To be a Christian is to live godly (Mt. 10:37,38; Lk. 9:23; Rev. 2:10,11; etc.). To live godly will bring persecution (2 Tim. 3:12). The TEST of PERSECUTION can be spiritually lethal (Lk. 8:13), but it also brings a great reward for the persecuted, who REMAIN FAITHFUL to Jesus (Mt. 5:10-12; Lk. 6:22).
Realizing that truth is part of walking in faith and fixing our eyes on what is unseen. That will help us so we can endure to the end to be saved (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Gal. 6:8,9; etc.).

...Others were TORTURED and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. (Heb. 11:35)The Greek term translated "tortured " there means: to stretch on an instrument resembling a drum and thus beat to death.
Those examples of the faith chose to be beaten to death rather than miss out on the "better resurrection" - the resurrection unto life (Jn. 5:29). They had saving faith and the world was not worthy of them, yet were persecuted to that degree. Beheading is awaiting this last generation of saints. (Rev. 20:4)
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Rev 20:6)

Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. When Jesus addressed the 7 churches in Asia (Rev. 2 and 3), he never said anything even close to what OSAS claims. Instead, Jesus told them:
The same Jesus, who said " It is finished" from the cross - wanted the lukewarm Laodiceans HOT. He told them to REPENT and warned them he would spew them out of his body (out of the body of Christ) unless they repented and became hot.

God wants from us to have a PRESENT TENSE SUBMISSIVE FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, DOING HIS WILL TILL THE VERY END.
He [Jesus] replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice." (Luke 8:21)
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Mat. 7:21)
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe [PRESENT TENSE in the Greek]. There is no difference, (Rom. 3:21,22)
and, once made perfect, he [Jesus] became the source of eternal salvation for all who OBEY him (Heb. 5:9)
...Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev. 2:10,11)**FOCUS on the New Testament.

...I preached that they should repent and turn to God and PROVE THEIR REPENTANCE BY THEIR DEEDS. (Acts 26:20)Man cannot see the heart like God can. Hence, WE PROVE TO MAN our repentance by our deeds, which he can see. That truth is related to this:
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (Mat. 7:16,17)

God IS love, but he is also righteous and just, thus meaning that those who die spiritually impure will be thrown into the fiery furnace (Mt. 13:41,42; etc.);
Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels - not for man, but people who die in their sins will certainly go there as well (Mt. 25:41).
The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them." (Mat. 13:10,11)

You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. (Neh. 9:6)
This is what God the LORD says - he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it (Isa 42:5).God's unique infinite limitless POWER, CREATIVITY and WISDOM are reflected in those wonderful passages.

ALL SCRIPTURE, including what Paul wrote, was inspired by the Holy Spirit. What is in the Pauline epistles is God's word (scripture) and is not merely man's opinion.
To reiterate, Paul made favorable mention of women and spoke highly of them - named and unnamed - and their contribution to the early church.
