WOMEN SHOULD REMAIN SILENT IN THE CHURCHES. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, THEY SHOULD ASK THEIR OWN HUSBANDS AT HOME; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. (1 Cor 14:34,35)NOTE: women did indeed pray and prophesy in church (1 Cor. 11:5; 11:13). Hence, in a particular way, were women to be "silent" - that is, by not asking their husbands questions during church. Wives were to wait and ask their husbands their questions at home, rather than interrupting the church service with them. Again, woman DID speak, for they prayed and prophesied in church.

The takeaway of the above passage is that the unsaved at the point of Jesus' coming will be just as unaware as the wicked were about the Great Flood in Noah's day.
It also implies that not all those on the globe will suffer the same intensity, as some of the righteous will be hand grinding grain with unbelievers at the rapture.
All the trees of the field will know that I the LORD bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it. (Ezek 17:24)
Catholics, Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, etc. need to recognize their many sins and need to humbly GO TO JESUS FOR FORGIVENESS, like the woman in Luke 7:37-50 who did and got forgiven. Place all your faith and trust in JESUS (Jn. 3:18; 1 Pet. 2:6; etc.) as you obey.

The MAJORITY at Sardis, IN FIRST CENTURY CHRISTIANITY, "soiled" their spiritual clothes and were NO LONGER "WORTHY" to walk with Jesus at that point! **However, REPENTANCE was held out to them (3:3), and the Lord's message there is the same as to all the churches (3:6). He shows NO PARTIALITY with anyone.

We are all here!" (Acts 16:27,28)ANSWER: The following is what happened to the guards when Peter escaped from jail and the same fate probably would have happened to the jailer too:
In the morning, there was no small commotion among the soldiers as to what had become of Peter. After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross-examined the guards and ORDERED THAT THEY BE EXECUTED.... (Acts 12:18,19)(IF they were tortured and/or shamed with that execution, we do not know, but the jailer must have thought suicide was the better way than their execution.)

By comparing scripture with scripture, we learn that notion is false. Note: Lk. 14:33 states the condition to be Jesus' disciple. Then, we have this next verse:
and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home. (John 19:27)Jn. 19:27 shows a disciple also had a home, and Mat 27:57 also demonstrates it is possible to be rich and be a disciple of Jesus. Remember, Abraham was rich, but was willing to sacrifice his son of promise (Isaac). Abraham put God FIRST in obedience, and we must too (Lk. 14:26,27; Mt. 10:37,38).
Moreover, Mary and Martha hosted a dinner for about 75 people in their home (Lk. 10:40), and Mary brought an expensive bottle of perfume, worth a year's wages, and poured it on Jesus' head. (Mk. 14:3) Apparently, they had some wealth too, yet were Christians.

Moreover, that would be communing with the dead - necromancy, and hence, a practice of the magic arts.
Moreover, the road to life is difficult (Mt. 7:24), apparently so difficult that even though Jesus is praying for us, MANY STILL FALL AWAY. GUARD your pondered thoughts carefully for they will affect your behavior (Rom. 8:5; Heb. 11:15,16; etc.).

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 5:9)While the above point is true, the wrath of God doesn't arrive until Seal #6, which is outlined in Rev. 6 with the bowls of wrath, coming AFTER the Post-Trib rapture. See Rev. 16.
God's faithful children will be spared from God's wrath, but first, they will have to endure the Tribulation, which is the devil's wrath or fury (Rev. 12:12); it is our test.
RECAP and KEY VERSES: The RAPTURE/ First Resurrection occurs at Seal #6, which is the same as the 7th Trumpet of Rev. 11:15, aka the "last trump" of 1 Cor. 15:52, and it is also mentioned in Rev. 10:7 as the "mystery" being complete. What mystery? We will not all die physically and we will get a new resurrection body!
The devil has intimidated some people, including Christians, into believing that "we cannot just read the Book of Revelation and understand it" - which notion explains so many, in this hour, going outside of the Bible to all sorts of teachers to "interpret" it and "explain" it for them - very dangerous, rather than digging, searching and pondering the scriptures themselves.
**Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (Rev. 1:3)
IDOLATRY from the Past (Artemis) to the Present (the Catholic fantasy Mary)
"And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that MAN-MADE GODS ARE NO GODS AT ALL. There is danger not only that our trade will lose its good name, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be discredited, and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty." When they heard this, they were furious and began shouting: 'GREAT IS ARTEMIS OF THE EPHESIANS!' "(Acts 19:26-28)
**In the SAME CITY (Ephesus) several hundred years later, the fantasy Catholic Mary was given the title "Mother of God". It happened at The First Council of Ephesus, held at THE CHURCH OF MARY in 431!
