). IF you do that, it will be apparent you are heavenly-minded.
QUESTION: Were the Lord's apostles of any earthly good, as they heroically spread God's word, even after being threatened, beaten, jailed and seeing righteous people martyred for the faith? Ponder the good God accomplished through Paul's ministry, as he (and his co-laborers) persevered:
Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, YET MAKING MANY RICH; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. (2 Cor 6:4-10)**They were made "rich" spiritually, because they had the Lord Jesus Christ in salvation.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, SET YOUR HEARTS ON THINGS ABOVE, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE, NOT ON EARTHLY THINGS. (Col 3:1,2)

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels WITHOUT KNOWING IT. (Heb 13:2)**It is possible that we have encountered an angel of God at one point and without realizing it?

He [Cornelius] and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. (Acts 10:2)He needed to this gospel truth about the Lord Jesus:

Believing (trusting in, submitting and clinging to) in Jesus was the vital salvation truth that Cornelius was lacking, yet that salvation requirement is not explicitly stated in Matt. 25:41-46. Acts 10 is a prime example proving that: ALL SCRIPTURES ON ANY SUBJECT MUST BE EXAMINED - NOT JUST ONE PASSAGE - IN ORDER TO LEARN A TOPIC, ESPECIALLY CONCERNING SALVATION.

Mark 13:24-27 mentions the "elect" (another word for Christians) being "gathered" from earth to heaven (1 Thess. 4:16,17; 1 Cor. 15:51-53; 2 Thess. 2:1-3) and not the reverse, which would be the Lord's bodily return to earth WITH the saints to the Mt. of Olives (Rev. 19:19-21 cf. Zech 14:4 ; Acts 1:11).
*Since Christians are spared from the wrath of God (1 Thess. 1:10; etc.) and since God's wrath arrives at Seal #6 (Rev. 6:16,17), then we know Seals #1 through #5 are NOT his wrath and must be the description of the tribulation period. We are in the seals now - the tribulation period, which intensifies. See Seals #4 and #5. Note: the main focus of end time scripture is the Middle East and not the USA. Remember Rev. 12:11.
Note also: the word revelation is translated from the Greek word apokalypsis. The four horsemen of the Apocalypse, who keep on riding, are outlined in the first 4 seals of Revelation chapter 6.

Just like smoke is an indication of fire, good deeds can be an indication of saving faith, IF that person is living holy. [In the natural, a house burns down because of the fire, not the smoke, though the fire has smoke.]
Jesus is THE SAVIOR, and all 100% of our faith and trust for salvation is to be in him alone, leaving NONE OF IT (0%) in our faithful obedience. We are not saved by the Lord Jesus 50% and 50% in our good works.

In Acts 15, the Gentiles were directed to a different message than the one given to Moses (Acts 15:19-29). The whole epistle of Galatians is related to the circumcision problem that existed back then, with these verses being noteworthy:
