Do you have to confess your sins to come to initial salvation (to get "born again")?
ANSWER: No.IF you did, how could you ever remember all your sins? Furthermore, we have the clear example of Cornelius, who was saved WITHOUT confessing his sins - Acts 10:43-48. The repentant thief dying next to the Lord Jesus is another example (Lk. 23:42,43) They are just two examples.
Now, AFTER we are initially saved (born again) - if we turn to sin then, we are to repent and confess that sin: there is no pre-forgiveness of future sins.
He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. (Acts 8:22)

(1) Uzzah touched the ark and died:When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, UZZAH REACHED OUT AND TOOK HOLD OF THE ARK OF GOD, BECAUSE THE OXEN STUMBLED. The Lord's anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down and he died there beside the ark of God. (2 Sam 6:6,7)
(2) In contrast, the pagan Philistines captured the ark, moved it and did not die!
After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. Then they CARRIED THE ARK INTO DAGON'S TEMPLE AND SET IT BESIDE DAGON. When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was DAGON, FALLEN ON HIS FACE ON THE GROUND BEFORE THE ARK OF THE LORD! They took Dagon and put him back in his place. But the following morning when they rose, there WAS DAGON, FALLEN ON HIS FACE ON THE GROUND BEFORE THE ARK OF THE LORD! HIS HEAD AND HANDS HAD BEEN BROKEN OFF AND WERE LYING ON THE THRESHOLD; ONLY HIS BODY REMAINED. That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon's temple at Ashdod step on the threshold. The Lord's hand was heavy upon the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation upon them and afflicted them with tumors. (1 Sam 5:1-6)The Ark was not to be touched, but carried by poles through the rings on the side of the Ark:
Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest to carry it. The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. (Exo 25:14,15)Uzzah violated that boundary and died, but the pagan Philistines seemed to get away with it. **BTW, NOTEWORTHY is what happened when the Ark was brought into their pagan temple - Dagon's temple: (a) that idol fell before the Ark and (b) fell and broke off the head and hands of it.

How is this a LIE - "Real Christians Hate Their Own Sin"
Though a common teaching now, the foregoing premise is false, and it presents the Christian image as a POWERLESS-over-sin "form" and failure - no better than the lost (the "sinner"). It is a form of godliness, but denies the power:

BTW, for them to call their teacher "rabbi," OR to go by that title, is to VIOLATE the following:

BTW, because EXAMPLE (even non-verbal example) is SO POWERFUL, the high and holy qualifications for spiritual leadership are stated (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1; 1 Peter 5). To violate them WILL cause HARM, just as Peter's non-verbal example adversely affected the Apostle Barnabas.

It is clear: God created EVERYTHING ("all things") alone and by himself, disproving the fallacious idea (heresy) that the father created Jesus, after which he had him create everything else. Jesus is eternal life (1 Jn. 1:2) and "from everlasting" (Micah 5:2). This point is clear - it was God (Jesus), who created everything.

Observations:
- The godly rebuke was: Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you;
- The appointed judges were told - "Consider carefully what you do" AND a second time: "judge carefully";
- "NOW LET THE FEAR OF THE LORD BE UPON YOU" was initially spoken to judges.
- With the LORD our God, there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.
When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as judges for Israel. The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. Soul Sleep - Is It True?
Jesus actually spoke with two literal men from the Old Testament -- Moses and Elijah; we see that at the Mount of Transfiguration. (Mt. 17:1-8; Luke 9:30-36). Moses had already died physically (Deut. 34:7), while Elijah was whirled away in a chariot of fire (2 Kings 2:1 cf. v. 11). The point is: Moses wasn't in an unconscious state of soul sleep, awaiting the resurrection. He was mentally alert and conversing with Jesus. Also, Elijah never died! Therefore, he was just as conscious as Moses and as we are now. Their conversation with Jesus really occurred, and it was about Jesus' imminent departure -- his physical death (Mt. 17:3; Luke 9:31).Then we have another blow to soul sleep with what Jesus said here:
Now about the dead rising--have you not read in the book of Moses, in the account of the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken! (Mark 12:26,27)Though Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were already dead, when Moses heard those words (see Ex. 3:6), God stated he is the God of the living, referring to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They were conscious and aware, as Moses was.
Moreover, in Revelation, under heaven's altar, were slain souls who were speaking, given white robes and told to wait (Rev. 6:9-11). They also were obviously not unconscious. Yet, another similar passage is the following:
Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. (Rev 7:13-15)The elder showed John the future, great tribulation saints in heaven, who were wearing white robes and serving God day and night in his temple. You can't serve God unless you are conscious and aware. They were just as conscious, aware and alive as God and Jesus, whom John also saw in his vision. Following are even more problems for soul sleep proponents:
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Jude 7)That verse refutes both soul sleep and annihilation of the wicked dead. How? Because the Sodomites, who were killed with burning sulfur raining down upon them (Gen. 19) - which was approximately 2,000 years before Jude wrote that passage, were still suffering. For them to be suffering pain, in eternal fire, shows they were conscious and, as a consequence, there was no soul sleep for them either. Jude 7 is another blow to both the Seventh Day Adventist and Jehovah's Witness doctrines of soul sleep and annihilation of the wicked dead! Here is yet another passage showing the similar truth:
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water" (1 Pet. 3:18-20).That shows Jesus actually preached, after he died for our sins and before his bodily resurrection, to the spirits in prison who were destroyed during the Great Flood. The foregoing occurrence implies that the ones, to whom Jesus preached, were fully conscious and not in an unconscious, oblivious, soul sleep state as it would be futile and illogical to preach to unconscious people.
Furthermore, all the New Testament truths describing death for the righteous are ignored or misapplied by soul sleep proponents. Scriptures like Phil. 1:21-23; 2 Cor. 5:8; Luke 23:43 and especially Luke 16:19-31 which is not a parable. In Luke 16:19-31, Jesus mentions real literal people, who were not unconscious after their physical death, but instead in comfort or fiery torment. The Rich Man and Lazarus teaching is one of the most stirring passages in the whole Bible about the afterlife!
Another point: The lake of fire, also known as the fiery furnace (Mt. 13:42, 50, etc.) or the second death (Rev. 21:8, 2:11, 20:6, 19:20) is where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for those who go there. Those who are unconscious, or unaware and feeling nothing, would not be weeping and gnashing their teeth.
