Amos answered Amaziah, "I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, 'Go, prophesy to my people Israel.' Now then, hear the word of the LORD. You say, "'Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac.' "Therefore this is what the LORD says: "'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will certainly go into exile, away from their native land.'" (Amos 7:10-17)That one passage shows a small part of the earthly life of God's prophet (Amos): enemies, resistance and relentless opposition over his unpopular message from God. NEVER was this life a 'bed of roses' or a 'life of ease'. The same is true for the godly. See 1 Cor. 15:19.
Contrary to the real life of Christians, as depicted in the NT, especially in Heb.11:35-39, is the false prosperity gospel.
If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied
more than all men. (1 Cor 15:19)Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rom 12:21)
JWs do NOT proclaim that JESUS is: ETERNAL LIFE (1 Jn 1:2); the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Rev. 17:14; 19:16) or the possessor of ALL POWER/Authority on earth and in heaven (Mt. 28:18). CHRISTIANS HAVE NO PROBLEM PREACHING THESE TRUTHS, but JWs are different because they are not saved: They do not have Jesus; they do not have Eternal Life.

For the Philippian jailer that happened from midnight to daylight (Acts 16:31-35). Again, Jesus' spiritual family are his disciples:

The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. (Acts 11:26)Judas Iscariot was specifically named as a disciple of Christ (Mt. 10:1-4). Judas was indeed a disciple - a Christian at an early point!

The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the brothers VERY GLAD. (Acts 15:3)Godly people get VERY GLAD over news that others have been saved - even the lowly Gentiles! A similar statement is the following, likewise reflecting the godly desire to see something spiritual:
I have NO GREATER JOY than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. (3 John 1:4)

He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. (1 Tim 3:6)What was the "condemnation" (or judgment) of the devil? The devil once was the created, anointed, guardian cherub (singular for cherubim), who was once blameless and perfect in beauty (which caused his pride); yet, wickedness was found in him, and he was thrown to the earth (Ezek. 28:12-17). In other words, he was EXPELLED FROM HEAVEN over the sin of pride, i.e. he lost his salvation.
1 Timothy 3:6 shows the possible LETHAL SPIRITUAL DANGER that a new convert to Christianity could be subjected to, IF he was placed in such an exalted position - in spiritual leadership as an overseer. Such disaster would be impossible if OSAS were true, thus again falsifying that prevalent doctrine with scripture.
**The devil was already in heaven and lost it over SIN. There was NO OSAS for him and there is none for you - be NOT deceived.
In fact, EVERYONE who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus WILL BE persecuted, (2 Tim 3:12)...our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (Rom 13:11)

In BOLD STARK CONTRAST, was the PRECIOUS and SINLESS Lord Jesus Christ, who was not beautiful.
He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. HE HAD NO BEAUTY OR MAJESTY TO ATTRACT US TO HIM, NOTHING IN HIS APPEARANCE THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE HIM. (Isa 53:2)Physical beauty cannot be the criterion of high value and worth, as exalted by the world. Christian singles learn a lesson from these truths.

And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not . (Mal 3:14-18)That passage is very similar to:
We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. Asaph, the writer of Psalm 73, almost backslid when he envied the "prosperity of the wicked" (Psalm 73)! Note:
When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. (Psa 73:16-18)Finally, the grace changers of Jude 3,4 do that wicked teaching for MONEY:

The word blameless appears numerous times throughout the Scriptures, in reference to those who will actually make a final entrance into heaven. It is easy to overlook this detail (a very crucial detail) when reading the Bible. Some of these other references for you to examine are: 1 Th. 2:10; 1 Th. 5:23; Psa. 37:18,37; Psa. 119:1; Phil. 2:15; 1 Cor. 1:7-8 and Col. 1:22, etc.

**Similarly, LUKEWARMNESS is contagious too! That happened at Laodicea; the whole congregation became lukewarm and was told to REPENT and be zealous (Rev. 3:16-19). (Fear and bravery are likewise contagious.)

As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. A WICKED AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION LOOKS FOR A MIRACULOUS SIGN, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away. (Mat 16:1-4)Our day is sadly filled with religious people who are "wicked and adulterous" in that way - seeking signs. MIRACLES FROM GOD AND HIS SERVANTS DO OCCUR, but seeking to observe such is not to be our focus.
The "sign of Jonah", that the Lord mentioned, is Jesus' physical immortal, bodily resurrection from the dead after being buried for 3 days. That is the chief sign showing Jesus is Messiah.

But those who are CONSIDERED WORTHY of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, (Luke 20:35)Worthy is a term that some hate to use, but Jesus used it in the foregoing verse and also in these other verses: Mt. 10:37-38; Rev. 3:4, etc. This truth means that the final overcomers are indeed WORTHY of God's kingdom (by their submissive and enduring faith in the Lord Jesus); otherwise, they too would be excluded - like most (Mt. 7:13-14; Lk. 13:23-24).

That truth is conclusive proof of the deity of Christ.
Then those who were in the boat WORSHIPED him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." (Mat 14:33)
The foregoing point clinches the true meaning of this Greek term, thereby indirectly proving the deity of Christ, which was manifested by the worship Jesus received from both angels and the apostles.
