REALITY is: We live in a HOSTILE and unjust world with some VICIOUSLY HATEFUL, RELIGIOUS people
A prime example of that is the old prophet from Bethel in 1 Kings 13, who aggressively but subtly HATED the "man of God" (the prophet from Judah), who came into his territory and was mightily used by God there. That old prophet came in a friendly and religious manner, but was a DEADLY enemy of his! Read that chapter carefully and remain guarded in life, because people like that old prophet are still in our world and some might know about YOU.That man of God was very sincere, but was religiously deceived.
If we read between the lines, it is very plausible that the wicked old prophet was *jealous of the true man of God who God was using in HIS 'turf' - home territory. Secondly, the old prophet was similar to Jezebel. How? Though she killed off more of God's prophets (1 Ki 18:4), he too killed at least one.
Anger is cruel, and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy. (Prov. 27:4)

Such 'secrecy' of 'who is a Christian' is DEMONIC. It is indirectly shouting out a powerless gospel that does not radically save and set one free from his sin addictions. Also, (1) we can distinguish the wheat from the tares and (2) we shall know them by their fruit (Mt. 7:16, 12:33; Lk. 6:43; James 3:12).
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, BUT PEOPLE LOVED DARKNESS INSTEAD OF LIGHT BECAUSE THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (Jn. 3:19,20)

God honored Jacob over Esau!
God is the God of "truth" (Psa. 31:5; etc.) and cannot lie (Titus 1:2), yet Esau was set to have been the noted son of Isaac, yet Jacob got that position!1. Esau sold his birthright (inheritance rights) as the oldest to Jacob, his younger brother, for some stew:
He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom.) Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright." "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?" But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Jacob, with the prodding and DECEITFUL help of his mother, got Esau's blessing instead!

See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who FOR A SINGLE MEAL SOLD HIS INHERITANCE RIGHTS AS THE OLDEST SON. Afterward, as you know, when HE WANTED TO INHERIT THIS BLESSING, HE WAS REJECTED. HE COULD BRING ABOUT NO CHANGE OF MIND, THOUGH HE SOUGHT THE BLESSING WITH TEARS. (Heb. 12:16,17)
So Jacob became known instead of Esau - "Abraham, Isaac and JACOB".

Solomon is, SADLY, a prime example of the unrepentant in the OT, but in the NT we read:
For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you to be not what I wish, and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, angry tempers, selfishness, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbances; I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of THOSE WHO HAVE SINNED IN THE PAST AND NOT REPENTED of the impurity, sexual immorality, and indecent behavior which they have PRACTICED. (2 Cor. 12:20,21, NASB)Other apostates are shown here: Heb. 6:4-6; 10:26-29 and Jn. 6:66.
NOTE those in 2 Cor. 12:20,21 practiced sin and did not repent, which causes theological trouble for some. Please also know that sins- like adultery, theft, lying, idolatry, etc., can lead to spiritual death even if committed just one time.
On the other hand, The prodigal son is an example of someone who did repent when HE CAME TO HIS SENSES. He became "ALIVE AGAIN" (Lk. 15:24).

Another Bible MYSTERY
After Jesus resurrected bodily, he appeared to his own disciples:

The answer is a MYSTERY, because nothing explicit is stated in scripture, but MAYBE, just MAYBE, Jesus' glorified body, though tangible "flesh and bones" which could be "touched", somehow resembled a spirit. (No one had ever seen such a glorified body before. That was the first time ever.)

A Temptation Is Not a Sin

REMEMBER: There were NO chapter or verse divisions in the NT when written
Those chapter and verse divisions came later, and some of them have caused people to miss a very important truth. Below are three such examples:even as I try to please everybody in every way. (Mat 17:3)The chapter division should not be there. The fulfillment of Mt. 16:28 is stated at the beginning of chapter 17. Again, the chapter division has given skeptics FALSE 'ammo' to use against Christians. Don't be misled.

HOW Could the Following Requirement Be Possible for SALVATION?
