(Rom 16:7)** The point [the beginning] of your salvation is when you repented and were set free from sin's addictions. IF that radical new creation in Christ experience never happened for you, then you have never been saved and are yet DEAD AND LOST, in need of true salvation, though you might be religious and wrongly claim to be a Christian. Unfortunately, most are not even aware of, must less understand, the difference between initial and final salvation - the latter being an actual entrance into the kingdom doors at the end of your physical life; OSAS doctrine does not allow for such depth and differentiation.

**To worship ANY creature is idolatry, and idolatry will drag you to the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8).
** What does it mean to be holy (synonymous with being pure in heart)? Holiness, including sanctification, means cleaning up the heart by ridding of the evils we just saw listed above in Mk. 7:21-23. We also see similar listings and commands to put away such sins in Col. 3:5-8, Eph. 4:31 and 1 Peter 2:1. The holy overcomers are victorious over their sinful nature as explained by the Lord Jesus in Rev. 21:8, and as also defined in Gal. 5:19-21.
Compare the following verses and note the overlap.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. (Col. 3:5)
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips (Col. 3:5:8).
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. (Eph. 4:31)
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. (1 Pet. 2:1)

"I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways. They are ALL HARDENED REBELS, GOING ABOUT TO **SLANDER. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly. The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out. THEY ARE CALLED REJECTED SILVER, because the LORD has rejected them." (Jer 6:27-30)Note how much God hates slander. (See also 1 Pet. 2:1, Eph. 4:31, Col. 3:5:8, among others). To remedy the situation, turn away from your sins. Forgive all who have sinned against you. GET DEAD SERIOUS ABOUT LIVING HOLY.
On a side note: Could it be that the slander of the Apostle Paul as the worst of sinners falls under this condemnation of slander?
Ponder the following verse.

We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. (1 John 4:6)That last reference informs us how to spot the "spirit of falsehood," that is, those who do not listen to the Lord's apostles (their teachings, as recorded in scripture).

I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. (Acts 20:21)At that point - which is salvation, that same person has eternal life (because he has the Lord Jesus, 1 Jn. 5:12). Salvation is present tense, ongoing and future. As long as one truly believes on Jesus (obeys), he has salvation (and eternal life) this side of the grave. Thus, the belief is a continuous belief, and it is not based solely on one past moment of faith, as the eternal security proponents imply and misrepresent; they are often slick talkers and good salesmen, **often ensnaring the unsuspecting (Rom. 16:17-18). Furthermore, eternal life is spiritual life, and that life is in the spirit of man (Rom. 8:10b).
Our sins are dragging us to eternal fire (Mt. 13:41,42), and we all need the one and only Savior (the Lord Jesus Christ) - Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12; etc. NOTE.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:9-11, NASB)

All JWs will do a drastic, 180 degree change in their beliefs (and teachings), as quickly and as often as "Jehovah's mouthpiece", their corporate "prophet" leaders, likened unto Ezekiel, get 'new light' and changes.
They maintain a close submission to "Jehovah's organization" for salvation - believing ONLY their leaders can correctly interpret the scriptures. WHY? Because their leaders told them, and they believed it! Their trust of these leaders even includes their faulty belief that Jesus is Michael the archangel with NO scriptural proof, while ignoring many scriptures to the contrary, including Heb. 1:6 which shows all the angels, Michael included, WORSHIP Jesus.
Now you know what a Jehovah's Witness is the next time one comes to your door OR you see one standing by their magazine rack on the sidewalk.
